We took three days in early October, loaded the backpacks and headed out to the Seven Devils Mountains in the Hells Canyon Recreation Area in Idaho. It was just a 6.5 mile hike in but with the rugged terrain it was still a challenging hike. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. The fish were rising and the air had that crisp fall feel to it.
