Another stunningly beautiful video. I don't know if I'm the only one but I always hit like before I even watch your videos. Because I know they're going to be spectacular. Thanks again for taking us along on this beautiful Journey. Safe travels to you and Joey
No, you are not the only one. 😄. I also hit that Like button in the first 2 seconds of Catherine’s videos. I don’t want to forget to do this when I get so entranced by the beautiful scenery Catherine expertly captures.
Catherine I’m went on the lost coast backpacking before you needed a permit and bear canisters, we hiked it 20 times and never got tired of it we stayed many time at smiths cabin on Spanish flat we know the people that own it , but also camped at the mouth of the creek . We took 5 days from mouth of matole river to black sands beach . Always went the time you did , just told friend I want to do it again . We are in our 70 s
The ocean, the vistas, the meadow, the wild flowers, the poppies, the tree laden mountains and the animals, this video had it all. Even the wind was fascinating. You never disappoint.
@CatherineGregoryAdventures very lucky to live there ❤️

California is one of the most incredible places, so many diverse ecosystems you can find pretty much everything here, feel truly blessed to call it home
Whoa....the ocean, the ruggedness, the nature, the wind, the awesome beauty of it all! You captured it so perfectly with your artistry and music, Catherine... Thank you!!!!
@Catherine Gregory, I feel so calm and relaxed after each of your videos. I learn something new from each of them. One thing that’s funny is that I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and one of my cats, I believe, has a crush on you. I follow several youtube channels. When yours starts and you speak, he comes running, cuddles up and watches the entirety of your video. Then he’s up and back at life. He doesn’t cuddle and nap, mind you. He watches and I see his head move and he follows you through each shot. Pls consider that a compliment, as he’s a rescue who likes only a very, very few people. This video is perfection. Thank you for sharing this hike. I’m amazed that you saw so much wildlife along the way.
For real. I am from Utah. Parents born and raised in. Oregon. We spent our summers camping on the coast starting in Oregon and working our way down to northern Cali. Growing up in the giant trees and on the coast was amazing.
Hiking on those sand beaches is tough, but what a beautiful place. Sea Lion Steve, the deer, the birds, such a great experience. Must have been so calming at night, listening to the waves. Thank you for sharing this, your videos are such a treat to us on Sunday mornings, we look forward to it!
First off, congrats for hitting 100K subscribers! That's great. And, yet another fabulous vid is in the books. Simply beautiful. As always, Catherine, thank you for taking us along on your journey. Safe travels, have fun and we'll see you in the next video! 🎉
I lived up in Humboldt Co. for three years, so I know a little something about the Lost Coast. The few times I've been there, I've never saw or ran into anyone, on the road or down on the beach. But I don't know about now a days with all the attention through YT videos....have fun !!
I walked from Matole river to ShelterCove along the lost coast maybe 20 years ago. Never saw another person during the five days. I was visited by bears several times but my dog Luther alerted me. Magical trip!!
100k subs! That’s awesome and it should be more like 1 million. The way you shoot and narrate your videos is so calming and so genuine. You do such an amazing job Cat and I thank you so much for sharing such beautiful places and giving me ideas for my own future adventures. All the best and happiest of trails to you 🥾
My wife noticed that too. He looks back to make sure Catherine's okay. He seems like a sweet guy. Even when Catherine wasn't feeling so well in the Gila, he told her at camp "Happy Cat" trying to comfort her.
Wow! Just phenomenal, Catherine & Joey. Cat, your gorgeous perspective, accompanied by soul-stirring music, brought tears to my eyes several times. I’m so grateful to you for creating and sharing such awesome beauty. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for the video. Georgius scenery. I lived on the Mendocino coast for a few years and loved it. The Lost Coast is a mystery to so many. I have driven on Hwy 101 from Willits to Eureka many times and the road is a number of miles east of the Lost coast. Now I know what it looks like.
I hope this area always stays wild as it is otherworldly. Beautifully filmed video. Thank you both so much for bringing it to us. Be safe and joyful as you always are. Did not want it to end. You will be back, like you said.🦅🌺🐬
Thank you for sharing a view of the California Coast I've never seen and enjoyed. This reminds me of how grateful I am at the beauty and variation of this state.
Another amazing backpacking adventure! The views, diversity of the stunning landscape, was incredible. I can’t imagine how exhausted you must have been each evening. Thanks for letting us tag along. Our best to you & Joey!
I agree, always hit like before i even watch. A great adventure for you & Joey. Thank you for always taking us along with you! You are both beautiful souls.😊
Thanks for the memories! I have lived on the northern coast of Cali and the southern coast of Oregon, my favorite coastlines in the U.S. I miss them and will return, in retirement hopefully.
I love the lost coast. It's a great weekend trip on the Harley... spent many a weekend on a balcony having a glass of wine at the Inn Of The Lost Coast!
