The scene where Pat was singing and rapping the song to Pran is actually a song that Nanon (the actor who plays as Pran) did as collaboration with a girl group from GMMTV (or GMM music to be specific) called Sizzy and the song is called Love Score, and what makes the scene funnier is the reaction of Nanon through Pran being annoyed by the song, we can tell he actually looks embarrassed and flustered, and Ohm (the actor who plays as Pat) definitely took this opportunity to embarrass him which makes the whole situation even funnier😂

when jason said 'the casting director knows what they're doing' it made me smile a little because fun fact, the director of bad buddy himself has been thinking about making ohm and nanon to play the role since the very first time he read the novel. he said quote unquote "it's ohmnanon all along", so yeah, the chance was bad buddy wouldnt have happened if ohmnanon didnt accept the offer of being in a bl series together. ohm (pat) has done bl quite a lot and he said he didnt want to play in bl series for a while but then p'aof (bad buddy director) asked him if he'd be interested in playing in bl again or not, ohm said no of course but then p'aof tells him that nanon would be his co-star and he agreed to do it right away :D while in the other hand, nanon has never done bl series in his life and p'aof was clever to tell nanon that he'd play with ohm in his bl series debut, he agreed to do it right away also after knowing it's ohm lol

when they did the first kissing scene that was nanon (pran) improving the ketchup on his lips so when ohm (pat) was trying to get away that was all real because ohm doesn’t like messy things on him. I love the fact that pat and prans relationship is so realist most of the time and it feels like things that could actually happen to anyone in real life. Like their so cute to me. And when pat was placing the xylophone and he was playing the happy birthday melody that was improved by ohm again because it was nanons birthday coming up. And I love how Ink is so sassy with wai when he tries to find out information about pa it’s like she basically saying back off without saying it out loud. And I find it adorable how pat was upset and called pran but once he realized he was busy he said it’s okay have fun but pran could tell he really needed him so he went to go cheer him up right away. Wai is starting to really irritate me because now he’s like the only one who always has anger in him for no reason like how are you gonna get mad that the girl you like is pat sister like he did it on purpose it’s like he feels and make everything about him and is actually really toxic and selfish as a best friend and person in general. And when pat and pran had a disagreement and pat was playing the xylophone you could feel everything that he wanted to say and could feel every emotion he wanted the audience to feel he did so amazing in that scene and I love how they both realized what they did wrong apologized right away and explained why they were upset and felt that way and listened to each other and came to a understanding and compromise like a real mature couple would like they are the healthiest bl couple or couple in general that I have ever seen and I’m so proud of them for actually communicating and not shutting down and breaking up over every small thing like most bl couples do and I hate how their relationship got exposed it’s sad. And I hate how the dad keeps trying to push what he wants on pat and make him feel bad for trying to be his own person and actually do things he wants to do like seriously he’s a toxic parent at it’s finest. And if you noticed they revealed what their love language is pats is touch that’s why he always wants pran T-shirt to wear and smell to feel his presence even when he’s not around and prans is words of admiration that’s why he always keeps pats headphones on him and they both also have acts of service because they always do small things for each other no matter what.
P'Aof (the writer/director of Bad Buddy) is a gay man, so when you say that the producers and casting director knew what they were doing by putting Pat in rugby uniforms (or shirtless scenes), you are 100% correct.

Are you sure about the 21 episodes? Is this very recent news or are you just guessing? Cause considering that most bls don't even run for more than 15 episodes I find it weird that the one that looks so expensive is longer than everything else ("I told sunset about you" was also high budget and was only 6 episodes)

What i really love about PatPran's relationship is how they are still the same, but they are just lovers now, they still tease, annoy, prank and compete to each other but also be sweet and flirty at the same time. It just shows that's how their dynamic is no matter if they are friends, "rivals" or lovers, it's something that they always have no matter what. I also like how we can see the difference in how they treat each other in terms of romantic gestures, and how they both view their relationship, and about the whole thing where they were having the conversation about their relationship being found out by others. For me, Pran is more of a private person, i feel like even if there weren't issues between their parents or friends, he'd still keep their relationship private, he's not very loud about himself so it's not like he'd be loud as well about his private life and relationships (however we can see that later on, he wouldn't mind having his relationship known) whereas you can see Pat is clearly someone who doesn't mind having his relationship found out, in fact it's something that he wants, he wants to tell the people that he has someone in his heart, and that he loves them back, he's that type of a person, but i love how they are just self aware about their actions and how they acted on the whole situation so they try to find a middle ground between them and communicate properly, because both of them want to make their relationship work. They both have gone through so much to get to where they are now so they try to stabilize their relationship and just brace themselves for the worst.

