that rock is a conglomerate it is formed right at where an Ice Age glacier stopped it's advance..love the red efts the terrestrial stage of the spotted newt!..great mountain views too!
This is on my list, we *almost* detoured to this very area on our trip to the Smokies a month ago. Thanks to your share, I have a much better idea of what to expect!
Awesome Overnight!! hahaa frog under your hammock i love it... so green out there, nice you got to go backpacking during your road trip! so weird there is all that sand in the middle of nowhere with the caves, really interesting spot. those views from the cliffs and Both the earlier falls and the trickle at the caves were also impressive.. glad it stopped raining but also really fun to see the forest all wet and green like that thanks for taking us with you

Those trails are absolutely beautiful those views are gorgeous You two are definitely having a fantastic time A lot of those rocks look exactly like topol edge here in Hinckley and Ohio
