I'm a long way from 15 and it's great to read this, a. Chart songs don't seem to have the feeling of a bunch of people really playing and singing together now. Doesn't mean the charts are wrong - but I miss that group-feeling and the big tune. All best, and mind how you go.
I loved this song... Buster had the ability to whack out a noise, and then sing something sensitively... and he did oh so much for charity... what a lovely man.xx we love him
Love this track so much, pure nostalgia, like a time machine straight back to the eighties.,many happy crazy memories from an era fueled with so much fantastic music..peace to you all.......SKINS.....ENGLAND.....strictly SHARPS...
this is what music is all a about, bad manners didn't care about what they looked like or what they did, they just went out and made good tunes and had a great time doing it
Seen badmanners loads of times good times still love all the all ska & skinhead stuff & my scooter. Sometimes wish I could turn back the clock of time..
All i can imagine is...Spraying the fruit trees in that outfit, is all,.fantastic and totally uplifting, ageless and totally un inhibited video. I am quite amazed how timeless such a tune has become, when, at the time it seemed so tacky and over the top when compared to the police and others in the eighties. Thank you so much BBloodvessel, you have left something behind for when you pop your mortal clogs for us all to remember you by. Tour kent soon please, 2016 would be nice, april onward, i'll be there
saw these folks in Norwich UK in 1982... great show, quite a rowdy crowd, seems like the crowd tore the place up but everyone had a great time! Great show!!
i had the pleasure of meeting buster and the band some yrs ago great guys down to earth a night i wont forget in a hurry..great live band this video does them no justice
I met Buster in Glasgow before his weight loss...... A giant of a man in personality and humbleness........ Total gent........ Long live the manners...........
I'm 15 yrs old and a true little skinhead i've love wearing my DM'S , my crombie, my harrington covered in badges , my ben sherman and listening to music like this while todays music is mainly computerized and doesn't really have a soul in it.
I saw them in south London... Buster Blood vessel, Top Form great concert.. Danced the night away, I still have the L.P. Lorraine Lorraine, she took everything
so true what you say wish the youth of today could take some of what we learnt from these bands and not go round bringing so much misery to peoples lives with the violence that is going on in the uk at the moment love ska and always will peace be with you all.
nice one buster , it don't seem that long ago that i was getting ready for a night out on the town listening to this track , if only you could turn the clock bk lol
Wet winter left me cold and crying, Beaten black and blue, Someone said there's no harm in trying, Nothing else to do. I'm just a-walking in the sunshine, Leave your troubles all behind you, I think I'll drink a little red wine, I'll take you where they'll never find you. Sad songs, well I've heard to many, Words that didn't rhyme, Long years never had a penny, But we spend the time.
Gotta add that i met Douglas at a Glasgow gig and the big man was top....... A true gent and signed ma wifes birthday card whiched saved ma bacon when i got home........ Soz dear...... NB11
Skanktastic - Bad Manners always turned out skank friendly tunes, with a great brass section, never took themselves too seriously, not political, just good old tunes to make you feel happy.
It's a super super tune, much underrated band in my opinion. As teenagers this was as good as it got. With your DM (what are they now £100), skinny denim trousers and harrington jacket.
the song actually peaked in the UK Charts at number 10 on W/E 17/10/81, the song at number 1 that week was "it's my party! by Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin.
