I love the colours and the dust on this often overlooked target. Well done James! It’s really satisfying to reveal hidden features and colours by carefully brightening up the edges like you did. I prefer the sideways orientation best - it’s nice to mix things up a bit from standard convention. You’ve inspired me to go back to my Orion Nebula image and heavily crop the Running Man to see what results I can achieve.

Wow! I've used my 8" for lunar/planets but you skilfully show how these dusty targets can be uncovered. A whole other use for SCTs. Thanks for your inspiration.

You're welcome! :) I have found mine to be an excellent scope for imaging DSOs.

Really nice image James. Nice to see the Running Man nebula get it’s own starring role and not end up as a tag along for M42. Another great easy to follow workflow video. I actually like the “sideways” orientation too as it also highlights the nice billowing dust clouds surrounding the blue/red areas.

Looks unreal, another very impressive image from the edge. Like the final orientation but rotated 180 degrees the best.. probably because it mimics a terrestrial image, with black at the top. Thanks for the tips. 👍

I have to agree with you James, my favorite part is that dust region, looks super awesome! Also, the last orientation looks the best due to the dust in my opinion

Really nice paying some attention to the Running Man. Looks really great, I've not used the Mosaic tool in Pixinsight just the APP one so far. Some lovely colors in this object super job.

now that I look at it closely for a while, i'm not sure what the arms and legs are. I can see a few different ways of orienting the "running man"!

Yea.. its a little bit of a stretch. I see Gumby more than a running man. :)
