Your back porch is just beautiful, Cindy! You and your husband’s personality really shines in this space!

By the way, this video is great! That trellis that Emma gave you is such a great idea for the honeysuckle vine. I also noticed the trick you did with some of your planters: you placed a smaller planter inside of a large planter! Awesome idea! You and Steve really did a nice refresh on this back porch space! I love it! Your back porch needs to be showcased in a magazine!❤️

That's such a sweet thing to say about Patti! It would be so cool to be in a magazine! As for the planters with an extra planter inside - I've been seeing others do this to save on dirt as well as weight! It works great!🥰

@@ReinventedDelaware I’m going to try the same thing with the planters-such a great idea.❤️

Best thing I have used for cleaning concrete, wood, stone , fabrics , siding, is Wet & Forget. It comes concentrated snd you put it in a pump sprayer . Wet the surface, no scrubbing or rinsing needed. I even used it on our slate on our porch roof. The wind, sun and rain will clean it for you.

I love to clean! Especially in the spring. You could always paint your patio or even stencil it. You have a beautiful home and a husband that is very helpful.

Beautiful!!! Splitting those plants isn't easy. I split some last year , different type of plants, and laughed because I did it the same way with water hose and cutting apart. I thought this isn’t probably how to do it, but now I know it was , at least it works!
@ReinventedDelaware
@ReinventedDelaware 9 дней назад
Thanks Gerry! I like splitting them this way but I should have grabbed a tool with a sharp edge for this purpose. I'm going to order a gardening cutting tool BTW, I'm being careful with my words so RU-vid doesn't scold me!🤣

Absolutely gorgeous! The house I lived in prior to my present house we had a pergola put in and I put wisteria on either side of it, which turned out gorgeous! Everything turned out beautifully, I would love to start my day having a morning coffee there, or sit and have an ice tea and watch the world go away there at night!

Wisteria?? That sounds amazing! I would love to have those on this pergola! Maybe I could try it next year in the pot I have the large hydrangea in now. The hydrangea needs to be in the ground anyway!

Cindy, I think it’s called a plant caddy. Years and years ago, my wonderful son gave me two alike for Mother’s Day. I have taken good care of them and I even bring them in in winter and use them for my big ole rubber tree and my huge ponytail palm to move them for cleaning. I love them. I don’t have your ability and I couldn’t have made them. You and hubby do some marvelous projects for your home and I love watching you. I believe your husband can fix anything, can’t he? I saw that piece he built in that shop in one of your videos and loved it. You all have a wonderful home and it’s fun to see all the things you make and improvements you do. Always enjoy your videos and been watching for a long time. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for all of your kind words! They brighten my day 🥰 Thanks also for the term 'plant caddy' I'm the worst at bringing words to my mind! You are so right about my hubby's ability to fix anything! I come up with the idea and he always makes it happen. It makes for a great team effort! Thanks for watching our videos and being so supportive and encouraging. It really means so much to me! 🥰

Absolutely wonderful, Cindy! You've created such a cozy, inviting space, I would be spending a lot of time there! Your fireplace is amazing, and I love your white chairs! Their low profile is really unique! Can I ask where you got them? I also loved your vintage watering can display! So many things to comment on....I could go on and on!
@ReinventedDelaware
@ReinventedDelaware 9 дней назад
Thank you so much Lori! You are always so encouraging!! We love this space and use it alot from spring to fall. The fireplace is especially nice on a chilly night during the fall with a hot bowl of chili! As for the chairs, they are super old, like 50 years old! They were given to me when the lady that I took care of for 20 years passed away at 93. She had them for at least thirty years. The best things about them, other than the cool low profile, is the aluminum frame. They have never ever rusted! Hopefully I can re-weave them because they are becoming tattered. Thanks again Lori!🥰

Oh Cindy your back yard patio is so charming. With all your pretty plants n that big beautiful fireplace. I must say I have a little envy there. It’s been so stinken hot here in Florida that I have no energy to do much of anything. I would love to fix up my deck n I mean that literally. Have a lot of boards that need to be replaced n that takes $$$ that I just don’t have right now. Especially after having to get a hold new unit air conditioner which was $9,000.00 bucks. I’m really curious about your honeysuckle plant. I have several planted in the ground but they just don’t look too great. I’m wondering if I’d take one of them n put it in a pot n see if it would do better. They do bloom but they seem to die back some. Did Steve build that beautiful fireplace? It sure is nice looking n I bet you really enjoy it in the fall on cooler nights. You mentioned that you built your home. Well, must give where a compliment is due. I love it n how you designed it. Better go it’s getting dark. I’m outside by my garden n the mosquitoes are biting too. Loved the video. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🐾🐾 Ohpp

Thanks Shelly! We really enjoy the back patio. Steve built the fireplace several years ago and we have used it so many times! As for the honeysuckle, this is my first experience with a purchased honeysuckle. I'm hoping it does well because it cost $42! We have them growing wild in our woods but they are surrounded by poisen ivy. Otherwise, I would dig them up and put them in my yard! Thanks for spending time with me Shelly! Hope you have a great day 🥰

for rust - try a product called ' Whink Rust Stain Remover' ... comes in a brown squeeze type bottle found at hardware stores. Probably ranks up there w/ bleach - ha - but it works! Need to let it sit a bit and honestly I've never used on concrete. Hint - the word 'Whink' is smaller than the other words on the bottle for some reason.

I will look for that the next time we are at the hardware store! The rust stains drive me crazy!😝

Thanks! Those are salvia. They are perennials and I have cut them back once this season. The blooms you see are there second flush of blooms so they are a bit shorter. The first flush of flowers are taller. They are pretty common and you could find some at your local garden shop!

Nice video but watching someone pressure wash is like watching paint dry..bleach may not have been a good choice as it can leach into the concrete and cause damage if not sealed. Sealing the concrete would make any discoloration easier to remove. Using bleach will also cause damage to plants and lawn when rinsing it off
