Crosshair didn't miss. The ship accelerated away faster than the tracker is able to travel through the air since it's a solid and bulky object. There is a troop transport sitting on the bottom of the ocean.
Crosshair didn't miss because of his shakey hand. It was a relatively short shot and he was in position but the stormtrooper patrol came along at the wrong time causing Crosshair to have to deal with them first which caused him to have to shoot while running back to his position. If you rewatch the scene you can see that the tracker was heading directly for the ship but fell away as the distance increased.
To be fair to Crosshair, he didn't miss. it would have been right on target but he got delayed by those TK troopers from when he wanted to make the shot.
Well, bingo card of Pabuu getting wrecked by the Empire. You called it. Also mark off the Marauder getting annihilated. I love that Wrecker's first thought when he realized the ship was going to blow was to grab Gonky and save him. On rewatch, I realized what you did, that we didn't see Hunter after he swam to shore and met up with Batcher on the beach... not far from the cave where Ventress and Clone-X assassin both his their ships. They're both aware of the cave, so maybe Hunter managed to sneak a tracker on the ship or even stowed away before Clone-X called the shop for pickup? Otherwise it's up to Emory to leak the Tantiss coordinates. I don't think Clone-X is Tech. I think if anyone, and maybe as tragic, is that it could be Cody.
Its gotta be Cody. They mentioned that this 1 is the only 1 thats ready at the moment which tells me he is one of the original Clone X troopers or at least an older 1 and Tech would be VERY recent. Also if it was Tech he would have already known where the base is, sure the Empire could have erased his memories but he would be far more valuable to them with his memories intact and his personality reprogrammed than without them
I kinda thought the Empire went full fascist oppression only after the Rebels made an impact but apparently they were always that evil, and just got worse. No wonder there was a steady supply of potential recruits. The people of Pabu will remember this atrocity.
The Empire was always this evil, it just takes the galaxy awhile before they realize it. There is a progression, but its not from less evil to more evil, its more about the Emperor slowly exerting control and putting into place all of the things that allow him to shape the galaxy into the Sith's image.
Crosshair missing was so epic. The best part is he hit the ship exactly but got delayed in his shot, so i think his instincts told him to aim higher but ge was so scared to miss omega that he took the safer quick shot.
@@AuntieLissiConsidering how amazingly bang on he usually is, not accounting for the ship’s full actions is unusual for him and notable. It’s not like he’s never had to hit a moving target quickly. In his mind? He should have had that. It doesn’t really matter that there’s a reasonable explanation for it.
When you re-watch, I think you'll see that Crosshair didn't "miss" per se. Due to the other trooper distracting him he was late and the ship made it out of range by the time he shot. I hope the the Shadow isnt' Tech. That would be too much of a cheat. They've held off on any reveal for there tone any kind of resolution to that as well.
Reminds me of “The Tradedy” from the Mandalorian where the Razor Crest is destroyed and Grogu is taken from Dark Troopers! So next episode they’ll definitely find coordinates somehow for Tantis just like Mando did in “the Believer”
The one thing I love about the shadow trooper guys, is the music that comes on when they're around. It's sounds so ominous and dangerous, like a spy movie with a dangerous bad ass that you know can end any of your favorite characters. This season of Bad Batch has really stepped it up and shown real progression in character growth. I'm glad they weren't afraid to show how dark, brutal and nasty the Empire is. The kids in the vault really reminded me of Stranger Things, and this episode reminded me of an asset in Jason Bourne showing they really are scary bad asses. Part of me wants to say Crosshair missed because of the time the Stormtroopers bought the ship to escape. I know it wasn't their intention, but when I seen it, I thought it was because the ship was out of range of the tracker shot. Anyways, you guys become one of my favorite reaction channels to all things Star Wars, another good upload my dudes!
To be fair to the Bad Batch, once the invasion started, it didn't matter whether they left the island or not. It's the Empire we're talking about, the one that exterminated Genoshia, and has at times, erased all evidence of an event by forcefully removing and enslaving entire villages. The Batch leaves, the islanders suffer. The Batch stays and tries to hide, the islanders suffer. Its entirely up to the whims of the Empire's leadership.
I think we do see Cid again. In the season 3 trailer, we see Wrecker on the roof of the moving juggernaut and jumping into a ship, carrying a lump fireman-style that looks suspiciously like Cid. You’d have to freeze the frame and blow it up.
