FILM DESCRIPTION:
The wife and son of a Mexican drug lord embark on a vengeful quest to kill all those involved in his trial and imprisonment -- including Miami Detective Mike Lowrey. When Mike gets wounded, he teams up with partner Marcus Burnett and AMMO -- a special tactical squad -- to bring the culprits to justice. But the old-school, wisecracking cops must soon learn to get along with their new elite counterparts if they are to take down the vicious cartel that threatens their lives.

There’s a deleted scene with Armando and Isabel where he asked her, “who is Mike Lowry?” And she dismisses it, then he looks at himself in the mirror as if to see any resemblance. I think they should have kept that scene. 🙂😉😉

But Mike explain that "before we partnered up". And that makes sense, cuz It will be ridiculous if your best friend of the high school is now your partner in your job. A mean: "ey captain, I see that my best friend is in the Academy, can we be partners? Yes, of course, you might know each other to complete all the hardest missions we have". I understand you Edward, but that phrase "before we partnered up", makes sense of all. My opinion

No, they’ve still been friends since childhood, but during the academy days, Mike got put on an assignment he never told Marcus about. Although, there is a bit of time inconsistency considering Mike did say to Marcus in the first film that “I’ve been your partner for five years and your boy your whole life.” And if the first film did take place in 95, that means they partnered up in 1990, which means Mike’s son should be older. A couple of times in this movie, they did mention it’s been 24 years since they’ve been partners, and if this film does takes place in 2020, that means they’ve now supposedly been partners since 1995.

Not sure people saying this scene makes it seem they didn’t know each other. Marcus himself said “but you were not on that case”, obviously he knew about the case but had no idea Mike was put on it, friends or not. Mike was deep undercover and if you ever been in law enforcement, you will understand that some undercover cases can be so sensitive even your own spouse cannot know about it.

The fact that this was the deepest movie of the three, while being kinda dark and adding layers to Mike's story was outstanding. His son was every bit as ruthless as he was, if not more so and he knew it. This moment when it all hit Mike and he had to finally tell Marcus what it was, easily the most vulnerable Mike's been across three movies. It hurt him to put his woman away, hurt him even more because he knew what had to come next and he wasn't ready to do it. Well, at that moment he wasn't. By the time he boards the plane for the finale, he is. (The plane scene by the way, probably the funniest exchange of the three movies.)

There's a running gag in the beginning of the first two Bad Boys movies, where Marcus says to Mike Lowrey, "Unlike you, my daddy didn't leave me no trust fund." Marcus even jokingly says they think he's some "Rich kid PLAYING Cop," to the point where Mike gets offended and shoots back with, "What, I'm supposed to APOLOGIZE for my family leavin' me money?" It's unlikely that his trust fund had anything to do with Isabel Aretas. If anything, it might predate his involvement with Isabel, by a few years, give or take. We don't know what happened to Lowrey's parents, just that they're not around by the first movie.

It was much better than Gemini man. The problem with Gemini man was the casting of will smith playing the old and young hitman character. It wasn’t believable. It was made for an older actor like Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Clint Eastwood.

This scene is inconsistent with the timeline. When Mike is looking at the computer records, it says he was shot in 2019 (meaning this movie takes place in 2019), that Isabel was arrested in November 1995 & that the son was born in 1996. And here, he tells Marcus '24 years ago before we partnered up, Captain Howard pulled me out of the academy and sent me undercover'. Except the first Bad Boys is set in summer 1995, and Mike's not in the academy; in fact, he's already partners with Marcus. He even tells Marcus "we've been partners for six years." 1995-6 = 1989. In _Bad Boys II_ Mike is looking at a high school yearbook from 1989 where there's a message from Marcus that says "We ride together, we die together. Bad Boys For Life." Which means Marcus and Mike went to high school together, graduated in 1989, and then immediately went to police academy, becoming partners & by 1995 they were detectives. So Mike being undercover during the academy until November 1995 doesn't make any sense. There's even a moment during Reggie's wedding where Marcus says "we've been cops for 24 years" which didn't make any sense, either. Obviously it's 24 years at the time since the first movie came out, but they didn't just become cops in the first movie. I know it's "just a movie" but you'd think someone would've noticed. Then again, the main writer for _Bad Boys II_ had admitted he never saw the first movie when he wrote the script so I guess watching the previous movies isn't required for a screenwriter.

@martmandred9182 like he told Marcus real name was Ricky, but after meeting Isabel she made Ricky into the guy we now know: wearing lots of suits, very expensive motel or single bachelor pads and off the top of the line cars he drives. And after Bad Boys 1 Marcus thought he was a rich boy being a cop, but turns out the money he got was from the bust he made with Benito was set for life, until Isabel came out and want revenge with her son she had in jail and probably trained in secret for the past 24 years with someone who was a lieutenant in her husband's old gang
