Backsliding 

I backslid too. I have since recommitted my life to Christ and will. You’re not alone in the struggle. Believers need each other. Amen

2nd comment: Yes! There IS power in your testimony! That instant change you’re talking about I have experienced as well. I was going through demonic oppression, saw evil faces at night while trying to fall asleep, and as soon as I called out to Jesus he came in an instant and rescued me. All the evil darkness left me and I was completely new. I never had issues w mental health before that oppression, I was in the wilderness for the first time. And Jesus got me out of it.

Thanks for you testimony! I backslid as I placed my faith in Jesus because I wanted to experience sins i never experienced and do things I never done. I took salvation in Jesus as a free grace card to sin. I went thru multiple relationships and troubles until something very bad happened to me in 2020. Now it’s 2024 and I’m still suffering from the PTSD of the situation all because I chose wickedness instead of Jesus. But now Ive learned how to walk as a believer in a way. I understand why I don’t have to sin anymore. And I’m now trying to deny myself but these trials are very tough. God bless you.

Sarah, our testimonies are a bit different but so much the same as well. I was 19 too when I got saved. I backslid by letting the world in too much. It sickens me to think of how unfaithful I had become after everything He did for me. No excuse! Time goes by and the flame goes out. Long story short, I too, always looked back at that day of 19 years old and could not deny what had happened to me. Though our story is a little different I felt like you were telling my testimony as I listened. Thanks for sharing.

I backslid after my divorce I was bitter and frustrated, not sure how to feel about my situation then after settling down, I heard a voice say, "I love you"... I believe it was The Lord .. It was then that I knew everything would be okay.. God is merciful and will never leave no matter what, you can always come back and be forgiven. We eventually must learn to trust in Jesus because He truly loves us, Ever Present to help any time we call and Our Lord is there to fill us with His peace. Amen.

I can relate, no to worldly music and movies. Any videos online that will make us go cold to Jesus, fight it with a prayer. I am now working my self to be hot hot hot again in Jesus, to be faithful. I made a mistake before and I realized I should be constantly praying to fight the spiritual battles.

This video really touched me, I got radically saved out of witchcraft new age deception four years ago filled with the Holy Spirit and I was delivered from all alcohol and drugs vaping etc..but I ended up meeting my ex fiancé and slipping into fornication as a new believer and that’s over now but like just the past few days I’ve been literally shaking in fear that I’ve sinned willingly against the Lord after he revealed himself to me…this is encouraging he accepted you back…please pray for me if you could and also if you have any comments on when people feel like they can’t come back if they’ve backslid because of scriptures like Hebrews 6 and 11…I hope I see you in heaven sister!

The christian walk is messy, just consider backsliding as a sanctifying process. As you mature in Christ , you get a little better at staying on the narrow path, we all stumble because we aren't perfect until we reach heaven. As for the atheists, all arguments they present can be smashed by the word of God as it is truth . Study to show yourselves approved yet, all the knowledge of Scripture is nothing without Love. Love is what they cannot defend against. Look to Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith. ❤️‍🩹

I have backslidden into pornography and fornication and the kind of music I Iisten too. It was never a fun time but a rough time. Only God makes us pure, only God makes us holy. Thank goodness God holds us in His arms. and never lets us go.

Sarah! You are so awesome and such a wonderful encouragement. Thank you so much for sharing that. I got saved 3 years ago at 18 years old (august of 2020) and was completely in love with Jesus, but 1.5 years after I started taking Vyvanse (lisdexamphetamine, which is basically legal meth lol) to help me work at a restaurant and started drifting in my heart from the Lord. Started listening to horrible music with demonic lyrics (Juice Wrld) and ended up distant from the Lord for the next 1.5 years until a month ago. The Lord is working on my heart and I have been so convicted. How HORRIBLE is backsliding. The thing is, it’s not willful at first. It is a slow progression and desensitization to evil things and one day you wake up and you’re like “how did I get here, Lord?” But praise by to Christ! “Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!” (Romans 8). “It is for discipline that you endure” (Hebrews 12). “All that the Father gives me will come to Me, and the one coming to Me I will certainly not cast out” (John 6:37). What wonderful promises! Jesus, hold on to us, don’t let us think more of ourselves than we ought to think. Man, pride sure does come before a fall. But, Jesus will always hold on to us. Sarah I was back slider. You are so true we need to put on the full armor of God daily. Heavenly father I pray for Sarah to strengthen her walk and her relationship with you Holy Almighty God. Give her strength every single day to share your word and Jesus with others. Surround your Angel's around her to minister to her daily and to help her in ministry. Father send Angels to protect her and keep her safe. Everything she does let be for you and your glory. For me , you just testified three quarters of my own testimony in clear view. Through it all when no one was truly around me in my wilderness season, GOD WAS RIGHT THERE NEXT TO ME THE WHOLE TIME. Thank God for his goodness, mercy, grace and his UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR ME THAT I GOT THROUGH EVERYTHING. One single unrepented sin is enough to sweep your entire house. I knew one man who had nice sand castle by the shore of the sea. It had stunning and beautiful shapes, it even had electricity in it. Imagine, sand castle with electricity! But suddenly the wave came and all what was left, was just a sand and the view of the sea. Don't wait. If you don't love yourself enough to keep up, atleast do everything in your power to maintain your neighbour's castle and maybe one day that castle will turn from sand, to rock. Good luck.

