Bad Company is and always will be superb. Their music could really stir my blood and senses. Driving in my car listening to them was AMAZING! Their music has a seamless perfection. Tight and precise. Masterclass.
Which nation? The band members are English, though I think they were most popular in the USA. Any way you look at it, Paul Rodgers was the ultimate front man.
I'm 50-yrs old and I remember the end of the '70s. If Marty McFly shows up with the DeLorrean, I'm jumping back to the '90s and/or '70s with a 2-way ticket, man. 'I am BAD COMPANY till the day I die!!"
70 here and still rocking out, I grew up with this music, still amazing to think we had the Stones, Black Sabbath & Ozzy, Deep Purple etc... and a few have done this song, 5 fingered death punch is a favourite, but nobody does it like Paul Rogers KEEP ON ROCKIN FOLKS
How could you not love a band that came off the starting block like they did? 1)Superstar line-up 2)#1album 3) label mates with zeppelin!! 4) management by Peter Grant same as zeppelin!! As you can see I am and will continue to be a fan!!
No it is not the end of the story! He is not only the best vocalist in the world but he also plays the piano harmonica guitar Paul Rodgers is a true artist oh! He also writes great lyrics! Anyway! Bad company just kicks ass! I had the privilege of them being the first band I ever saw live in concert in 1978 or 1979 at the baton rouge Assembly center or the LSU Assembly center not quite sure but I was 13 years old going on 14 front row seats the show was awesome! Thank God for Paul Rodgers!❤❤❤
I discovered bad company as a young teen back in the 70’s because I loved his voice in the song Alright Now when he was with Free. He’s a living Legend. I saw Bad Company 2 times in concert in the 70’s. 🖤🖤🖤
I am 57. I watched Don Kirchner a lot in the 1970s. I can't believe I missed this great Bad Co video in 1974. BTW, I have been a big Rock fan since "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road."
I Love This Song... Remember hearing it on the radio 📻 all the time in the 70s.. The US adopted this song for Special Forces in the late 70s early 80s.
Cute rocker! Still is today. Lol. Grew up listening to these guys. Still do today. . . .Oh, the days of good rock! Thanks Bad Co. for the memories and great tunes. Cheers!
That’s Mick Ralphs, just months after leaving his longtime band Mott the Hoople. Ive always loved his melodic soloing. He’s also one of the best at filling both the lead and rhythm spaces when there’s no 2nd guitarist. (Paul Rodgers was a perfectly decent guitarist though, and he and Mick played that double solo on Can’t Get Enough.)
One of the best rock bands, I listen to them for a long time and I have on vinyl several of their albums, excellent, this piece "bad Company" with the melodious voice of Paul Rodgers and on the piano, beautiful. Greetings from Bogotá Colombia
I had the privilege of seeing paul Rodgers play at a small venue in Solana beach california...THE BELLY UP TAVERN I think it was 1999..this club has a capacity of about 300...paul was wireless and roaming the room...as close as 10 feet from me...a rare treat to see him this close...as the band is usually playing sold out arenas..it was close to my 35th bday...and ranks as one of the best concerts I've ever seen...Paul's the man...
Saw them three times in Memphis back in the late 70s. They were awesome on stage. And I'll never forget Paul in gold lame' bell bottom pants, shirt and gold hat. I was in the second row and took a picture of him but it didn't come out well, especially if you didn't have a 35MM camera. LOL! But I still have the photo bad or not.
You have a Bad photograph, you can’t deny, bad photograph TIL the day you die🤣 what a great recording this is. I’m jealous of you seeing BadCo at their prime.
In those days, I saw Paul Rodgers live in concert or on an album cover and that's it. No social media hype to promote a below-average singer. I knew who he was from his days with Free but in 1974 everyone knew his name and how truly great he was. Bad Company and a waterbed are a steamy combination and many people who were born in the 70s have Paul Rodgers to thank for it. 🎉😘 🎉
If I could sing like Paul Rogers, I'd never speak again. Every single syllable would be sung. "I - Ay-heee-eye, am going, to, the caaa-heee-Yaaan, yeah!"
Along with Free, Bad Co is my co-favourite band ever. I remember seeing them live on Liverpool Stadium in April 1974, a fantastic gig - and what a fantastic venue The Stadium was - saw Free there too in 1970. Sadly it's gone now. This video shows what a superb band they were live, a wonderfully tight set - and Paul Rodgers has, imo, the greatest rock/soul voice ever.....and still has ! Hope they tour again next year.
@@jayreed1493 I never mentioned anything about the album - I said I saw them live at the Stadium in April 1974, while on their UK tour. They played many if not all the songs on the forthcoming album.
That must have been insane, not only did the 70s have the best bands, but even the sound system sounded better in my opinion, saw zz top in 79, 11 yrs old, I was the only 11 yr old there, The sound was amazing, loud, clear, and crunchy. Hated the weird distorted 80s sound
@@timpenfield5 Couldn't agree more Tim - do you mean you saw ZZ Top at the Liverpool Stadium ? If so, that's brilliant and yes, the sound was fantastic there always ! Still waiting for their next gig wherever - if ever !
@@radhulbh1703 Liverpool? nah, Upstate N.Y. Very little culture up there back then, except rock bands coming in, even owning all a groups records was difficult, guys in the UK, LA, NY City etc... would have all the zep record, Queen, Who etc... Upstate NY, 1 or 2 of each group, Had all 9 of the zep records though rad, Peace, cheers
Kirke on those drums is awesome! And Rodgers vocals are LEGENDARY! The vocals comes so natural to him. The inflections and ad-libs are instinctual. He’s gifted more than talented I think. Paul Rodgers was BORN TO SING. And I’m so glad he does! I can’t imagine my life without his songs in it. Paul’s voice has accompanied me thru the majority of my 64 years. Bad Co’s “Straight Shooter” was the first album I ever owned - it was an 8-track. My girlfriend at the time (1975) asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said I want two albums: “Straight Shooter” by Bad Company and “One Of These Nights” by The Eagles. She bought ‘em both for me. Those were the first two albums I ever owned. I quickly added Bad Co’s first album, “Bad Company”, to my growing collection, and bought every album they later released with Rodgers as their vocalist. I have ‘em all. And their last two studio albums produced before Paul left: “Desolation Angels” and “Rough Diamonds” have really grown on me as my appreciation for the songs included on those has only increased thru the years.
Rocking toon. One of the best. Somehow I envision William Quantrill and his bushwhacked charging on. Frank and Jesse James were part of this raider band along with Cole Younger. They were truly bad company if you were on the other side.
Am I alone in saying that when this song comes on the radio that I have to crank up the volume and sing along? "Well I can just hear them say ... Bad Company I can't deny! Bad Company, 'til the day I die!" 🤜
If this video truly is from Darrel K Royal Stadium in 1974, I was there. The all-day, outdoor event was billed as "ZZ Top's First Annual Beer and BBQ". There never was a Second Beer and BBQ concert. Peter Frampton was there as well. It was miserably hot that late September day...that much I'll always remember.
I was at DKR that day, too, and what I can't figure out is that Bad Company was the first band to play, and it was still very much daylight...but this video looks like it was night time when it was recorded. (Bad Co. was the main act I wanted to see that day, but it was so damned miserable in the heat, I couldn't hardly enjoy it.)
Guys .. I’m pretty sure the “DKRC” in the description refers to Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert. When the camera pulls back at the end, the “Rock Concert” stage banner is visible.
