These bacon bombs look awesomely delicious Gonna give it a try this weekend. Seriously thinking about placing a small cube of cheese in with the peppers, onions and mushrooms.
OMG these look amazing. I make bacon recipes all the time and have made larger versions of this but never thought of a smaller ball shape. I will have to give this a try soon. :) Great video! :)
Thanks man! Yeah these were really tasty for sure.. personal sized (size of baseball). The only problem with this recipe is that I wish I made more! I only had two for leftovers... haha..
for sure.. just set up your gas grill indirect with a tray to catch the grease. then you can use a smoker box to smoke them if you wish. AND.. Cheese and onions would be great! maybe even a spicy cheese of some sort.
Was going to make bacon explosion log style today but I’m going to make these bombs instead, great idea, this way everybody can select their ingredients, can’t wait to try. I like your BBQ , could you share what kind if is couldn’t see a name.
Postal Barbecue just discovering bacon now in my life not swine though chicken, turkey, and beef. Would like to see a how to make beef chicken or turkey bacon. Just an idea
I filled with a mix of chopped onion, cheddar cheese and added a few chopped pickles to a few. SO DELICIOUS...and the smokey flavor, such a great addition to a backyard bbq.
Hey glad you like this cook! Let me know how it turns out for you when you make it or tag me in an instagram photo! Anything else you might like to see cooked?
Jeremy Postal you can do this on a propane grill. You simply follow the same steps except on your propane grill only put one side of your grill on while cooking on the other so that you can cook it a bit longer/slower without burning. Fill it with whatever you wish, veggies, cheese, other meat etc it will taste good. Hope that helps.
great question! Yes you could do them in the oven for sure. I would follow all the sets as in the video but just adapt it for the oven. Make sure to place a drip pan under them or else your oven will get really messy with the bacon fat the will drip off. You will loose out on the smoke flavours, but it will be better than not making it and eating it at all. Does that help? Let me know how they turn out for you.
You are going to love them. The kettle is good, it isn't as air tight as a weber but overall I don't see myself looking for anything new anytime soon. I think the new version is a bit more airtight which means you can control the coals a bit easier but you learn how to use your grill then it is perfect right? All grill have their own qwerks. What are you cooking on now?
on a kamado style grill now, i also have an offset smoker. was looking for another charcoal grill but also was looking at the kamander from char-broil so trying to figure out which to go with.
hey you replied to me! too lazy to reply on that one lol but today imma try these out! think you can do something with seafood? if not that's cool as I am a grilling n00b :P
Of course I replied to you, you are the famous thetrueguitargod1!!!! Ha.. We are planning on some types of seafood this summer as we live like 5 minutes from the ocean. Likely some Oysters/muscles coming soon. yum!
Postal Barbecue lol well played man! just wanted to let you know the bacon bombs came out and were THE BOMB!! Ive been cooking awhile but only grilled once before (BBQ chicken legs) so was glad this turned out great!! Kudos will definitely try some more of your delicious recipes!
if you stuff with cheese it would have to be something that doesn't run like feta, parm or cream. otherwise it will end up in your catch pan.....just sayin. try a jalapeno mmmmmm bombs away :-)
you just need to close it tight. mozza goes real nice in this and uzzes out deliciousness. we use Monterey jack i believe in this one and it was still awesome.
