This was such a joy to watch! It's incredible to witness the transformation of a backyard feature over such a significant period. The video is not just about a pond; it's a testament to the rewards of patience, love, and commitment to nature.
Pond looks awesome! I think the spot for the pond is perfect looks natural. Maybe hide the plant containers but besides I like it. Maybe build a cave inside pond with rocks for fish to hide from predators. The company that I work for here in Southern California we sell both Aquascape and Atlantic Oase pond products.
Beautiful pond thank you for an awesome tutorial and being very explanatory answering all the questions and the details from the pricing to types of materials you used. I have a question do you ever see or have to worry about snakes getting in it and living and if so what do you do to deter them and keep them out? Thank you .
Common goldfish, which are the ones you want to put in ponds, not fancy goldfish which aren't as hardy, get to be 18 inches. They are big fish. At least two of the fish I saw in there are commons, so those are going to get massive.
The tall grasses and the Lilly pads are potted plants at the bottom of the pond. They die off and come back every spring! The water hyacinths and anything else towards the top of the water needs to be brought inside the house for the winter