I like that throughout the search you just see Troopers with flame throwers so you have that silent threat of just how much destruction they are completely willing and able to pull to accomplish their mission.
Kyle, you had the same reaction I did when the Havoc was destroyed! Brought right back to when the Razor Crest was destroyed. Damn the Empire for blowing up my favorite ships! 😢
This was some of the darkest material put to screen for Star Wars. Crosshair was delayed. His aim was true, but the craft had just moved out of range. Four episodes remain (all singles).
After seeing Tarkin's penny pinching last episode, the more and more I'm thinking that it _isn't_ Tech - why spend money rescuing a dead/dying clone and rebuilding them body and mind from scratch, when you can just use clones you already have?
@@unclebozo9845yeah, i’m pretty sure it’s not Tech myself, because although Tech is precise and intelligent, he isn’t that strong and quick to react. Cody = real interesting hypothesis!
I suspect Tarkin uses budget constraints as a thinly veiled excuse to take over projects he covets. After taking over Project Stardust from Krennic, it's clear Tarkin can't use penny pinching arguments anymore. The remaining question is how does Tarkin eliminate Hemlock?
hypothetically speaking here: But at the end of the episode omega is seen doing her breathing exercises, now I'm sure crosshair and her had a talk about him missing the shot, so she thought of plan B. I think her interaction with asajj ventress and kindness with her has formed a small connection and omega doing here Breathing techniques at the end of the episode is her reaching out to asajj ventress.
I did not know Omega’s toy was a plush toy! I may have to get one! Omega giving herself up to protect the island shows how grown up she’s becoming. I didn’t want her to do it! But she’s going to see what Emerie knows. Omega will be the inside help for Rex and everyone else! I just hope she knows what’s she’s doing! Hemlock is going to lock her down!
CX-01 had some kind of internal tracker didn't he? Hopefully, Omega has one. I can't believe they didn't expect they wouldn't find the one she was carrying and they didn't have a plan to find her if she was captured again. It's either that or Emerie needs to help. Maybe that's we got the double drop. Regardless, both episodes were really good.
Looking at the comment section just about everyone thinks Crosshair simply missed because he got delayed. Look at the shots he fired before. In the thick of it, with no time to overthink things, he's fine. He needs to just do. Not try. But he'll probably blame himself anyway. I don't think Hunter will blame him. Looked a bit like Omega attempted to reach out with the force. I could be wrong, but it would be fun if it led to something.
You had one job Crosshair. Seriousy he didn't exactly missed, the ship was just flying faster than the tracker. Now how the hell will they escape the planet and find Omega now? Doubt the Empire will just pack and leave.
I’m honestly starting to think this isn’t Tech. Tech wouldn’t have had to beat the shit out of Cid to find out who Phee of all people is and where Pabu is.
Hunter is going to kill Crosshair when he realizes what happened. I am afraid both him and Wrecker will accuse Crosshair of betraying them again and turning Omega to the Empire. My poor boys; the guilt is going to eat them up. Especially Crosshair.
I love how the operative has the vocal tones of each of the bad batch. It goes from tech to crosshair and hunter, it very briefly has wrecker’s as well. Keeps everyone on their toes. I’m still convinced he’s the real crosshair and the one with omega was a clone of a clone.
OR…he’s a generic mixture of all of them: Crosshair’s accuracy/hand eye coordination, Wrecker’s knowledge of demolitions, Tech’s technological genius and Hunter’s senses.
@@xmanxowarx7172 I thought this at first but I’m more convinced this is crosshair and tech is in the single pod Hemlock was checking in last episode. You’re probably right but I just have a feeling it’s crosshair and the “other operatives” with different helmets on the screen are the combination clones. It’s all good and can’t wait to see how it pays off
7:27 So did a quick Google an Imperial division is possibly between 5k and 10k troops. But thast probably Civil War era. But it's probably still a few thousand
Has it been confirmed that Moff Gideon’s clones were part of PN, or was that a personal project of his? It looks like the whole point of PN is to make force sensitive clones, but Gideon’s clones did not appear to have force abilities. Also, how can Omega have a mid-to-high M count when she was a clone of Jango. None of the other clones had higher than normal M counts. Could Emerie also have a similar M count?
Kyle and Bendu, either of you think that Omega M-Count/Binding/ Possible force sensitivity comes from being an early generation clone and NOT having the age acceleration?
