Warforged artificer artillerist with the izzet engineer as the background. I have made a monster.

This background is perfect for Rock Gnomes. They have the traits of "Artificer's Lore" and "Tinker". Supposed a Rock Gnome became an artificer and joined the league.

Glyph of warding takes an hour to cast, it’s a bit more than a couple moments to lay an explosive rune

My Vedalken Artificer uses this background, and it’s a lot of fun!! Honestly I love the Ravnica backgrounds

for the most partwhen i use this background i ignore the spells to make it more balanced

You forgot to mention one of it's best features, it's arcane focus (or divine/druidic) can be a steampunk style gauntlet.

Im using this background on my character a kobold artificer

Can someone help me understand exactly how the expanded spell list work? I play a wizard Are these spells added to my spellbook instantly or they are just added to the list of spells i can learn when i level up?

Perfect for a warlock, right? Rope trick and glyph of warding aren't normally o. Their list, right? Sweet. This means I can guarantee a safe short rest! I would be unstoppable!!! Too bad. I don't want to be a warlock.

Warding still cost time and money to place 2 rope trick why not just take book of secrets and get the better version as a ritual.....or have a wizard do that x.x
