The problem is... Morality is subjective. Idk if that's a problem or a selling point. A murderer that think what he did was right would be powerful as hell.
@@MoridaFanadier Pretty sure that’s a major part of the selling point of the final battle. The protagonist thinks they’re the good guy but might just really be a douche while the villain actually has solid moral standing while also thinking they’re the good guy.

The Idea of a mc that started as a hero but he gets more corrupted by evil that he becomes a villain and the spotlight switches to one of his old rivals that was evil but now he redeemed himself and now wants to save the little bit of humanity the last mc has sounds pretty good
"It's over hero! I have the high ground!" 'But your not higher than me" "I am" "No, you're not physically higher than me" "I am higher than in one way" "What?" _"MORALLY"_
When the hero is killed their powers and protagonist status are transferred to the one that killed them and when this happens the title of the series changes to match
This sounds amazing like one of those super good animes that only ever get like 8-10 episodes and are usually between or filler for bigger ones but end up being what people wanna see more
If you made the final villain like the same guy as the hero’s first villain or something then this could really work because it could show how the villain had the capacity to change and did and now he’s the one who’s truly in the right, then this could be genuinely awesome. Also you would have to give the side characters actually have development and have them point out when the main character starts turning evil, that way you could have them reflect on everything in a really satisfying way at the end after the main character dies.
This anime should be called "Resolve" at this point Their moral resolve is the power fantasy sub plot and defines whether the hero really is a hero, I love the idea
@@Apollo-684 nah death note is to quick of a good to evil transition like this dude described it as that the mc gets Eviler and Eviler as the show continues until the end where he is objectively the villain... And then we have death note where he turns good to evil in the first episode
I have wrote a small story from the story idea I had for a comic or anime for a school work, I showed it to my friends and some people and they say that it was pretty good to be a small 100 words story. Lol I hope One day I can write for a company to create and animation about it. 🙃

Even better: The hero slowly turns into a villain as the might of their own perceived moral superiority crushes them. A cautionary tale saying to always be humble and remember your values over hoarding your money power.
Orrrrr that villain then becomes the mc, and it continues swapping protags with better and better morals and maybe even go to the side characters from the other protags stories
This could actually be great, very emotionally charged, and the ending would be epic, the hero now seeing himself becoming a villain, and the villain himself learning he was actually the hero, i see the last fight being at the end of it a conversation, "you're not supposed to win I'm the hero, the hero always wins", "who says you're the hero here?"
As someone who likes to write and draw anime stuff. I will make this a manga. This actually sounds like a really cool idea, and quite a good lesson can be taught through the anime itself
Tbh I think it would work really well with the hero realizing how much of himself he lost as time went on. As time went on and the more cocky he got the less of a hero he became, but he still felt he was in the right. Maybe it could even be a reverse redemption story
I like this idea, imagine a story where instead of the protagonist getting stronger and stronger and the enemies getting slighly easier to beat everytime, imagine the opposite, where the protagonist starts really OP but then battles start to get harder and harder and he thinks that enemies are becoming more powerful than him, but actually the enemies all basically have the same amount of power, and the protagonist is actually the one getting weaker without realising, like in the beginning of the show the protagonist could destroy entire planets if he wanted to, but by the end he could barely destroy cities with the same power he used in the beginning, he would be oblivious to this fact but the audience would notice because of the aftermaths of the battles, like "Oh, is this crater smaller than the first one?" And stuff similar to that.
It's a cool as hell idea, I dunno how you'd execute it nicely, but I also feel it would lead to some commentary on the unique thoughts being punished for good or bad. Or just ignore that and imply some type of moral absolute.
I’d honestly watch this, i do kinda want it to be kinda like 2 main characters so you see like the “hero” turn into the villain and the slightly mean person into the hero.
Even better, over the show the main character starts becoming the bad guy. As his motives are killing the most evil people, and saving humanity. (Sorta like thanos). Then the last enemy is kinda like the main character at the beginning!
So basically if the villain just decides to be evil for no reason at all but will absolutely not stop doing it at any cost… he lost. Oh wait, that’s called being a psychopath
big twist, it was the best way to save everyone. so even though the side characters are sad that the main character died, they still live on in the world and have a happy ending
Didn't even have anything bad about it this time. Thr exploration of the moral high ground and your power coming from it is one of the most interesting concepts I've heard.
This kinda reminds me of a manga my friend tried to get me into. In that setting everyone has a specific way to gain more power like one gets stronger the more danger he's in or another gets stronger the longer she holds her breath (these are completely hypothetical not actually in the story) The main character seems pretty weak but as the arc went on he kept getting stronger but he's friends kept dying and it written pretty tear worthy. This keeps going until it's him and his love interest who is the strongest of them but they're up against this UNSTOPPABLE juggernaut. She starts giving the usual "we'll beat him together" speech then he stabs her and reveals he gets stronger from how tragic the situation is and then the story switches to him being the main antagonist. I never remembered it's name tho.
I like the idea of an anime where like after 4 villains get redeemed the main character meets an unredeemable villain, and has to come to terms that you can’t save everyone, sometimes people can’t be redeemed.
This sounds weirdly cool. Rather than just being weak cause their enemies are better people, the MC has to make the enemy fall to the MCs level of karma to defeat them.
I feel like this could also work into another way. As the villains get more grey and the hero gets weaker he gets more and more diplomatic and starts redeeming the villains as he can actually tell if they are lying about their "good" motives. The hero doesn't get cocky because he now knows after the first group of morally grey villains that the people he could fight still have morality and humanity and means they could change. And he might actually die for them to accomplish their goals. I can also imagine the magic system in this world is that everyone can learn the same spells but everyone has a special factor that changes it. Like the hero's fireball increases as the more evil the villain is, the villain's power increase as he gets more angrier. Something like that
I've thought of that too, not the hero thinks his power works differently and slowly becomes more cocky and dies in the end part but everything else, it's spot on i guess it's true that some minds think alike
Even better if the said villain who beats the hero is the same mustache twirling villain you see in the beginning. While the hero goes on his character destruction there would be side episodes of the villain as 'comic relief' but people soon realize the parellels happening and eventually a fully-realized villain now has a deeper story and redeemable personality and everyone is bound to cheer for them in the end.
