I would like to hear him unplugged…without using voice processors, and possibly auto tune… to see how much it is raw talent versus electronic wand waving… are there any recordings like this? I’m sure he is an awesome voice but on those parts where he’s singing a little bit higher, it’s pretty clear that there are some kind of processing happening.
Their sound engineer for this tour killed it. If any critiques, they need to cut back the tuning on Noah’s voice just a tad. Although it might be a choice for the style
@amkren4158 it's probably a stylistic choice and that's ok. It would be cool if they reduce the tuning a bit though, as a way of saying "Noah doesn't need the tuning to kill it on stage!"
I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to heavy metal bands, but i've become a huge fan of Bad Omens because of their newest album. Noah's voice is incredibly unique, and his screams are probably the best i've ever heard. They have so much passion and ferociousness behind it, but I can still manage to understand every word.. which is not something i've been good at with most bands that scream. This song and Concrete Jungle are my top favorites.
I didn't know who they were when I saw them open for Spiritbox and Underoath. Instantly became a fan. It's been awhile since I saw a band play live as tight and with such an impressive vocal range as Noah's.
I've been around a long time.. played forever in many bands signed a record deal finally at 53.blah whatever. Noah is probably the best rock singer I've ever heard.. simply amazing ❤
Dude sounds really great live , I see them more as a gateway band to metal, but one of the better ones. Hope they become big and bring great deal of rock and metal fans, so the legacy can continue.
Their older stuff is much heavier but they’ve always kinda been a band that experimented with different sounds. Which they do extremely well in my eyes. I mean who wouldn’t with an unreal vocalist like Noah.
Man over their career noah has tried (and succeeded really well) at emulating different vocalists. Oli Sykes, Nick Matthews, etc. and now he’s totally found his own voice. With his talent I’d experiment with different sounds and vibes all the time like they do now. He’s got such a gift.
@@BRETTLYBOOSTfew times you find a voice so dynamic such as Noah's. I'd dare to say he's up there with Chester Bennington in terms of range and vocal flexibility.
Where Stan from American Dad was mesmerized by My Morning Jacket, this was absolutely my version of that and more when I first heard “What It Cost” on this video. And multiple times after…
i could listen to them for hours and this video is pure proof ,how much they love performing, creating music, they are just so chill, but sound is amazing, you can truly see they are doing in from heart Can't wait to see them on monday 20.2.
I was at this concert I was looking forward to it for months. I remember the start of this song then I almost passed out due to dehydration. The show it’s fuzzy in my mind now. But now I can at least rewatch it a bit 🫠
Fk! im always behind the board when mixing a band and im missing momemnts like these...goosebumps! gosh A sound like that live, it is an art to mix those tracks with the band especially live...both band and especially engineers deserve a nobel prize just like opeth and devin townsend......i bet it must be an experience! thanks for the upload bro! cheers from the tiny red dot
So sad that I missed this show. Was supposed to be on vaca and by the time it got cancelled, the show was sold out. Saw them open for INK last year and was blown away.
can definitely see why you say that kpop idol analogy LOL. to me, he kinda does now that you said it! well noah is half japanese, also he’s had long hair for most his life but he cut it quite a while ago now hence the haircut. :D as for their album, TDOPOM, noah has mentioned before in interviews how he wanted to try something new for their music. he says he got inspired by other artists like The Weeknd which explains the usage of falsetto in his singing. :)
I'M DEAD LOVE clean vocals in metal. I hate full growl song from start to finish. growl/scream 70% clean 30% or the other way. Clean gives wider ambiance and it just sounds better.
For me, I have bands I enjoy more than Bad Omens, or even like their vocals more than Noahs, but no denying NOAH would out do them all live. He'd have some serious competition with will Ramos & Sleep Token though. Danny of AA when he's taking care of his voice and doesn't do screams, actually sounds pretty damn good too. but we all know how hit or miss Danny can be with his life/vocals.
