The Whittaker family is a trip. They were recorded on a channel called Soft White Underbelly probably one of the best youtube channels besides frankenstein's lab of course. That channel will blow your mind if you haven't seen the interviews that guy does and the people he interviewed.

I actually met a Vietnamese lady (I think she was Vietnamese, it was a while back) in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. I was living in Asheville at the time and went on a day trip to this gorgeous place called Max Patch. Near Max Patch, there was a little store owned and operated by an Asian lady who had lived there for decades. She was brought to North Carolina by her husband who was from the little mountain town they lived in, and he taught her to speak English. Her accent was wild, it was the most unbelievable mix of Vietnamese and Appalachian hillbilly. I can’t believe I forgot about that until now. If any of you ever visit Max Patch, stop by her store, she’s wonderful.