Nah, Crosshair didn't really miss. It seemed like the trajectory of the shot was on target. It's just that what he shot wasn't a blasterbolt that travels indefinitely in a straigt line, but an unpropelled ballistic projectile (one that's too bulky and oddly shaped to fly well, either) and they can only go so far. Had he not been delayed by the TKs, he totally would have made that shot. I just hope that this doesn't lead to another rift in the team. And nah, i don't think the Empire will go Base Delta Zero on Pabu. More likely they'll just not leave again. And i also don't think the Clone X is a winter-soldiered Tech. They made sure to mention that Crosshair couldn't be indoctrinated due to his genetic irregularities. And Tech is a 99er, too, after all.
I’d die if that battledroid on your shelf was on its stomach, feet up like a white chick on the phone. I don’t know if it’d bend like that tho, looks cool anyhow
Me between Wrecker pushing Gonky out of the way of the explosion and Wrecker getting pulled from the water: Where is Gonky? Is Gonky safe? Is Gonky alright?
Surely it can’t be Winter Soldier Tech… Tech would know where Pabu was located. I hope it’s not Tech 😭 I didn’t think of Hunter perhaps sneaking on board 🤞🏽🤞🏽 P.S. am I mistaken or there was a rescue of the Bad Batch by Phee in the trailer? P.S.S. I am invested in Gonky’s survival too 😍
A Division in the United States Army is comprised of anywhere between 10 and 25 thousand personnel. It's obviously not going to be the same in Star Wars, but i'd imagine it's fairly similar, if not larger due to the much larger scale of warfare in Star Wars.
I still don’t believe it’s Tech. First because his fall really did seem like an emotional goodbye for the viewer. And an indication that it’s all really starting to hit the fan. I assumed he was gone gone as soon as it happened. He would totally sacrifice himself for them, and they kind of made a point of showing he understood it was that dire. I think we don’t see a body because it is still a kid’s show. And really, if we still needed Tech’s brains for the plot, I find it kind of pointless to dramatically fake kill him off, instead of capturing him somehow, even if only the audience knows. What would be the takeaway for a fake main character death? Especially geared for the younger audience? With Bucky, he mattered more to Steve than anyone else, including us, so bringing him back 1) fits with the particular secrecy of the USSR 2) makes him a far bigger threat than he ever was, and then 3) We see the toll it takes on Steve having to go after him. Here, we already know Tech matters strategically and personally. There’s no new discovery that he could be any more dangerous. It’s just temporarily placating us to bring him back now. War can bring random craziness, but that’s not really a good enough reason to pretend to kill him a whole season early. I honestly would feel kind of cheated if it’s a fake out. Plus if he was Winter Soldier Tech, we’re too quickly running out of interesting moments for him to be back properly before (what we assume) is the worst happening. I guess if he ironically survives all of this instead of them, maybe that’s something. But I’ll be a bit surprised if they kill Omega off. And having Tech with her feels too easy. I do believe the Clone is probably someone we know though, like others have surmised. I don’t have a particular guess, but I can jump on the Cody train. That’s sufficiently notable.
Hope Omega had a 2nd comn in a prison pocket with the battery pulled. 🤔 [Christopher Walken watch technique] 🧐 That was sloppy prisoner Search technique you should keep going after you find something.
My honest opinion, I don’t think it’s Tech, I think it’s Crosshair. I think they cloned him (somehow) and the clone of Crosshair is with the bad batch hence why his hand is shaking (problem with the cloning process). That’s what I’m sticking to. I’d love for Tech to be him but I think that’s too obvious.
New theory, Winter soldier is not Tech, and its definitely not cody, its got to be an exact replica of Crosshair. Like hes too good with sniping, hes had too many close calls with crosshair himself and both have barely walked away from eachother. Id even theorize that the x clones arent just regs, there could be a whole anti batch squad out there
Not to be that person: you can tell they trying to reuse specific scene locationsin last 2 episodes. Timing wise of production of this show this probably when the studio was told to close down which was announced last year. Meaning worst case in animation shows is we gonna get some rushed plots/scenes in remaining episodes from here on out.
So this is your FIRST TIME viewing episodic Television, eh? Or first Star Wars? Leia got captured in A New Hope, uh oh! That means Return of the Jedi sucks because she got captured again. 😂😂