my favourite scene is the car scene! Pat is dancing to Nanon(the actor of Pran)'s song and even raps Nanon's part! I just love it so much Also Ink and Pa are so cute! And I really recommend watching behind the scenes, because the actors are best friends in real life (even before the series) and the scene where they were practicing the play, Nanon (Pran) couldn't stop laughing, because of Ohm (Pat)'s breath was tickling him and it was just over all really cute! And lastly! The entire balcony scene was improvised, and the director loved it so much that he didn't cut it down (also all the small kisses and such are impovised by Nanon and Ohm, they ended up breaking the record of most kisses in a bl)

Hi,, I love watching you guys reacting to this series so much >< I’m Thai myself and I want to add a little bit regarding your questions about Thai society towards the LGBTQ+ community~ usually we are accepting, ofc there are some people who are more on the conservative sides but the majority from generation X down to the younger generations have been very accepting and are pursuing our protest in hope for same sex marriage law to be legal within the country despite the big BL scene the country has been in a way profiting off of. We are also trying to spread awareness on toxic traits in BL series and aim for viewers to be able to identify red flags and differences between real life situations and “fantasy”. I myself am a pansexual and I never really face any issues regarding the negative side so far as the people around me has been very accepting, open minded and treat me like any other human on earth. Even within the LGBTQ+ community itself there are still some people who doesn’t understand each other as much, thus a lot of the people in the community are trying to educate each other on the matter. Also I really recommend watching Not Me as the series itself pretty much covered the topic of Thai society and laws as such,, but if you guys want to try out something cute and fluffy I definitely recommend Cutie Pie The Series! >< P.s sorry if my English or grammar seems off hehe

It is absolutely as much fun watching you both respond to things as the episode goes on as it is re-watching the episode itself. It really shows how having two people respond together really does double the entertainment value of the reaction. I did look up the original story of Kwan and Rian, and it is indeed the story of the son and daughter of rival village chiefs who fall in love with each other, sort of like Romeo and Juliet. I was very impressed with the scene with Pat playing the xylophone during the rehearsal, and not just because he’s shirtless; Ohm really plays that scene with great intensity, and you can see how he’s using it to deal with his own emotions and convey it to Pran. I know I’ve said this before in comments, but having watched the whole thing through now, I found myself more and more impressed with the performances of the two leads with every episode.
You should definitly watch Not Me, it's a Thai BL but also a series about fighting for equal rights, all the romances are amazing, the chemistry is stunning and there is the most heartwhelming scene of demonstration for LGBT rights. The story isn't only about the romance it also has a delinquant fighting for justice vibe. I think it's the best BL I've seen so far and it deserves way more attention! I see a lot of people recommending Not Me and I agree that it's a very good series but keep in mind that it's very different from Bad Buddy. If BB is a rom-com style of drama, Not Me is more of an action thriller and it actually directly addresses important social issues in Thailand (that are applicable in most of the world, though, because we all live in a capitalist society, so a lot of the issues are very relatable). Also, the last 2 episodes aren't out yet and I'm always hesitant to recommend series that are still ongoing because the remaining episodes might ruin it (tbh in my opinion they already messed up one of the storylines but I'm ignoring it because I do love the rest of the series; however, it's made me hesitant to recommend the series to people until it's out in its entirety).
Pat and Pran aren't living together, it's just Pat loves spending his time more in Pran's place because it's like a safe space for them to just be themselves and spend their time together without anyone knowing, plus his sister is living with him so he doesn't want to bother her much so he prefers to just stay with Pran but he does go back to his room from time to time cause Pran would often be busy or needs space or quietness to do his work or whatnot.
I recommend both of you guys to react to "I Told Sunset about You (Part I)" and "I Promised You the Moon (Part II)". This series made a phenomenon in Thailand two years ago. You gonna love them so much. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to this series.

tbh i didnt like 2gether , its overhyped , the first few eps were not bad then it was dragged to the point it become really silly . i recommend gameboys, not me, cutie pie. those series have a good plot and a great acting. kinnporsche didnt start yet, i have high expectations so i hope its good edit: as i watched more of cutie pie new eps, im getting mixed feelings, the serie is interesting when its about the plot and all but there is also toxic and controlling behaviors going on right now ,i just wanted to add this

