OOOOOOOO! Pan Chaos Trial! So the game thinks that the best way to do the Money Build is with a Focus on Posiedon and Hera. Not the Gods I typically associate with money, especially not with the Aspect of Pan. (Nature, The Sea, and Marriage doesn't usually Equal Gold to me) but it was a really really cool Chaos Trial nonetheless. Favorite Aspect with some of my favorite Boons! Very Glad my favorite Aspect got a good run, unstopped by Lag or Fear! Nice! Ah, the Sprint run, Hephestus Sprint, like many of his boons (minus his Mana Gain, which is just bad) is so good. But it definitely didn't sink up with the Arachne Challenge at all 😅. Still, you got to the end, even if it was a very hard fought victory. We take those W's. Good Luck with your next Run. I would also like a rerun for the Aspect of Moros Wands, but I understand that it's usually the weakest between the three wands. Unfortunately. Together we Shine!
That's right! Pan Trial x2 and no lag or high Fear! I think Poseidon's boons with the loot and minor finds have been rather appropriate, but Hera is weird ^ I realize the Gold thematic works with the Troves of the Underworld, alas no money boons from Hades. Hang on, why isn't their riches boons from the Underworld Ruler? Perhaps stripped from wealth, makes sense. Might be the best Sprint boon if going offensively ^ I know there's Zeus and perhaps Poseidon. But Hephaestus seems like a good hit and run. I need to commit the Arachne Challenge at some point haha. We take those W's! I would like Moros Wands too! Interesting! I figured the Eos wands was weak, perhaps my assessment was wrong. Wands and Eos did get a buff so that might have changed. But definitely want to try Moros again, especially if it's weak (poor thing). Together we Shine!
I love Hera she is the ultimate mean girl, the Regina George of Hades II and I am so here for it. Plus seeing that build when you fhought Polyphemus, just one word : wonderful. That's why I like chaos trials, they show you fun builds to do and then one can copy them :D Also when I saw the plasma for the first time I thought that Chaos had layed an egg at this point they are the closest thing that there is to a chicken in this game, I mean they litteraly give you an EGG. And Selene she kinda carried a little this time, honestly glad to see you there Selene. Finally getting back to us after all the bullying that she gets for her spells X) She even visited you in the end to say hi. Sprint build S+ tier.
Hera is very mean, and VA delivers her lines immaculately well! Chaos Trials are a treat when they're set up like that! Never would I have had a legit money build as such. I have another word myself: S-sugoi~ LOL Chaos has given an egg before. Aw, Selene does get bullied. She deserves better since she's taken over the god calls. At least she got a buff I'd say ^
I think the conversation between Selene and Hecate was more an allusion to Mel herself. A hint about the surface if you had yet to go before that conversation, and then a confirmation of the power you have in making a difference if you have. That’s just the impressionni got, with the nature of the queued conversations in this game
That's true, the dialogue system could be expending its remaining interactions. Ig I didn't expect Selene to be that close, so it sounded like a big deal. I still stand that something big is coming. But this one does seem to just be introductory to the Surface ^

Ya, I never felt they were great in Hades 1, don't think I'm going to think it's legit now. But if it's spoon-fed to me like this specific Chaos Trial, it's fun! Ooh, I misread the Infusion. It constantly upgrades common boons! I thought it was a one time thing, sugoi! I'm beginning to like Hera cast a bit more, but still quite niche. Definitely get it mostly for the extra +3 imo. Zag was able to coax Skelly many times, I think it's over for our brave Commander when Zag returns. Right! Aphrodite is quite ancient. Her being close to the generation of the Titans sounds fire. I'm just glad we got some opinions of the Golden Age. LOL, Chronos needs to learn how to wait. I feel I encountered a similar room like that in another run, it may just be one of those rooms that don't spawn any more mobs, but there's an unfair number just waiting for you. Gold sand it is ^ Oof* I'm sure there's debates already between the two Arms. Honestly, Hades 2 may have the advantage with their omega attacks but requires magick. But ig we don't count the Sorceress time slow Arcana. Infernal Arms don't require Magick and Nocturnal Arms is held back by the Wands lmao. Infernal Arms has great weapon all around, but I think Nocturnal Arm's Blades is the best weapon of them all.
@@Hamstir4 For Hera's infusion, I'm making an assumption that it's a constant thing, because I feel if it weren't it would be too weak for being an infusion.

