Hut took the Hills Bros Coffee sponsorship with him from Junie Donlaveys team, towards the end of 01, and went to Bill David Racing for what was supposed to be a full time season in 2002. They ran Atlanta in 01 to get some team chemistry cooking before 2002. 02 was punctuated by accidents and mechanical failures and after the 2nd Bristol race (Sharpie 500), Hut was replaced in favor of Kenny Wallace.
