I think it because people act like the reason the group broke up was because Dawn got a solo deal, which wasn't the truth, she didn't get the solo deal until almost a year later, and it doesn't even go into affect until like next year
This chick is so super humble. If she's playing a role, she needs an oscar because she's JUST LIKE THIS, NOW in 2012. So what that she was smart enough to get the rights to the name... THE NAME EXISTED BEFORE THE GROUP! It was a super-hero character that she'd created prior to all of this. People who try to discount her and disrespect her obviously don't know her story and her heart. I don't know her personally, but she's very honest in interviews and everywhere else.
She looks beautiful and shes real I LOVE DAWN on the finale dawn was the only member who was actually keeping it REAL completely real while the other girls were running from the questions!!!

What's done in the dark eventually comes to light. Danity Kane were really good at concealing their problems in public. But the dynamic on stage during the finale proved to me what the situation was like. Dawn was to herself and wouldn't talk to anyone but the boys, Shannon and Drea were content with the situation and each other, DWoods and Aubrey were kind of like bullies. A few of my friends who've NEVER watched the show watched the finale with me and had the same observation.
I love and support Dawn, no matter what has been said about her and the 'Making The Band' finale....her positivity shines and she acknowledges the negative comments of what has been said about her...But she's going to continue regardless of all the stones that people try to throw at her....LUV 2 LUV YA DAWN!!!!
The reason why Dawn is the only one left on BBE is because Diddy stated in the last episode of MTB that he still wanted to work with her. I honestly believe that Diddy did not intend for the group to break-up, he just wanted to get rid of Aubrey. There still would have been a 4-member DK after Aubrey got fired if Wanita didn't quit. When she quit, Shannon decided she wasn't going to do it if it wasn't all 5. When everybody lawyered up to get out of their contracts, Diddy fired Aundrea.
I just love her positive out-look and attitude. And she's right Brandy is the truth. But I can honestly see dawn being up there one day. She has a great voice and kinda reminds you of brandy. She writes and produces and that's where the moneys at. She could do those things for many many years to come. Best of luck to dawn and dirty money. Diddy saw talent in Dawn which is why he asked her to work on his album. The other group members were doing their side projects. It's unfair for them to get upset with Dawn because she earned that right to work with Diddy. And if Aubrey wanted to know if Bad Boy was taking Dawn solo she could have asked her or talked to Harv Pierre about it. Instead she called herself smart mouthing Diddy like she ran Bad Boy. I'm glad she got the boot because honestly she's changed for the worst.
I agree Dawn was heated. That wound is still wide open for all 5 of them. That is y Drea wasn't even coming out there. Aubrey was my favorite but I thought she was wrong to miss shows when they were only on their 2nd album. However, all the girls have said that they weren't making any money. If broadway comes knocking and they're giving a paycheck it's hard to refuse. I feel that Dawn and Aubrey are the realest of the group and if the others had spoken up maybe it could've been resolved.
The relationship between the other girls and Aubrey changed because Aubrey drastically changed for the worst. She even dragged D Woods along with her. I don't think one person is responsible for the break-up, they're all to blame on some level because they all contributed. At first I thought they all were equally to blame until I watched that finale. For the first time the dynamic of Danity Kane was revealed. It's no wonder Aundrea didn't show up, she just couldn't deal with that mess.
Dawn wasn't phased by Aubrey doing Hairspray. She only brought it up when Aubrey started to question Diddy about her going solo. You see that's the problem with Aubrey and her fans, they can't admit she was wrong for trying to call somebody else out when she was promoting her own solo stuff. As Dawn stated, "We all had our own agendas". And if I'm left with the decision to do a show and get PAID or go to a Broadway show, I'm going to do the show for the fans. Sorry.

To be honest the Ebony and Ivory alliance was the central piece of the division in the group. Poor Aundrea wanted out of the group because of it. And if the way those two acted on the finale was any indication of what Dawn, Aundrea, and Shannon had to deal with behind closed doors then it's no suprise DK broke up.
Yea i agree, I remember hearing lights out on welcome to the dollhouse and I said she sounded like brandy on that track. I played it back a couple times bc I was in disbelief, it was amazing lol

Aubrey did that raunchy spread in Complex magazine while she WAS still a member of Danity Kane. Dawn and Que did the Lip Service interview in March 2009 long after DK was over. Dawn also posed for KING and VIBE magazines but she did both AFTER DK was over. She said herself that the group was over and she had to start doing things for herself and making money to pay her bills. So Dawn is not a hypocrite. She has held true to her word.
I just read on Diddy's Twitter that he is meeting with Hype Williams today about video for Last Train to Paris. Hype Williams is one of the best music video directors out there. I'm not sure but he may have done some movies as well. As i've stated before, Diddy pours tons of money into his own projects. Mark my words, Last Train to Paris is going to be a huge success.

