Good video, did not lower my fear of open surgery but it is good to understand this disease. What I not understand is why there is no drug which stops building scars after DVIU! We can heal so many diseases but can't stop such a simple think like a scar.

I am a patient with urethral stricture and my Doctor did DVIU procedure 3 times and 1 Bougie dilatation, but now I am faced with worst challenges during urination. I think the next procedure have to be urethroplasty. According the doctors cystoscopy report the stricture is around Bulbar urethra. I have acquired a lot of information and once again Thank you.
Alemayeh Abadi shit sucks doesn’t it? I’m 2 weeks in from a urethroplasty one more week with a catheter. To ease your mind the surgery and recovery has been a breeze worst part is having a catheter for 3 weeks and can’t lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for 4 weeks. I’m hoping this takes care of it and hope the same for you.
SEAN SIM I’m not really sure. Could a been from an infection or trauma. It’s definitely a mystery to me. I had it for a while just never had it taken care of. Was afraid of what I was going to be told. But glad I did now. Hope all is well with you.

Xavier Matera I’m doing good. I had the urethroplasty but the stricture came back so she did another dilation and cut the bad skin out from the scar tissue and been good ever since. It’s definitely scary not knowing what’s going on. You will be ok try not to think about it to much. I’ll be thinking of you. You got this.
