Backyard Chicken Breed Review: Sicilian Buttercup Hens 

Wow that is a pretty breed. I've never seen a comb like that. Very cool.

We just discovered one of these in our flock! We thought our Penelope was a Golden Campine but once her comb started to develop like a crown, we figured out she's a Sicilian Buttecup. Thanks for this video!

You need Buckeye chickens: they were bred specifically to handle hot summers and cold wet winters

Try feeding them pasta and beans like pinto beans or chick peas they will fill up more and they will lay better. I am Sicilian and these birds are true mafia birds . I grew up with them beautiful birds. X

I have a rooster that is a rescue. He has the comb typical to the Sicilian Buttercup but he is totally black with green highlights. Is it possible that I have a hybrid?
