BAD NEWS For Hailie Deegan! It's ALL OVER!
Hailie Deegan's performance has been terrible recently, and with a new contender against her, one can’t help but wonder, is this the end of the road for Deegan? Were the expectations placed on her too heavy, and does her recent decision signal an impending departure from NASCAR?
Hailie Deegan undeniably remains one of the sport's most amazing talents, a status that still holds true for many, however, since her entry into the NASCAR truck series, she's had to confront a unique challenge: being a female and a minority in a male-dominated domain and, don’t get me wrong, it's not that female drivers inherently perform worse, but the weight of expectation and the need to prove oneself in this arena is notably heavier than for the average male athlete in NASCAR. This is a reality I don't endorse or agree with, but it's the world we live in and as she commenced her first season with David Gilliland Racing, it was evident that our expectations weren't elevated solely because of her gender and minority status in the sport. She exhibited genuine speed and managed to maximize the potential of an underperforming truck, one not renowned for consistent track success and when you consider her current record of three top-10 finishes in two years with DGR, it doesn't seem like a bad outcome, especially after two seasons with the team, which has now rebranded as Tricon Garage. Hailie Deegan has been terrible since the K&N West series. Even there, her on-track childish/stupid conduct angered Toyota/TRD and they dropped her from their racing program. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity. She's botched that too.

Breidinger would "smoke" Deegan in a race. Breidinger had 19 wins in the USAC series. Deegan is a dud in all motorsports racing, not just NASCAR. The stats/facts don't lie but her SIMPS damn sure do.

@@traveler142 exactly. They talk about how they think she should just give up as she’s garbage, yet she’s a good mid pack driver. By extension, the 15 or so drivers finishing behind her every week should just pack it in as well. There was a race a few weeks back where Matt Crafton and her raced within 2 positions half the race, and finished 2 or 3 spots apart. I don’t think he’s ready to throw in the towel???

Danica Patrick became the most successful female racecar driver in auto racing history. Only female driver to ever win an Indy Cars race and on the podium 7 times. Only female driver to win a Daytona 500 pole position. Only female driver to lead a Daytona 500 and an Indy 500. Indy cars, she led 124 laps. NASCAR, she led 133 laps. She also did better in NASCAR than the previous 118 female drivers since 1949. None better since her either.

That's BS. She won in Japan because of fuel management. Her weight was an advantage. She was a terrible model for young girls, bitching at young girls who asked for autographs.

@@jackharle1251Your ignorance is obvious because you're wrong. Indy cars weight: 1,590 lb (721 kg) including driver, fuel and all lubricants and coolants. Fuel management is a big factor in an Indy cars race. Danica did better at it than Helio did in that Japan IRL race. She had already passed him before he began having a fuel problem. FYI, she was on the IRL podium 7 times and led 124 laps. Only female driver to do so. DO NOT pretend to know things that you don't, PUTZ.

Danica has been given more negatives then she deserves. I didn't like her workout routine prioritizing Yoga(I call it Yogurt) as to more strength & endurance training but she was a very good driver. I wanted to see her accept an Endurance Prototype or GT driving spot(road racing). NASCAR is getting to much like 'bumper car' driving & one driver getting paybacks from a few races earlier by wreaking a rival. That's not racing, plus the spec regs. & 3 stage format.🤦‍♂

I think Rahul steered her wrong when she pitted to replaace the nose on her car She went to the lead with ease. I think she should have tucked in at second and drafted till the white flag. She was the class of tthe field that day.

@jameshunt649, Shawna Robinson won a big leagues NASCAR race in 1988. First female driver to do so. That NASCAR specific series no longer exists, though. Since 1949, 119 female drivers have yet to win a NASCAR Cup series race. Danica won the 2013 Daytona 500 pole position. She also led 133 laps in NASCAR. First female to do that. BTW, you spelled Hailie's name wrong. Danica was the only female driver to lead a Daytona 500 and an Indy 500. "Failie" Deegan is a dud in all motorsports racing. The stats/facts don't lie.

@@aakar88 I've forgotten more about auto racing than you'll ever know, PUTZ. BTW, back in the 70's I won several NHRA races and also had a NHRA AA/FC car that won several races as well. That car is now at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL. I/we sold it to Jungle Jim Liberman in 1974. WTF have you ever accomplished in pro-level motorsports racing? I'm guessing NOTHING. 🖕

@@sergeantmasson3669 Okay, good reply, now we are getting somewhere.: You were winning or owning NHRA machines in the '70's, have to assume at least you were in your '20's? Lets say you were 25 in 1975 (for the sake of the breakdown), that would make you 74 today. Deegan is 20, you could EASILY be her GREAT GRANDFATHER, who should be cheering for his great granddaughter and be proud of her for obtaining the skills to reach NASCAR level racing and accumulate a nice fortune based on her driving and videography skills? I have personally researched with Big the Masson name in all motorsports, he does not have your car in Ocala, maybe you remember the wrong museum? We DO NOT remember Jungle EVER purchasing someone else's cars , he was a legend for building and designing his own. Nitro cars have so much parts attrition, they are never sold as complete cars anyway. Why NOT cut DEEGAN a bit of slack? She advances to Xfinity, maybe she will not be good, but what if she is? You would look like a fool. If she does not do well, she will not advance, but got to give her credit for trying? The worst NASCAR drivers out there STILL have more driving skills and experience than you!