Oh wow I reaaaaally needed to hear this one! Those little whispers of doubt have been hitting me recently. It’s rough sometimes when old friends try to challenge your beliefs. Im not gonna lie, I freeze up alot when people come up and speak about how the Bible contradicts and this n that… and I get it because I was once in that same mindset.but I’m convinced non believers don’t look deep enough nor do they wanna accept divine discipline because it’s easier to “live free” , but it’s just false freedom because worldly freedom attracts chaos. sometimes it’s hard to come up with the words to say to defend my faith because that doubting deceptive spirit really creeps in and hits you in that familiar area. It’s as if our flesh immediately wants to sync up with that belief because it feels easier… I’m so blessed and fortunate that when I was confused and sucked into the new age universal spirituality/ occult satanic lifestyle, that god allowed spirits to manifest so I could see that there truly was and IS power in NAME OF JESUS!!! ❤ not to mention the many many other revelations and encounters I’ve had that have synced up to so many other peoples SAME experiences, which confirmed to me that Jesus Christ is truly our truth and security! So yeah… I’ve def been under attack a lot lately and have struggled with backsliding and also by having toxic opinions about the Bible thrown at me…I allow my flesh to make excuses for an out sometimes 😢 but when I feel discouraged I always try to look deeper and go back to my supernatural encounters.Thinking deeply about what he has revealed to me about the spiritual realm keeps me grounded in the truth! And you realize the Bible is our guidebook once your spiritual eyes are open!I just don’t think people look deep enough…. And I can easily see how it gets taken outta context to benefit the flesh! That’s what the devil wants! But God really wants us to seek him with our whole heart to find him you know? He really takes the smallest bit of faith and can completely blow your mind if you are open! I pray for my friends to have revelation and encounters with Christ but he does give us the free will and true love can’t be forced. I am so so thankful Jesus is showing me the TRUTH! We just have to be patient which has been the hardest thing for me! It’s a miracle I’m even here typing this honestly. I believe he’s delivering me from that doomy nihilistic hopeless mindset. The more I get to know his personality I realize he likes to communicate in various ways! And the more open and obedient we are It seems to give him more to work with. And before you know it you’ll be getting glimpses, dreams, and revelation like crazy! But only on his time. It’s important to study the word so you can discern every spiritual experience you encounter. Obedience really gives him so much to work with and before you know it you are getting answers you never thought you would know! ❤❤❤ I just wanted to vent some encouragement and let you know you aren’t alone!!!!! i too had a burning bush all-at-once spiritual awakening that not cured my addictions but relieved me from the bondage. my type rarely rarely survive. each and every single person i hung around partying is dead. video resonated because i believe not many addicts are fortunate enough to have that burning bush moment. theirs is of the educational variety where it can take years to see the Light; even if they are sober. sneaking up on a decade sober, by the grace of a god i was once afraid to believe in. you may have gained a follower but not yet. i gotta hear more from you by poking around older content.

Did you recover everything you previously had it? I backslide years ago and I'm trying to get back to the way i was ,but i just feel desperate, depressed and keep having nightmares at night. I really want the Lord back in my life again, but most of the times i think I'm too far gone 😢

37 years a fervant believer, now a forever unbeliever. After all these years I've looked back and realized nothing good has happened. Nothing that says the creator of the Universe had my back and directed my path.

I was born again at 19 and fell away into unbelief and eventually into new age deceptions. I was wondering if you feel like you began being disgusted with your ex-husband and wanting to get a divorce because he took Jesus from you by slowly chipping away at your faith? I mean, you trusted him and he was supposed to protect you and keep you safe and he definitely betrayed you for his own selfish purposes. Ok, yes it was your fault too for choosing to let your guard down, but you know what I mean. I feel like it was a betrayal. But that's just my point of view and I was wondering if you came to the same conclusion? (ugh I had to edit this just to say I am not coming from a place of judgement of either of you!
