Hello folks, since a lot of you were asking for a tutorial, I did a walk through video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hWf2dK9hjfc.html Hope you like it.😄
hello i am a begiiner and wonder if i can do it like you do to record a arp to a pads diffrently sound and can play tham at the same time like you did in the video with keylab essentials ? i couıldnt find how to do it anywhere
Oh my gosh this is exactly what I want to learn how to do. I am lost at how to use Ableton and the Keylab Essential. Any chance you would do a quick walk through on how to setup?
congrats, sounds dope 🔥 could i ask how you managed to get the pads to trigger recording on clips? so far i'm recording loops using a foot switch, but i'd like to use the pads. the keylab's midi map is set DAW mode, yet the pads still play notes instead of clips in Ableton. any help would be appreciated 🤟
In Ableton select keylab as the control surface, and make sure to choose the daw midi port. Also a few youtube tutorials are out there so you might also want to check them out.
I decided against Ableton...tried it...but just couldn't get used to it. Counter-intuitive for me... So got Logic Pro and happy with it so far....hoping the update will make it much better.
if you mean semi tone transposing, hold down the "trans" button and press any key adjacent to middle C. The interval between the key you pressed and middles C corresponds to semi tones transposed.
Hi hope you can help me, how do you arm every next track without clicking in the arm button on the software, when i hit a pad in my keylab essential it just plays clips but it doesnt records unless I arm the track manually it manually
@@JJJB Thanks man! I just found about this, this isn't a default option, I had to create an options.txt file in the preference folder with a code to enable arm on selection. This should definitely be a default option!
@@JJJB thanks, it looks like many have asked about your setup. Hopefully you can give us a quick 5 min run through please as i have not found details in RU-vid how to set it up like you. Thanking you
@@xntricity6446 Thanks for you interest dude. I‘m in the mood for that vid. Since I'm currently on travel I'll put it up soon as I'm back to studio and you could expect that possibly within this month. Cheers.
@@JJJB fantastic! I think it will get alot of interest as curently RU-vid videos dont properly explore the interaction between keylab and ableton. It will definatly be a RU-vid hit. Thanks man
