My 2nd stop on the Greyhound bus was Surfers Paradise where I stayed 3 nights in Bunk Hostel. I laid by the beach, went on a night out and spent a day at Wet'n'Wild! This is not my fave place on the East Coast but it was fun to visit.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

You have forgot one very important thing with surfers paradise. Schoolies is definitely a place well try to avoid due to the amount of school kids who swarm there to celebrate finishing high school. Schoolies week is held at the end of November each year. It usually spreads over multiple weeks due to some states and schools finishing their school semester at different times. Queensland school leavers celebrate schoolies first, with NSW and Victoria then being spread over the following 2 weeks.

Ah, the surfing fear. I get it. I got that too. Remember, the best surfer is the on who is having the most fun. Who cares what board you ride or if you choose a foam board 🏄‍♀️

@@myronn.menezes She has gotten them before, but it is usually in countries where hotel or private rooms are affordable. They are certainly less affordable in countries like Australia. She got a lot of private rooms when she went to Thailand, for example.

Hi , would you recommend going to surfers paradise for a weekend. land on friday and fly back on monday. the most i can get is 4 days off from work. I am in melbourne. Thanks

I don’t personally think I’d pick Surfers Paradise as my first choice. I think there is more to do in Byron Bay or Fraser Island.

I'm so curious to see your vlogs from Brisbane! I went to Australia last september/october (after preiring myself with your old video's!) but abolutely hated Brisbane :') Partly because of the hostel, but also because I didn't feel safe nor clean in the city. Then I also got sick and had to spend 50% of my time there in my bunk lol. So I can't wait to still "enjoy" Brizzy through your vlogs

Victoria is a bit warmer than the UK. The landscapes are more vast also. But I guess Melbourne feels most similar to London out of all the Australian cities.
