My backpacking journey through Afghanistan's rugged Wakhan Corridor (as an American). I spent a total of two weeks in the country, 10-days trekking over 100 miles through the Pamir Mountains. It was a wild trip!

I worked 2 times in Afghanistan and have travelled in quite a number of countries around the world, but Afghanstan is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been. Great video.

@@casio007. One of the reasons, I find Afghanistan so special, is among others the great variety of nature, with steep mountain passes in the east and the south, deserts in e.g. Kandahar, the wide steppes of the north.

I fell in love with Afghanistan, I was there for over a year. I'll never forget the majestic mountains, beautiful people, and amazing food. I've never seen so many stars in my life, Iceland and the Grand Canyon come second. I will go back again.

This reminds me of when we packed our bags left our homes 35 years ago, passing Kuner province, from Kabul to Peshawar,, another must see places, where I like to revisit.. maybe this time don’t have to hide from Russian fighter jets up above, and their soldiers with our own communist collaborators, with heavy heart of not having our dad, who was taken from our home at the middle of the night with no return 😔.. at check points.. maybe at a peaceful time, with a camera, and my kids, who are so curious about my journey .. taking them to memory land,,, Those orange trees, amazing gardens and valleys along high mountains.. unforgettable images💞 Thank you for sharing your journey. Best of luck!! Please don’t be a missionary, let people be.. because the call of prayers at those up high mountains are majestic ... those mountains are made to echo the Azon ( call to prayers).. please let it be🙏..

Afghanastan has very beautiful, honest and kind people, the nature is great and refreshing. I guess you've never visited Afghanistan, because you'd know that it has a warm aura and you automatically feel welcomed. Stop trying to bring Afghanistan down and stop telling other people lies.

Samir Saidi afghanistans average elevation is about 6000 feet the central Highlands around the salang pass parwan and bamiyan reach 12000 feet but badakhshan province is entirely in the Hindu kush mountains so it's all mountains and very beautiful the most beautiful part of afghanistan along with Kumar nuristan and the salang pass 😊
