I’m a 15 year old from South Carolina that really loves being apart of the fish keeping hobby. I learned a lot for your channel on how to breed fish. I currently breed platys. I just want to say thank you because you’re one of my favorite channels here on RU-vid and you really inspire me. Every time I see your channel come cross phone, I get really excited to watch your videos.
Yep...this industry still ships like it is 1955. Let's all make sure that when any of us ship, we do it right and raise shipping expectations so the industry is forced to catch up.
I’m glad that you lived to fight another day(wish that could be said of all the fish) and your building a ton of character 🙂. We’re all pulling for you. Have a really good Easter with that family of yours🐣!
Hi , although it wasnt great there looked to be some really nice fish there.I guess as you go on it will be a learning curve as to which suppliers are the best for you to deal with regarding the quality and the way they ship the fish to you.Hope most survived for you after the late night you put in.Certainlyn opens ordinary hobbyists eyes to what it takes to run a store. We have the easy enjoyable part.Turn up at the store and buy some beautiful fish.Good luck and more unboxings please.👍👍👍
Wow that’s super frustrating. Thanks for sharing and letting the casual fish keeper understand the struggles of pet store ownership. Keep the videos coming can’t wait to order some fish when the weather gets a little warmer.
Hey Fish Boy love the channel. One question on your fish room what is the plant substrate you are using. Got some valisineria and I want it to flourish like yours
In other videos I have seen people caution about heat packs touching the bags...in this video I see a lot of them touching the bags. Is that due to the original shipping or re-shuffling before the video? Good video and the fish are lucky to have you help them out. :)
In Canada, a lot of the suppliers, and big box stores always get Cory's shipped that small, unfortunately. It's such a pain because it's really tough to find them a bigger size. Plus, they're more fragile, so die easily. Love the snow white guppies, btw.
Thank you for showing a side of the hobby that people don't see or know about. It shows the long hours, the brick walls, the dead ends and hurdles involved in bringing decent pet fish to our home aquariums. I also must say that I prefer the smaller, younger fish so they can grow up & have a long, healthy life under my care. Thanks for sharing.
We are a Freshwater LFS located (IN FL) - Nautilus is the worst. Hands down... I am so sorry for your losses, And for the disappointment, I know you felt when unboxing from them.
Great video and this video reminds me of CORY that's how also started also I REALLY hope that you also have the same luck as him and your store do very good GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND
Wow! Awful shipment... Hope you don't have to order from them again. It takes time to find out which wholesalers will work out best for you. Good luck!
I am sorry you are having so many problems. I had two orders of fish come in this weekend for my tanks at home and one fish was already done so I just took him out right away. The second shipment was a total joke with fish missing and wrong fish. Needless to say it’s back to going to the store and looking at everything myself. Most of the fish suppliers are out of fish from the demand being so high from everyone buying tanks for home from Covid. I will not be ordering online any longer. 😟
I have nautilus as a supplier aswell and just got my initial order in. Wasn’t very impressed with how they shipped things. Expensive fish dead. Careless way of shipping. But I will try one more time because quite a few of their fish were really nice like the cichlids and the bettas.
Beautiful store! Good luck with it. Couple of questions; 1. Do you get a credit from the wholesaler for the DOA fish? 2. Don't corydoras release some kind of toxin into the water when under stress? I thought I read that somewhere. If true, that could be why so many of them died.
I felt sorry for some of your lost but im glad most of them survive in your store u dont deserve bad ship of fish i hope the company learns this to treat the animals fairly there not toys lol there live creatures
Can anybody in the fish hobby for awhile help me out here? About ten years ago I had a long brackish water tank. It had a dragon goby, a school of bumblebees, and tons of ghost shrimp. But, I also remember I had 4 little guys in there that looked like rays. They buried themselves in the sand up to their eyes and stuck themselves to the side of the glass every now and then. They were no bigger than silver dollars. They were not butterfly loaches. I can't find a single thing on them today or what they could have been. They were brackish fish. Looked exactly like small rays. Was I sold really small freshwater rays or does something like this actually exist, because I can't find any info on it. I was told they got no bigger than how they were sold to me, and they didn't. I swear they were tiny rays, but google is telling me I'm crazy.
looks like he skimped on the water to save weight so he could screw you on shipping costs. You should verify the weight of each box vs what the charged you and never do business with him again.
