The english title of the song is „thunderous“ and the korean title is „소리꾼“ (soriggun), „소리“ (sori) translates to something like noisy and „꾼“ (ggun) refers to something you‘re really good at, so it kinda means, that they are really good at making noise! I think they choose this title bc the haters always tell them they make noisy music!
Thunderous" is a diss track, a clapback at the haters who sneer at Stray Kids' so-called "noise music". They're saying that they're going to keep experimenting and making the music they want to make, no matter what people say about them.
I love how he tells us to go subscribe to JYP before he tells us to subscribe to him lol I love that! Also love your reaction videos they’re amazing! Like I see a lot of reactors especially to K-Pop but I like yours the most. Keep doing what you’re doing and have a great day!
a genius, you have to see maniac is a work of art, he dominated not only the video, but the video of the chorography is spectacular and all of the new album too.
channels like "form of therapy" do album listening parties by not including the music in the video and instead having viewers sync up by playing the songs themselves in another tab, its a little more work for viewers but it works well and avoids copyright problems!
Yessir! This was my first SKZ’s comeback and I loved it! It has that aggressive type of vibe which I really like, and it also reminds me of God’s Menu in a way. Overall it’s just 🔥🔥
The album is amazing. So many different styles, types and genres of music. I love all of the 14 songs. Wolfgang has a live performance with 7 members because it was created for when they were on the Kingdom show. Oh mix tape also has a m/v with all 8 members and it was released after kingdom and before this 2nd album dropped. Domino is a banger hard hitting rap. There are a few songs where the members were in units and all of those m/vs are awesome. My favorites besides this m/v is The View and Sorry I like you, Wolfgang and Oh mix tape.
Holy moly this song just gives me goosebumps! It was so insane. Completely agree, how could it only be just over 3 mins? They need to make a loop of it like Twenty One Pilots did with "Level of Concern". Your reaction was exactly how I felt watching this for the first time, loved it!
I have legitimately been watching reaction videos for 6 hours, and I have to stop; no one can top you. You got me so hyped again! ❤ I reacted the same way the first time honestly. ❤❤❤
My dude, when you get around to listening to the whole album, you are gonna fucking LOVE Cheese 🧀🔥 it's some of the HARDEST shit I've ever heard Stray Kids do, and it BANGS. Domino and Ssick are probably gonna be big hits with you, too. The whole album is just fucking unreal though, you're in for a TREAT!
Funny thing about the haters that give thumbs down is that it all counts as interaction on the channel where YT is concerned, so they’re basically screwing themselves. :)
Enjoyed your reaction to the KZS, thank you! The central themes are that the KZS are the legendary mythological creatures called Dokkaeb (in the first animation it shows them turning into flames) the reason that you see blue flames above their heads. Also, their references of being "Thunderous" (the meaning in Hangul/Korean) 1.sorikkun : A great singer: A person who sings pansori, a Korean storytelling song, or folk songs, etc. And that is only a surface look. Whew, this was well worth the teasing and the wait.
Oh man if you’re gonna stop RIGHT before the drop to prepare yourself for the drop… PLEASE go back like 5 seconds again so it doesn’t just start from the drop with no build up . I’m a girl and that was the worst case of internet blue balls I’ve ever encountered 😂
The whole song (actually even the title/theme of the overall album) is a clapback/diss to the ongoing hate about SKZ being "noise music" and not Korean enough and making music not consistent with mainstream preferences. Not just the lyrics, which are pretty blatant, but also things like them being dokkaebi (like Korean goblins) and descending from the sky to combat nagging/criticism and heal listeners (that's not me theorizing; this was their actual explanation). Using a traditional Korean folklore creature to combat the "you're not Korean enough" criticism. That's also where the traditional Korean setting and background characters, combined with modern elements like cars and computers, come in: "Our history is still our history; we're just capable of progressing and modernizing at the same time." But I think what I love most is that they used almost entirely traditional Korean instruments, especially the various percussion pieces, to create this wall of "noise." They did a straight callback (both audio and the video scenes) to the fact that these instruments were, in fact, used to deliberately create impressive levels of noise in history as fanfare for people and announcements of importance. In other words: "Noise music is the most Korean thing ever, so keep on complaining because your words mean nothing, haters." As usual, SKZ being multilayered.
MV, there are many Chinese elements. This musical instrument is not entirely Korean culture, right? I would say that this is East Asian culture. Of course, Korea is closer to this culture, especially in temple fairs in Chinese country. There are often similar drums and percussion...
I agree with the rest of the comments. The whole albums I’d dope. But your more of a rocker, drum, bass, horn type vibe, but Redlights is good has a R& B vibe. Domino would be up your alley. You might like Sick too. Let us know when you listen! I love your reactions!
bro you have to be a Stay (Stray Kids fan) by now or something cause we yell at you to do and you do. Then you start vibing the second they start singing.
Thank you for reacting to Stray Kids! This song is attached to an album that was released yesterday! You should definitely react to it all or at least DOMINO or SSICK!
If you want to do an album listen, I believe if you do 3 at a time you’d be ok. At least based off of other reactors that do album listens. Either way you should check it out. The whole album is FIRE, I felt like I was having a heart attack bc it was THAT GOOD!
You definitely need to check out Domino! If you haven't already I love that your only criticism was that the video was too short xD Which I can 100% agree with
