Get Tickets to SIX: www.broadway.com/shows/six/ Abby Mueller hands over the vlog camera to her SIX co-stars in this week's episode where you get to see their hair and make-up routines that help them become queens.
I guess you're no one? Because you're literally talking about it. These type of comments are, for lack of a better word, dumb. No hate, but seriously. Why can't people just talk about something without saying others supposedly aren't? It's nearly as bad as saying, "Am I the only one?"
I’m sorry if I sound racist or discriminatory because I’m not trying to be, but are white women allowed to get sister-locks? I ask because I’m genuinely interested in that style and while I know I’m technically “allowed” to get them, I don’t know if that’s going to offend anyone in the Black community and I don’t want that to be my aim at all. And if not, then that’s OK; at least I’m being educated about these things. 😅
@@NaviNeku24 you'll probably get different answers from many people. But for many the answer is no. First off locs are deeply connected to black/African culture and it would be rather rude to do so. Also white people's hair is very different than black. Doing locs or braided weave could damage your real hair. Overall, I suggest to not to.
@@NaviNeku24 I have sisterlocks and also completed the sisterlocks consultant course, so I could probably answer your question 🙂 The answer is "yes...but would you really want to?" Yes, of course you can get them - no one's gonna refuse you if that's what you really want. That said, depending on how long your hair is, that's well over 24 and *hundreds* of dollars (likely closer to $1k tbh), for a hairstyle that will likely fall out as soon as you wash it. If you don't mind spending a week at 5+ hours each day straight, for any and all work to *likely* be completely undone as soon as you wash it...then go for it. As long as you and your consultant have a clear understanding of what the process and expectations are, I see no issue with it.
"Because I use... A lot of eyeshadow" Seriously I think the amount of eyeshadow for K Howard and whoever the teal alt is is absolutely ridiculous, like wow xD
Also, I don't think its *that* much. Like girls who wear makeup everyday typically use that much I would say. Plus, like the comment above says, wearing a lot of makeup is pretty common for theater so you can be seen a little better/dont get drowned out by stage lights.
Can we all agree when Brittany Mack says she’s the “Queen of the Castle” we all know it. All of you Queens are amazing. Best of luck and can’t wait for you guys to officially open this month!
Loved Brittneys section about her beautiful hair 💖💖💖💗💗💗 as a young woman with natural hair that loves broadway this IS groundbreaking! I don’t think I’ve ever seen hair like hers onstage before!! Absolutely living for it 👩🏽🦱💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️👸🏽👸🏽👸🏽
I feel personally attacked by how flawless Samantha is without makeup. Share those skincare secrets so that this old hag can steal your youth, girl! Also, as an FYI, I’m going to refer to this episode as “Sixphora” (Six at Sephora) because I’m just that lame. In all seriousness though, I’ve been a huge Tudor nerd for a very, very long time. My wife is actually directly descended from Sir John Cheke, who educated Edward I and Elizabeth I at Henry and Anne Boleyn’s behest, and later on down the road had some major run-ins with Thomas Seymour. After 15 years together, that’s still the best thing about her to me. 😉 I’m just so, so thrilled that these incredible women’s even more incredible stories are being told beyond the borders of in-depth geekdom like my own, academia, or curious people who turn in to watch historian Lucy Worsley dress up in period clothing for the 6545th time (she makes brilliant documentaries, one of which apparently inspired the show’s creators, and believes in full immersion when presenting and nothing less.) To both educate and entertain, and using such a talented, truly groundbreaking cast and crew to do it, is just absolute perfection. Brava, many thanks and much love.
i was so used to the british cleeves who is a lot more serious, but i love the energy of britt!! Also, the discussion about the hair and the role it plays was really interesting :))))
I watched this video, I think probably when it came out three years ago and I clicked on it by mistake and then I was gonna skip through it but these women are so kind and nice to walk us through their process, I couldn't help but sit and watch it all. Especially Brittney! I forgot how cool it was to hear about her different hair process and that she can even name the woman that came up with the specific style is awesome!
I love Brittany's talk about her hair! It's so cool to hear her talk about how she decided to get it, and SO important for black hair to be out and proud during the show
I loved Britney Mack's interview!!! She has such an amazing personality and she even taught me a thing or two about her hair. 8:30 OMG SHES AMAZING HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH, QUEEN
Questions since they got deleted in the last video: What’s ur fav costume that isn’t yours? What’s your fav song that isn’t yours? How does it feel to be on broadway? Who is your fav queen? What’s ur fav part or line in the show? Who is the funniest? Who were the people who inspired the queens? WHY CANT WE FILM MEGASIXES?
i read this as you got a bud light, then you got an ad, and once the video started it said "when all you wanna do is this" and i was like where did you start the video omg 💀
Lol, Abby wasn't even there, but credits still said 'Created and shoot by Abby...' That's funny😝 On the serious note: Britt's part is so beautiful and important! Broadway needs this: different hair, different skin colour, different heritage. 'Cause we all are here and we all beautiful. P.S. Jamie is so professional. Six got all of the best, didn't they?
That fact that Britt does her own hair, and it looks so fucking good. Like damn, talk about amazing. I have easy breezy white girl hair and can barely get it into a decent ponytail most days.
I like how you see those QUEENS on stage and think: wow they look amazingggg! They must be really talented in makeup and stuff, And then it's like: Ok I use this because it's cheap
