Interesting note that im not sure if you picked up on based on your reaction in the video. You don't leave after talking to the doll at the end of the game to go haunt your dad, that is you at the beginning trying to save him from Mr Red Face, but you are in fact the punishment he was asking to stop. Thats also why you find the motel card in the textureless room with him.
Just realized that at the end, there’s you in the closet, another kid in the back trunk of a car, a kid sitting in a fireplace, and another kid crawling out of a grave. That’s the way you all died.
yeah, all of the kids including Ron are real. You can find their stories online, i forgot their names though. But yeah. Thats how they died, all killed by their parents. Its very interesting, as well as really sad.

some interesting things about the game is that in the end , all the kids are in the places they died/were hidden or ridden of . and in the start , the amount of time the door opens is 14 , since that’s as many days it took until his mom found the kid .
(about the first one) maybe the other kids had to go through their respective "burial" areas to go to different dimensions, like how the player goes through a closet, which is where he died?

Spoilers in this comment. Watch the video first. I love how the game very subtly foreshadows that you actually got k1lled by your alcoholic father. “Red face” - alcohol makes your face red. “Loose neck on the doll” - your father str4ngled you. “Closet brings you to another dimension” - you got stuffed in The closet when you died. The scene where they move the alcohol bottle - The dad getting drunk. “Dad has been taken away” - your father fled to a motel after k1lling you. The kids were hiding in places where they died. Your mother finding you hiding in the closet - your mother finding your corpse. It’s genius, and the story is amazing (ironically)
My believes: The door opened 14 times at the start because that's how long he was dead, and if he didn't realize it would be 15 tomorrow. Ron threw the spell card in when his mom/mum was talking to the cops
I like how you reuse your older intros, instead of making new ones. It might seem lazy (not meaning that as hate), but I like the very slight whiplash/nostalgia of "Why do I remember this?" before I realize lol

28:08 this resembles how the kids died.. the one in the car probably got trapped and starved? The one in the fire burned, Ron got his neck snapped by his dad and he got put in the closet, the one in the hole got barried alive (this is not canon but its what i think happened.)
I think it's more about what happened after they died. One was buried, one was burned, one was put into a trunk (maybe to be thrown at a dump), and one was put in the closet.
Theyre all based off of true stories. You got most of them right. The one in the trunk though. That child was murdered by their parent, their dying corpse was thrown into the bed of a truck.
I realized the children at the end also got murdered by her parents: one got burned, one got killed in a pit, the baby got killed in the trunk of a car, and now Ron joined them.
One thing that's totally not important but I wanna mention anyway. There are many very healthy couples out there who sleep in separate beds. Everyone has different sleeping preferences and if one or both partners are unable to get a restful sleep because of temperature, movement, noise, medical equipment, etc., it can actually help the relationship a LOT if they sleep in separate beds or even separate rooms. Couples report having more restful sleep and waking up less irritable or stressed. So, yeah. The parents in this game sleeping separately is supposed to be a "hint" at problems, but in real life it's not solely indicative of that.
Yeah when I first saw the separate beds I was like "erm yeah that's not very surprising becauseeee bad relationship" but I think it's a nice reminder that partners sleeping in separate beds doesn't always mean something like that Especially since I'd probably end up sleeping in a separate bed too (as much as I love my boyfriend)😭 cuz it gets way too hot when I sleep
4:52 This foreshadowed the son's death very early ingame, aswell as this 13:43, where the son didn't know he was dead while saying the same thing (25:19), this game is crazy with the story and connecting the dots
Hey YuB you should check out Endoparasitic. This isn’t really related to Bad Parenting but I don’t really have anything to say about Bad Parenting that hasn’t already been said (it’s a really good game, story’s phenomenal, etc) You play as this scientist dude who had both his legs and an arm ripped off so you have to crawl around on one arm with a bunch of guns and try to make your way off the lab you’re on. It recently got a sequel that also seems pretty good, probably better. It honestly feels a little like a rage game sometimes because of how unforgiving the inventory management can be at times. You run out of rounds like right before a big boss thing usually lol
for the part where you meet those kids in the afterlife their environment is based off how they died, one got burned alive, one buried alive, and one suffocated in the back of a truck
The first time I tried to watch someone play this, I didn’t even get 3 minutes in before I had to stop watching because of trauma flashbacks. But I was somehow able to watch this entire video thanks to YuB’s sense of humor and how he didn’t try to take it too seriously like some other RU-vidrs. Thank you so much YuB :)
The part where the doll says that his neck being on loose (which is also foreshadowing) is just a"minor feels compared to the other dolls" implies that the father has done this before to other kids Also, when Ron was with the other kids at the end he was Ina closet, such is where his corpse was/near where he was killed. The other kids were in a fire, the trunk of a car, and a hole. This means that the other kids corpses were put there or died that way (burnt, kidnapped, buried alive)
I noticed that at the end all the kids where in spesific spots because thats how they died/where their body was left, because if Ron is in the afterlife theyre all dead too, and at the end Ron is seen sitting in a closet in his friend circle, just like he was when his body was discovered.

