I've said this before, I'd literally overcome my greatest fears. For a show with this art style, and story. For the love of god. It's so adorable, You just wanna give them a good ending from the first look.
I need more endings. I want to create a cringe joke book as the maiden and have everyone conspire against me, even the hero. Edit:It's only a game. And good endings soon get quite repetitive.
I just realized that they only reason they all burn in the castle is because they’ve been trying to push the door open when you’re supposed to pull it open.
Notice how when you play as a character, the screen has a slight tint reflecting that character (Hero is orange, Overlord is pink, etc) The “True Endings” for all the characters have all the colors in it because it is all of their “True Ending.”

"Alright, allow me to explain how it works." *The owner brings up 2 characters, a human and demon* "To begin the tutorial, select whichever doll you like." "Jaden, want to choose this one?" "Ok Tyson, I'll choose the human doll." "You control the human doll. You're a friendly little guy, just minding your own business. How will you interact with the human doll?" "Well, I know it is going to kill me if I try to play nice so let's kill it first." "You kill the demon in cold blood, how ruthless." "You monster!" What? are you going to make me feel guilty now? How about you choose this time!" "Fine, I bet I can do a better job then you!" *The owner resets the stage* "Let's try the demon doll this time!" "Alright. You control the demon doll. You're a fierce looking guy, just minding your own business. How will you interact with the human doll?" "Hmm, lets attack him!" "You're making the same choice I did." "I know, but I think-" "You both attack each other at once and achieve the worst possible outcome." "..." "I can do a better job, he says, and then he proceeds to get the worst outcome. Congrats" "I didn't know that would happen though." "I made the human attack the demon, you made the demon attack the human." "Oh" "As your friend said, you can set the doll's behaviors in advance. Both of you also demonstrated and found out that these behaviors will automatically be set to what you chose during your last playthrough." "That sounds very confusing, imagine the number of endings this theater has!" "Hey, you signed up for this. So, I'm guessing we can also set those behaviors on and off so that we don't have to play through as them again. Is that correct?" "Yes, my theater also doubles as a puzzle game. Try turning the doll's behaviors on and off and see what happens." "Ok, let's take turns picking. I go first and you go second. Got it?" "Got it!" "Alright. So, what would happen if we were to both play nice?" "You and the human doll are able to set aside your differences and became friends!" "Wait, what? That isn't a tragic ending!" "Absolutely, I'm still going to keep that good ending for later though. Might be foreshadowing-" "No, it isn't. Now, I got to tell you one thing before the show starts. It will automatically save the bad endings you have collected. So, collect them at your own pace. Without further ado, let's start the show!" *The owner puts the 2 dolls away and brings up 4 new ones, a hero, a maiden, an underling, and an overlord* "Uh, that's a ton of choices." "Well, I already took my turn, so you got to pick now." "Hmm, I think I'll be the Hero!" "You are the hero; you think of yourself as a pretty reliable and swell guy." "I bet this was a good option." "Your life has been ordinary, aside from the occasional heroic adventures, fighting monsters and whatnot. You are told a maiden from your village has been kidnapped and is likely held captive at the nearby demon overlord's castle." "Weird, why would they put a village NEAR a castle with demons?" "Who even puts a village near where an entire demon army hangs out? You don't get it." "My words exactly" "You're happy to protect the townsfolk though, you were born to play this role!" "You head of on your adventure to save the maiden." (Here is how I'm going to do this, I'm going to pick the best endings in my opinion. We'll do the first ones and then do those ones. then the "True end" then finale. Got it? Plus a bonus at the end, lets start. "Alright Tyson. You choose this one!" "Hmm... let's go with HERO!" "Oh god, I think I got a good idea on what you're doing." "Yeah. Pretty much" **Tyson starts to go backstage** "Wait, what the-" "What? She isn't going to notice!" **Tyson goes backstage and makes "the only thing they fear is you" play** "Tyson no! She's going to notice!" "She will not, trust me!" 2:05 **Tyson is humming the tune playing in the background of the theater as he watches the carnage unfold, he then turns up the volume of the music, Jaden goes to the back and tries to stop the music** "FUCK! SHE'S DEFINATLY GOING TO NOTICE!" "She will not! Calm yourself and watch the massacre, ok?" **Tragedy walks in** "What is going on in here? Where is that music coming from!?" "Tyson decided to turn the fucking music ALL the way up and decided to play doom music." "It was a good idea!" **Jaden switched the music back** "There we go." "Thank you but please, stop