It won't surprise me if the last region of the surface is litterally Chronos war-camp with a final boss directly at Olympus outer gate. Who could be the final boss ? Maybe a creature strong enough to shatter walls or the gate, in any case something "special" enough to force the gods to call us. It's also the best way to play along the line of "his army always come back but still need time to come back on the field" -> respite for Olympus. Also, with Melinoe out in the open and an entire army around her, you can easily explain her return to the Crossroad with the simple idea of "the confusion is gone and Satyrs Archer launch multiple volley / catapult shot incoming / ... to conviniently send the player back to base without her having time to say hello inside Olympus.
The name of the other ingredient that is needed to stop Chronos completely, and this being an utter threat that requires even the Gods to ask for help. I wouldn't be surprised if the enemy we have to stop at Olympus is Typhon.
I'm so down for the idea of Melinoe breaking in Olympus to end the stalemate. It's just odd we haven't gotten details what exactly is causing trouble for the gods? Surely the undead isn't that big of a deal? Perhaps they really are too much to handle 24/7. The way Chronos is phrasing his plan is inevitable tells me the big threat isn't here yet. If the threat was already on Olympus, I feel they would've kept Heracles with them. Tho who am I to question Athena's decisions. I do think it's coming tho ^ I don't know if it's a titan, some amalgamated mythical monster. But for Hermes to shout, "Something something really bad", perhaps it already is here! but Blood and Darkness, we'll just have to wait.. My guess, the final boss on Olympus triggers after maybe 15-20 wins on Chronos? Similar to how it appeared to keep track of 10 victories. (speaking for the full game)

I'm not sure myself. My guess they wanted Poseidon to be that single uncle that's more free spirited compared to his brothers. He's the least mature in this Hadesverse.
1:14:23 This got me thinking. What if that incantation doesn't kill Chronos permanently like we thought it did but instead allows us to trap him again. Like Homer says, if we truly killed time that would have disastrous consequences. I think we'll just stop him from coming back and scatter him throughout Tartarus again or maybe give him what he wants and stick him on Olympus where everyone can see him,
It is quite the inquiry since Chronie can't die and killing him would result time to stop. and only Chaos appeared to have noticed the disruptive effects. What would Chronos even want that is acceptable? He wants to burn Olympus, the Fates gone, and rule again. If we allow him a place on Olympus, I don't think there's enough checks on him imo, seeing he just time-outed every member of the House, even Dusa! We may need to learn more of Chronos still, but it's difficult to compromise with someone who wants people gone. Chopping him up to bits makes the most sense, but then then story would just be a repeat and feels we learned nothing. Because slaying Chronos and returning things back the way things were would reinforce the Olympians thinking that they were right. But they were not as many mortals were harmed under their rule. So, I wonder what the writers have in mind?

I would've lost my 5 bucks too. I knew she was old, but not as old to have had thoughts of Chronos's Golden Age. I believe there's a dialogue where Aphrodite stated she never participated in a war, but I'll have to double check. I'll edit when I confirm. I'm sure we can coax it out of Chronos if we have Aprhodite boons. He may have a comment.
I feel like - with Aphrodite (and maybe some others) - it would be very hard to talk about every different epithet she has (I mean, she was once a war goddess, so "never participating in a war" seems a bit incongruous with that). I think what Supergiant did was just roll all her most famous epithets into a general "amalgam" of what Aphrodite represents. I.e. I think she's kind of both Aphrodite Urania *and* Aphrodite Pandemos (and maybe some others) at the same time.
@@TheSlumberingSanctuary yea the amalgam-y things to seems to be what they’re doing, but you could make a case about this being Aphrodite Areia since she literally has weapons and Ares’ war paint from the first game but our bet was specifically about her origin, you know, born of Zeus vs born of Uranus

I remembered wrong, he ruled over the Isle of the Blessed, which is basically Super Elysium where heroes who were reincarnated three times and judged worthy of Elysium three times can enter, a paradise without winter.
@@PeteQuaint Huh, I guess that might've been the true meaning of the Golden Age. Perhaps a compromise could be Chronos ruling his segregated part of the Underworld. Strange how he had reigned over Super Elysium? But perhaps his pieces had enough influence.

I would like to see more Helios dialogue, but I only got to see the one mention from Selene much later on. I suppose Apollo has less emphasis of the sun in this Hades-verse?
