It was terrific to have you out again, Charles! On a side note, I didn't realize how much that Hass avocado has grown till I saw the throwback vid you included from 2019. With love and IV Organic protection, that Hass has boomed! Looking forward to releasing our vids on plant cloning and plant grafting soon

I planted two hachiya persimmons from HD that looked like bareroot thrown into a 5gal bucket with soil and both have growth no higher than ankle height from the ground. Will they still grow into trees with a trunk or will they just be bushes?

Any take on if I can still use your old super blend or do I need to buy the new super blend with mazomite to fertilizer my fruit trees?
@IVOrganic
@IVOrganic 3 года назад
Good morning Mo J! ☀️. The ‘old’ Super Blend Fertilizer by IV Organic still has the same N-P-K from year to year. It’s only the beneficial bacteria & mycorrhizae populations that decline from year to year. So, yes, use the IV Organic fertilizers you have on hand! Happy Gardening!! Charles 🌱👍

@@IVOrganic I wasn’t sure I could use it since the old blend had high NPK and the new one does not.
@IVOrganic
@IVOrganic 3 года назад
@@moj8945 The NPK % has changed over the years as the ingredients have been modified to gain all the fertilizer certifications I’ll be discussing in our next publication (tomorrow or Saturday)- stay tuned! :-)

My jujube produces yearly windfall crops but has endless suckers which are tough to remove. Any suggestions?
@IVOrganic
@IVOrganic 3 года назад
Happy to hear about your jujube growing success!! Regarding the suckers, the key is to remove them as close as possible to the rootball/ trunk. Also, early spring is typically the primary time for sucker growth as cytokinins from the roots come rushing up the trunk pushing growth out starting at growing level, working its way up the tree height. Also, some varieties of jujubes (like apples varieties) have differing tendencies to create sucker growth. Charles 🌱👍

@@IVOrganic thanks for the thorough explanation. It's May and the roots of my Li jujube are up to 6 feet from the trunk!

What would you do about rodents, specifically squirrels that strip your trees of all fruit? No I don't have a small dog to guard my yard either.