your friend from doing that next time." "Damnit" "What the fuck where you thinking Tyson!?" "I thought it was a good idea, ok? "You must've forgotten where you we're." "Wait... Bad end theater. DAMNIT-" "Correct, seems like you still know where you are. Is the pain setting in already? I bet it is." "...Ok, I was joking in all the endings. I'll admit." "Even the gruesome ones." "Yes, but this crosses the line for me. You're bragging about a slow and painful death that EVERYONE suffers. That is foul even for my standards." "I agree with Tyson here." "Well, I guess there isn't anything you can do about it. Afterall, it's just a screen right? I'll let you decide what happens next." **Tragedy leaves** "Wait, she said it was a world right?" "Yeah? What are you planning to do?" "Ok, just watch this." **Jaden sets it to the final ending where all the characters are** "All 4, in one place. A burning one at that" "Wait, are you going to-" **Jaden jumps into the screen and teleports into their world** "Wait, what the fuck!? Let me try that!" **Tyson follows Jaden** **The characters don't seem to notice them yet, until Jaden says this next line** "Everyone listen up! We're going to get you out of here safely! Stay quiet and calm and your safety is assured. Got it?" "Where did you even come from!?" (O) "Don't ask, It's a very long story. Now, we just got to get this door-" 1:07:01 **they're outside the burning castle now, everyone is confused as hell.** "Woah! I can do THAT?" "What the fuck is happening?" (U) "Well, I came here to save you four, but I didn't think I had THAT power!" **Meanwhile, In the building. Tyson teleports in it** "Hello? Jaden? Damnit, must've gotten ahead or left. No matter! I'll just-" **Tyson snaps his hands. the teleporting thing happens again** "WHAT!?" "Aha! It works with a snap of the finger! Uh, I don't know HOW I activated it last time or how that works." "I'm so confused, what the fuck is even happening?" (H) "Wait, so if you saved us and appeared out of nowhere then are you 2 angels?" (M) "No." "Absolutely not." **Tyson sudden gets an idea to mess with them** "Well, maybe a little bit. Maybe ALOT of a bit. *Maybe it's not a bit at all-"* **Jaden slaps him** "OW!" "Shut up! No, we aren't. No exploiting this! Got it?" "Why would you joke about that!?" (M) "I thought it would be funny." "I think you have a horrible sense of humor if you thought that was going to be fucking funny." (O) "So where are we going to go?" (U) "Well, we're going to get you out of here. Clean and simple. New life and opportunities-" **Tragedy appears** "No, you aren't. Did you two really think you we're the only ones who could come into this story? I'm the narrator. The god of this world!" "Story? He must have a hobby." **Tyson notices hero working on a new shirt** "You have a hobby huh? And it's about making clothing? Nice!" "What the- How did you get here!? Are you a demon-" (H) "Relax Hero, I just wanted to see what you we're doing." "Really? Could you at least knock on the door?" (H) "Eh, you would just tell me to go away anyway so that's ineffective- Hey, wait a minute." "What?" (H) "What are you even sowing back there?" "Oh this? It's where I craft all my hero gear!" (H) "Sweet! This clothing looks really good, and it feels very high quality!" "Really? Thanks! Would you like some?" (H) "Uh, sure. Why not?" "Thanks so much!" (H) "What, it's not like the townsfolk don't like them right? I mean, why would they?" "Apparently they do, they just don't seem to like it and I don't know why." (H) "Hmm, tell you what. I got an idea. Come here" **Tyson whispers an idea to hero** "Really? You can help me do that?" (H) "Yes, and more. Just grab my hand" "Uh, ok?" (H) **They teleport back to the theater.** 1:13:10 (Jaden's path) "Oh, we're in the middle of town. I see. Heh, well we just got to find our person-" **Jaden bumps into maiden** "Ouch!" (M) "Oof!" "Oh, I'm so sorry traveler!" (M) **In Jaden's head: "That didn't take long."** "Ouch. It's fine. I'm ok alright?" "I haven't seen anyone like you here. Are you new?" (M) "Yeah, but I'm no traveler." "Well then maybe you're a demon? I was hoping I would meet one!" (M) "I don't have any abnormal features. I'll let you figure out the rest because it's THAT straight forward." "So, you aren't one?" (M) "Pretty much. Wait a minute" "Huh?' (M) **Jaden then realizes all the terrible fates that will happen to her.** "Are you ok, you seem terrified. You don't seem ok." (M) "I'm fine, just PTSD that's all! Well, I've also come up with something." "Sure, what is it?" (M) **Jaden gives maiden an idea, a way to change her fate** "If there is something I can do to reach fulfilment. Then please, guide me!" (M) "Ok, just grab my hand." "Ok, sure thing!" (M) **They teleport back to the theater** (It is so late where I'm typing this out. I'm going to finish this story tomorrow when I have the chance.)
Spoilers for Persona q2 and Bad End Theater up ahead The final boss of this game (Tragedy) really reminds me of the final boss fight from pq2 (Nagi) with the movie tapes flying around. I guess its because both games are about being in a theater and influencing the movies story