Good morning Cat, thanks so much to you and Joey for taking me to another magnificent location that I never would have seen without you guys. I am very grateful to you both. Thanks from here in Pennsylvania. Stay safe. Bob
Totally a true diverse area! Breathtakingly beautiful 🌊 ocean, mountains, meadows & streams ❤A favorite part for me was seeing a deer walk the seashore. 😮 Great trip you two! Definitely a favorite for me 👍🏻🙋🏼♀️
Finally got around to watching this video (busy weekend). One of your best Cat! Glad you have Joey as a partner. Trips like this really shouldn't be done alone. Not only for safety reasons, but shared adventures are always better! :)
This video was just exceptional and I have viewed them all! Catherine, the combined footage from both of you made the experience come alive as if I were right alongside the both of you on this gorgeous trip on the Lost Coast. It is on my bucket list and I almost feel I have done it already after watching this. As I have mentioned before, having Joey there just adds so much depth and character. I love how you always ask him “whatcha got going there?” 😂😂😂 His answers and comments are priceless. Beautiful footage and some amazing feels! Thank you for the hard work you put into this for us. ❤️❤️❤️
I loved this video! I grew up going to the East Coast (NJ beaches) and they are so different than this. It's amazing that you have the ocean on the one side, and mountains, streams/waterfalls on the other. There is just something about the ocean that calls out.
Thank you, Cat, for sharing this unbelievable place with us. I thought there was no undeveloped coastline left in California; thank goodness it is only accessible by foot.
Thank you for this gorgeous video. You have excellent videography skills, Catherine. I love the Lost Coast. I am always surprised how few people know about it. I suppose that's a good thing. I'm unable to hike, but I love visiting Shelter Cove and taking walks on the beach. At night you can look north and south of the beach and see no lights at all. Nature won the battle of the coastline here and it's a very special California paradise.
Wow. What a fantastic video/trip. You are never going to forget this one. I'm a native California gal, living in Az now. I remember growing up at the beach as a youngster making sand castles. What absolute beauty. So glad you have Joey to help you. Thank both of you for sharing this trip with us.
Lovely hike along the ocean. An interesting departure from the wooded hikes, which are also beautiful. The poppies were gorgeous and the wildlife was great. First time I've ever seen a deer walking along the ocean front. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking us along.
Well. This was about a 20 “wow!” video for me. Stunning. As a single older woman full timer, I’ve been reluctant to go there because of the isolation. No more. Thank you.❤
Awesome video, Catherine and Joey! Loved it all. Beautiful campsites, rugged coastline, peaceful meadows, and wonderful wildlife! Amazing trip. We will add this hike to our ever growing bucket list! ❤ Thanks so much for sharing all of this beauty with us! 😊
Thanks for mentioning why you were using the Osprey.☺️. That is the pack I have. It is so comfortable! I know other packs are lighter, but they are expensive, so trying out others may not happen. 😁 I’ll cut down weight somewhere else so I can keep enjoying the Osprey Aura on the trail.👍
What a beautiful trip. I have never done a thorough hike, but if some day I do, I wanted to find someone knowledgeable like Joe. He always knows where the bears are.
Loved the video . I've read many of the comments and can't add much but a couple of thoughts that I have about the area and didn't see in the comments . Humbolt county is well known for Sasquatch sightings and several people have reported seeing them on those beaches ! My other thought about that hike was that I would take a surf rod for some fresh fish dinners over the camp fire ! Just a couple things that ran through my mind, just fwiw . Watch for huge human looking bare foot tracks next time you make that hike , it would be really neat to see them. I know, I'm weird that way ! LOL. Thanks for the epic video , it was great just as it was !
I’ve always wanted to go to the Lost Coast! WAY better than any desert hike! The wild coasts of NorCal, Oregon and Olympic peninsula is my happy place. What health for the soul! I adore the artistry of my Creator! Thanks for sharing this with us!!!
I've been following your adventures for a while as another solo female traveler and I have to say your videos just keep getting better and better, very peaceful and calming!
Beautiful video! Love the chance to see ocean, meadows of wildflowers, awesome trees and streams all in the same hours show. Thanks for all your hard work bringing the enjoyment to us. Wish I could have hiked along. Have a wonderful, safe week wherever you are.
Ocean, mountains, wildlife, flowers you and Joey. I am tempted to say best trip ever but then i say that to all of them . Did Joey reach the lighthouse? I have so many questions. This seems like it was a real workout for you both. Love Joey's observations with yours. The snake the bear tracks, bear scat. The laughter and sense of adventure you both share, there are no words. Again from your senior friend thank you for the adventures we can no longer do. Truly a fully packed adventure.
Hi Catherine & Joey: The Lost Coast is really spectacular and wild! You had some rather dicey hiking with narrow, rocky strips of beaches in some places.. The wildlife, landslides, wildflowers, and lovely campsites were great and I really enjoyed your cinematography too! You're so talented! I backpacked north from Rialto Beach for 3 miles with a friend along the Washington coast many years ago which was just as wild and rugged. The West Coast of California, Oregon, and Washington State is really an awesome and wild place to hike.
