My dog Atlas and I (Brett) go solo backcountry camping in a kayak. Join us as we do some bushcraft tent building and campfire cooking as well as fishing for an awesome summer adventure on the Au Sable River in Northern Michigan. Meals include a tuna melt, shrimp quesadillas over a campfire and french toast made in a pie iron with bacon and syrup on top.

Au Sable River, one of the great trout streams. Catch trout, clean trout, cook with a very light coating of flour, salt, pepper, in cast iron on your open fire. Nothing better. It will cook fast so don't leave it alone.

I wanna be on that peaceful lil river right about now! Do you like your new tent so far? Looks like a much quicker set up. Cool way to downsize on your gear.

Yea I really like it! I can do a few different configurations and yes its lightweight and packs small without polls as well as spacious on the inside. Can't wait to take it backpacking