I stated that the finale revealed the "dynamic" of Danity Kane. Not the media fabricated image they kept up for the fans. As previously stated, I'm not blaming the break-up solely on any one member. But after watching that finale I understood why the group broke up. I explained why I thought the Dwoods/Aubrey friendship was a greater influence. It's not surprising an Aubrey fan doesn't agree with that but even people who've never heard of DK agreed with me.

I don't think she's perfect and I understand where you're coming from. I think anybody who's being blamed solely for breaking up a group(which Dawn was) is going to feel some type of way about that and respond. Dawn stated that despite her issues with anyone she felt they didn't have to like each other to perform together. I think she was willing to just co-exist together as a group without being going friends with everyone in the group.
I believe the division first started with Aubrey and Aundrea. During MTB3, they had such a wonderful relationship but Aubrey was so different back then. That's when everyone(even I) liked her. I've always believed that being the most popular in the group Aubrey has most of the control in the media and amongst fans. Her alliance with DWoods really caused division. Dawn gravitated towards the boys, Shannon remained neutral, and Aundrea was left alone and at some point she wanted out.
Dawn has NEVER said she wouldn't pose nude for a magazine. She said when she was a member of DK she ALWAYS did what was in the best interest of DK and when DK was over she had to look out for herself. If you READ and LISTEN to her interviews, you would know that she didn't pose nude for King or Vibe.... she had on a bikini top and bottom to give the illusion of her being nude. You people make up reasons in your head to hate Dawn because there aren't any legitimate reasons to dislike her.
Agreed, it was a communication thing with all of them. That's why I don't blame one member for the break-up. I felt that Aubrey had the most influence but she alone didn't break-up DK. She was a huge part but their are others to blame also.
If I recall, during MTB 4 Season 1 Diddy stated that he built the group around Aubrey's image. That's why he pegged her the leader of the group and told her that what she does has more impact on DK's image. If you can't see the drastic change from MTB3 Aubrey to her new transformation image and personality wise I don't know what else to say . Even some of her more staunch supporters have commented on the drastic change in Aubrey. I liked the old Aubrey, the new one is another Paris Hilton.
Dwoods and Aubrey were missing from the show already. How do you expect Dawn or Drea to miss the show to see Aubrey perform. Their would be no show at all if that was the case considering Dawn and Drea were the sound of DK. Yep, I said it.
diddy is triflin, but smart he knew wut he wuz doin as soon as he saw the group wuz havin issues, he took the whole thing and ran w/ it and made 2 seasons out if, day26 cudn't even focus on them, bcuz of DK issues on the 3rd season. with all due respect to the ladies, mtb4 wuz not supposed to be their season, it wuz supposed to be about day26. newayz wish them the best in thier future endeavors, can't wait for dawns album as she wuz my fav in the group along with 'drea.
After she heard Brandy's album FULL MOON, she could have checked out her earlier material you know. Full moon came out in 2002, and this interview was like 2008/2009.........just saying.
I mean the girl is from new orleans, so i dont see why she just "Had" to listen to her earlier material, im sure dawn is familiar with brandys material...i think that sonically she favors full moon!!!
REAL TALK!!! Why haters keep posting negative comments about Dawn? They "claim" they hate her, but they keeping up with EVERYTHING she do. They watching her videos on RU-vid, they following her on Twitter. If you don't like her, why follow her? It's not my opinion as a Dawn supporter. Diddy stated that he built the group around Aubrey. She was the most popular with and had influence in regards to the media and fans. I would venture to say that you need to watch MTB3 and see how Aubrey changed. She was a lovable, outgoing, and outspoken personality without all the plastic surgery. It's quite sad she's become a shadow of herself. I don't blame anyone solely for the breakup but the new Aubrey was a big influence on what transpired.
