I just found your channel yesterday and watching this now. I nearly cried seeing the fear and hurt in your daughter's eyes after getting that news. I also get where she was coming from at the time this was filmed. I've had to have shunt surgeries for my hydrocephalus as baby and I can imagine it was hard on my mom to see me go through surgeries like that in a way that was similar for your daughter in this video. While I'm thankful that my shunt surgeries were over with after my first year of life, I know of so many more people in my life where that wasn't the case for them and yeah, it's scary. I've also gone through other surgeries related to my Spina Bifida that I do remember and have felt scared going into myself. I just have to trust that all will be well, whether the surgery goes the way I hoped it would or not. I hope that this comment finds you in much better place physically now than you were when filming this. ❤👩🏻‍🦽

You have a beautiful & strong daughter mum :) A Syrinx(s) can be a problematic thing to resolve. It can resolve quickly OR slowly over time.:) The surgeon may need to do a thing called a shunt revision I have an Arnold-Chiiarii type 2 malformation, I am lucky that I do not have a syrinx. My brain is messed up. :) 🤷‍♂ I had my operation in 1990, still here!

You help a lot of people with your story!

Thank the lord it can be fixed. Chronic health issue’s stink sometimes. But always grateful for those things that can be treated and repaired. While I don’t have your exact issue’s I struggle w full body CRPS and jak2PV(a genetic mutation that’s a blood cancer) I’m in a wheel chair part time but fight to keep walking because if I don’t well it’s not good. What do we do we cry for a few, sit strong 💪 and keep fighting. You’ve got this. I hope I didn’t sound cheesy.