About your casting comment. They are actually very very close friends in real life. That's why the director chose them especially. Pat and Pran are so much like Ohm and Nanon. Even tho Ohm (Pat) said he won't be in BL project anymore, he accepted the project as soon as he heard his partner is Nanon.
Nanon said his career doesn’t need him to do BLs when P’Aof said he could do it with Ohm Nanon and his parents said yes ( if you don’t know his dad is an actor )
@@elizabethraousing6425 There seems to be a misconception when it comes to Nanon apparently saying he'd flat out never do a bl. He never said he wouldn't do one, he just said he's never really been approached with a director/script combo he was particularly interested in. He's not really known for taking romantic roles at all so it wasn't even necessarily the bl aspect. But I think the opportunity to work with P'aof and his crew was a big deal for him. And it's also true that Ohm wasn't really interested in doing any more bls at the time, probably worried he was being typecast. But it was Nanon's casting and P'aof's involvement that sold him on taking the role. Also I think Nanon's mother's worry was that he was being approached initially as a minor for bls (I mean the guy literally just turned 21 and has been getting asked to be in them since he was like 16/17) and she recognised (rightly so) that bl fandoms can be toxic af and put a lot of pressure on these young men. I think that was an especially big factor given that Nanon has been very open about struggling with depression the last couple of years. I think it would be difficult being in that vulnerable state of mind and gaining the popularity and enthusiastic fans Ohm and Nanon have since the show began airing.

I really love how this series addresses issues between characters, specifically romantic issues. For obvious reasons, Pran wants to keep his relationship with Pat a secret. Pat, on the other hand, doesn't mind going public. Even though there is a moment where both get heated, they cool down and eventually talk it out. I love that. It really showcases how strong and healthy their relationship is. Both are willing to compromise and meet in the middle.
I’ve seen some other comments about these, but some some fun facts about this episode: The ketchup kiss scene in the beginning was an improvisation from Nanon (the actor who plays Pran) The song playing in the car was actually a song sung by Nanon The scene with the Thai xylophone where Pran is wriggling around in Pat’s arms was actually because Nanon was ticklish from Ohm’s breath as he spoke. From what I understand is they even had to have multiple takes because he kept laughing

The gesture is called "wai" and it's used to pay respect(u already know that u use it to say hi sorry and goodbye but here's a new way to use it) whenever u r about to touch the face or the head of someone older than you. Ohm and Nanon were the first choice to cast and the director got a hold of each of them to see if they would do it. Nanon agreed, but Ohm said no, he wanted to stop doing BL's. But the director told him 'What if your partner is Nanon', and Ohm said, "Yes. I'll do it." They have been best friends for years since like 2018 or so.

Guys i will warn you to be careful accepting recommendations for thai bl shows like “kinnporsche” or “tharntype” sometimes shows like that can get really toxic or unnecessarily queerbaity and uncomfortably sexual so it’s best to do just a little research on what the actual lgbtq+ community thinks of the show before picking one to watch. Shows like Until We Meet Again, Theory Of Love or the latest Not Me are not bad places to start since they were well received by queer people last time i checked.
agree with tharntype hated that show but kinnporsche is supposed to be toxic and dark with morally grey characters and it's 21+ so people will know what they're getting into also 2gether is not a good drama aside from lack of chemistry it's filled with very harmfull tropes.

@@bluestory6997 the main couple acted more like two straight friends living together than a couple they were so afraid of touch, miscomunication, tine characters just fited in a category of dumb uke in bl, green(femine) guy was a stalker and very loud and touchy person, girls were used as mindless screaming fangirls or plot device to come between main couple, and one of the side couple was very toxic. it's been a long time a watched that drama so, that's all i can remember.
1. In the beginning when Pat made breakfast, Pran kisses pat with ketchup lips. In that moment it was Nanon who improvised that scene. 2. Keep in mind that OhmNanon loves to improvise moments and you know when it's that moments.
Neighbors growing up together and ending up married is pretty common in my country . My uncle married like this and even I live in super homophobic country I know two high school boys in my neighborhood that are in relationship I just catch them kissing but acted like I saw nothing and I still see them around, hanging out and catching hands and hiding behind trees, its truly a miracle that how their parents didn't find out yet they are awful at secret dating

I have not seen anyone comment about this yet but Riam Kwan is a thai folklore tale which is really similar to romeo and juliet (wai explained the story in the last ep while we had that montage of them flirting) which is literally what bad buddy is based off of. In the trailer (which you should watch when you're done with the show) they call bad buddy a modern bl retelling of Romeo and Juliet

They were on another series together called Blacklist and Ohm did many other BLs and he said that the only reason he agreed to do this one is because he would be playing opposite to Nanon. Also the actor who plays Korn (Drake) has been in many other BLs too and in most of them he played a gay character
In Southeast Asia there is a big wave of BL phenomenon. I think the it had a boom during the quarantine period in 2022, especially in my country, when most people would stay in their homes and do nothing except watching something on line. It is big and serious like fans from other countries would send gifts, sometimes expensive brands, and do fan projects like LED display in malls and tarpaulin on tutuks, food support to the actors and all, exhibits in cafe, birthday projects and all. You name it all.❤️💯
