I've always been intrigued by how energetic and upbeat the song sounds despite its mostly dark and depressive lyrics. This orchestral version just makes that dichotomy even more stark. Ever have that one friend who always seems so happy and bubbly on the surface, but behind closed doors suffers from profound depression that they're not sure how to reveal? That's this song.
It doesn’t even have to be a friend of ours, it could also just be us who seem happy and cheery to others but are actually unhappy with our own self for not being able to showcase it☹️☹️
Reminds me of Sayaka from Madoka Magica. She has a similar upbeat kinda song that just transforms into pure madness. For anyone wanting to watch some good drama anime, don't let the cutesy style fool you. It'll be worth your while :D
It's the music to Stage 3 in Lotus Land Story, a Japanese Touhou bullet hell shooter game. Usually games like this have space ships and lasers with a top down or side view, but this game uses Anime girls instead. The song is associated with the boss of that stage. Despite being pretty much entirely midi sounds, the composer actually wrote the entire song, including lyrics, and it became super popular in Japan.
Thank you so much for having me again! This sounds absolutely stunning, and Arietta also did an amazing job! I'm so honored to be able to work with such talented people ♡
Yuri Tsukito oooh, I love your voice! It has this fierceness to it, as supposed to the Arietta's voice (which is softer). Both of you are amazing though :D
Excellent work. It sounds traditional without appearing too reliant on synthetic sounds. Very organic piece, and the callback to the original score for Bad Apple is fantastic for nostalgic reasons. Definitely deserves more views than it has :3 Good job
English version coming tomorrow! BTW: There were two vocalists! Yuri Tsukito and Arietta! A lot of people saying that there was just one. Links to their channels are in the description.
Sully Orchestration can you do me a favor and show this to a RU-vidr called hyuman he also does Japanese remixes of undertale and other things I bet he would Fangirl or fan boy
I'm not in the Touhou fandom, but this song brings back so many memories. This was beautifully done! I could feel excitement an exhilaration when listening to this!

That "TENOHAIKA BANZAI"(if my spelling is correct) really slaps the sh8t out of me thou......i always play this when im playing world of tanks/warships and war thunder using both japanese lines/tech tree
Even i liking more the version from Cloudjumper for being WAY more intense, i have to give you credit from something that i REALLY love on yours: the two moments when you put THAT part of the original music from Touhou 4 on the instrumental pause. This sounds SO FUCKING EPIC AND AWESOME..... Seriously, that fidelity to the original song is really something to be apreciated, because the melody from the game is so different from the covers that most of the people don't even know this parts from the ost. Seriously, i really love it.
2018 seems to be the year for awesome Bad Apple covers, between yours and RichaadEB's metal cover. One piece of constructive criticism on this would be that the vocalists could have used significantly more compression during the mixing stage -- the first vocalist in particular loses a *lot* of volume in her upper register. Not even *remotely* enough to keep you from earning a new subscriber, though.
Actually, the compression ratio was nearly maxed out. 40:1! No way I could have aritifially made her voice sound louder. It was just the way she sang those parts
This.... was absolutely beautiful.... This was hands down, the coolest version I’ve heard. Everything from the Japanese vocals to the Asian inspired orchestrals, it was all beautiful. Thank you, this was just... Wow... すごい!
Everything about this orchestral version is beautiful: The voice of Tsukito and Ariettea, the balanced use of instruments, (especially the masterful use of violins and drums), and originality in the score that shines through. So much awesome in one song! Keep these coming!
Thank you truly this was wonderful, you are a master of your craft and much congrats to the voice aswell she was lovely. You should have way way way more subs thanks again for your hard work
Oh my god, this is absolutely Epic and beautiful, they did an awesome job at the vocals!! you did an Awesome job with the remix!! I sang along with this, hahah XD Hope to hear more from yah, and can't wait to hear the English vers!
Man, THIS is just... wow. It's so amazing that if I were to highlight everything about just how good this sounds it would equate to a book around 50 pages long. Friggin amazing, very simply put.
