26:57 Congratulations, you just witnessed the first ever Caddicarus Bouns Round. That itself became a meme and begot this remix for example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7KEy_ipbo3k.html
ive had lockjaw twice, its just as awful as you imagine it to be because its constant pain, you cant really talk other than maybe wiggling your tongue a bit but even that just causes it to hurt more and its really hard to not panic when it happens as your body screams at you to fix it quickly amongst your own panic
At the end when he plays the Crash 4 trailer saying the other games didn't happen, it should be noted that the devs didn't say that out of some kind of spite. Maybe it comes off like that in Caddy's video, but it really was just a cute joke. The devs would later say in interviews that they weren't trying to throw shade or anything. Frankly, I'm inclined to believe that too. Since I assume developers from ACTIVISION of all places recognize that game companies aren't exactly the best environment. Even with good games. The Crash games in the last 20 years probably had tons of unnecessary mandates, crunch, and hostile work environments and most of them came from Activision so they probably knew those devs, or were devs themselves.
Hey, when you get to his most recent video on the EyeToy, be sure to check out his pinned comment. Things have been ROUGH in his life for the last 8 months. And it doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.
I like Crash Bash, so I always have to grit my teeth a little when I watch that section of this video. I never found the repetition of game types all that tedious, my bigger problem is how hard they are unless you're playing Adventure Mode in co-op (which he weirdly doesn't mention is a feature). Also, his complaints about the story are off; he's right about the nonsense talk of "the ancients" not allowing Aku and Uka to fight when they have before, but he's wrong about the bosses being aligned with Uka Uka (Papu Papu/Oxide are independent villains, the Komodo Bros. were aligned with N. Brio against Cortex/Uka and Bearminator is a new character). The _actual_ mistake there was Uka Uka calling Papu Papu "an old friend" when he isn't. He weirdly doesn't bring up one of the _actual_ dumb things in the plot, that being Aku Aku taking Tiny and Dingodile for his team to make the sides even, even though they'd have no reason to want to support him, and Brio being on Uka's side _instead_ of Aku's even though he's _not_ an ally of Cortex/Uka at this point and has worked with Crash/Aku before in his last appearance.
Oh, and that bit about Nitro Kart's bosses is inaccurate. They have intro/defeat cutscenes that are actually _more_ dynamic and fleshed out than the ones in Crash Team Racing and Krunk doesn't change his mind about racing your team just because Emperor Velo asks him to; Velo points out that your team is from Earth, which it turns out Krunk has a grudge against due to seeing it as a poor imitation of his home planet, Terra. Overall, while I agree with Caddy about the much poorer gameplay in CNK compared to CTR, I think CNK has a better story.
@@Zomdra Nice to know I wasn't going crazy hearing him talk about the plot of these games. It feels like he just needed to emphasize something bad, but just didn't know what given what his current writing style's like. Especially Nitro Kart. Because here's the thing. He goes "The CTR plot is aliens, and Nitro Kart is aliens" implying that's lazy. But literally in any other game, wouldn't that just be considered basic continuity? Like it takes 2 seconds to think "Okay yeah, Velo heard that a great racer called Oxide challenged Earth to a grand prix and lost. Velo has a planet to entertain, so why not take Earth's best racers?" Like, this isn't exactly like some jarring Crash 3 to Wrath of Cortex continuity here.
The Skylanders games are all really fun, but Imaginators and Spyro’s adventures are admittedly the weakest in the series, so Caddy wasn’t given the best introduction. Then again, he seems to dislike the idea of Toys to Life in general, so I guess he wouldn’t like any of these games.
Imaginators is a lot of people's favorites, but even without that, (my favorite is Trap Team) the movement issue and basic concept of "beat-em-ups" but for kids really don't change from game to game, he just will be able to jump after Giants. It's just not his cup of tea.
