Mihoyo accidentally revealed the full lineup for the 5.0 first phase. So in this video I'll go over the good and bad news if you're planning to pull in this phase, plus some things to consider before pulling for 5-star characters.
First things first, miHoYo just revealed the official banner lineup for the entire first phase of version 5.0. Usually, we never get the full lineup after the 5-star characters are officially confirmed, but this time we can see the full lineup in the special program.
Here it is: the developers showed the lineup while discussing the improved banner system called "CAPTURING RADIANCE."
In the Mualani and Kazuha banners, we will get Bennett, Kachina, and Xinyan. Once again, these characters are most likely the ones that will appear in 5.0, but there’s also a chance that Bennett and Xinyan were put there as placeholders.
One character that is confirmed to be in the first phase is Kachina. She will also be given for free from the Natlan Archon quest. She seems to be very useful in exploration, so it’s nice to have her.
As for Bennett and Xinyan, I think everyone has already heard that Bennett should be given for free from some kind of world quest in Natlan. However, if this banner lineup turns out to be real, the chances of Bennett being given for free will drastically decrease. Bennett is a great character, but he already appeared three times in Fontaine and was also given for free in 4.0, so I don’t really understand why they put him here.
Since Genshin is giving out so many free rewards, I think there will be a lot of new and returning players, so having Bennett in the banner is great. However, if you’re a regular Genshin player, I can't say the same thing.
Lastly, about Xinyan..well.. her last banner was in 4.4, and there is definitely other characters who should have gotten their rerun. Like, where is Heizou? His last banner was in 3.7, and considering that Kazuha will also rerun, Heizou would’ve fit perfectly here. I’m not even talking about Charlotte and Chevruse, who never got their rerun.
Usually, developers put one 4-star character with the same element as the limited 5-star character, but that’s not the case this time.
Anyway, we even have 4-star weapons, so let’s quickly take a look at them.
Here we have The Stringless-a very good weapon for someone like Fischl or Yelan. Considering that Yelan is in the current banner, you should definitely consider pulling for it. Another weapon is the Favonius Sword, which is very good for someone like Bennett. And lastly, there’s the Dragon’s Bane, which is a good F2P option for Hu Tao.
Overall, if you regularly play Genshin, the 4-star characters are not that great, except for Kachina. However, if you are pulling for Mualani you should not be discourgae since Mualani will be the best DPS from NAtlan.
As for Kazuha, this is important to note. We will have Xilonen in 5.1, who is going to be something like a Geo Kazuha and will work with any element, even though she is Geo. So miHoYo might want you to pull for Kazuha right before Xilonen’s release, so keep that in mind.
Overall, the banners is not that bad, and considering that the banner system has been slightly improved, you should definitely pull in the upcoming banners.
