I think we can all agree that "if you stay" needs justice For the fact that these guys are still alive and this song was never released, it bothers me a lot, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one I've been searching for a clearer version of this song for almost a decade now This message must reach out to Jonathan Cain, Neil Schon & John Waite It's fair to say that this song belongs to the same category as... When I see you smile The time alone with you The price of love
@Real Easy BBQ The producer is a bloody idiot then... 😫 This could have been a fantastic 3rd album, or at least released as a "leftover tracks" but with proper sound. I only wish this could be available somewhere with original studio sound quality...
When Journey imploded Schon and Cain should’ve prioritized a re-recording of these tracks as a cadeau to all the hardcore fans of the AOR genre (myself included ). It saddens me that I didn’t mentioned it when we talked briefly with JSS in Copenhagen many years ago 🎸
If You Stay is classic Waite. Sounds a bit like The Price of Love. How did this never make a record. What an amazing song with amazing vocals. I would guess it was written by Waite and Cain.
Love Burns has some amazing hooks and turns, you can't hold on and you can't let go. Would have been nice to hear a really polished version. Don't think the song should stay on the scrapheap.
Good stuff! Wow--What happened to Dean, though! He's had two domestic abuse charges with two ex-girlfriends, including rape, along with drug charges. He just got probation, too. At least he seems contrite. Hopefully, he's on the straight and narrow now. He has two kids, also.
Ok so the tracks that are BE demos must be for the 2 released albums because - correct me if I'm wrong - Bad English split before the 2nd album Backlash was even released...there was never a 3rd album in the works.
Because that is what most of them are. Over the years people keep posting this stuff claiming it to be Bad English. Then people who actually have brains and have done research know full well Waite mentioned a good portion of these songs previously. And they were for his solo records not Bad English. Bad English 2 album were the left overs from Bad English 1. The band broke up just prior to part 2 being released. Only a few of the band members did promo for the release of part 2. Rockline was fantastic at documenting this at the time. The episode where they discussed getting together for part 1 was one of the best ever. Sadly Rockline is no longer around nor is Bob Coburn who hosted it.