Out of all the things I’ve ever played. This is the most depressing one I’ve ever seen. Small not so fun fact: if you look at the car fire the hole in the closet at the end, it shows the way that they’ve died first the closet shows that the kid that has died and been thrown into the closet second, if you look at the car it will show that there’s a kid in it which I’m guessing the kid was suffocated to death in that car or was killed in the car or left to be forgotten third the fire, which is the worst one I’ve all of them I’m guessing is that the child was probably picked up and then the throat into the fire to be burned alive to be honest the fire Hass to be the worst one and finally, the buried one where the child was thrown into a hole and then it was filled with dirt and all of these has to be the worst way to die getting killed by your father left in the car being burned alive and being buried are the worst Like I cannot be imagined, being killed like an idiot of these ways, even though a young age and thankfully, he censored the child’s death but still wow most depressing game just depressing like this game is the definition of depressing. I don’t think I’m going to recover from this. :(

27:46 I think the end with the kids shows where or how they died. They probably shared the same story as Ron and did the same thing, making up stories. Ron is in a closet, where he was left. The black haired girl is in a hole, probably where she was buried alive or just buried after she died. The baby looking one is in a truck of an old car, probably got run over, crashed, or left in the truck and, the orange-haired kid is near a fireplace, probably where he was burned or cremated.
the kids at the end said earlier in the gameplay that they were also looking for their parents, yet at the end we see them: in a hole on fire in a truck and of course, ron in the closet, where HIS body was stuffed. this means that a child was either buried alive or died in her grave, one was burnt alive and the other was murdered and stuffed into the back of a car. and we saw ron's cause of death, which is disgusting. this game makes bile crawl into my throat.

Here's a little piece of environmental storytelling that I think you missed Yub. At the end when Ron appears with the other kids, noticed that the closet is there too. The closet was were his body was hidden. Look at the other children with them, if you pay attention, the places the kids are reside on, are the ways their bodies were also hidden/gotten rid of. The little girl on the right buried, the boy on the campfire burnt, the boy on the car trunk well... Hidden in the car trunk. I think it's such a genius way to do storytelling without a full exposition dialogue box. Oh and of course it's not bad to be into messed up stories, as long as the stories handle their subjects with care like this game did, I don't see a problem with that. And no, you're not bad for liking them. You are a really sweet and kind person, so liking stories like these doesn't make you "evil" or anything like that

It’s weird to say, but I look up to YuB I’ve been watching him since I’ve had my own struggles with my parents, he used to help me cope while my parents were going through divorce, my dad was neglectful for a little while and he helped me cope, and now everything’s ok now but he’s still here and comforts me
Fun fact: the children that were near the campfire they all died in different ways and the game was pointing at how they died. The ginger one died in a fire, the girl was like buried alive and the blonde one died in a trunk of a car. So that’s why Ron appeared in a closet at the end of the game, since his body was put in a closet 27:50

I'm surprised Yub didn't catch on at the end when Ron goes to the other kids, the place the kids are chilling, shows where they're all sitting, signaling how they died. Like the kid in the grave, buried alive. Kid on the fire, burned alive. Kid in the trunk, trapped and died. And Ron, got put in a closet after he died.
Yub just wanna say, because you didn't notice, the ending where all the kids were in specific places, there was a reason, the kid in the hole in the ground must of been buried by her mum or dad, the kid in the campfire died in the fire by his mum or dad and the boy in the back of the car died in the there. That's why the kid/Ron was in the closet at the end.. hope this helped !
Yo yub u should play block tales, it’s an amazingly well made Roblox rpg inspired by paper Mario and earthbound. It just received it’s 3rd chapter so it would make a great series for the channel.
sad facts: the door at the start swings open 14 times, which is the same amount of days it took to presume ron de@d. the kids in hell are in the spot's they got unalived, including ron in the end. the reason ron doesn't know he's dead at the start, is because he's too innocent and young to. the doll is actaully made my the mom, because she made it to remember her son by.

Hey yub 3 cool things! The "magic trick" is the movement of how the dad drinks. And the 3 children is how their fates ended aswell. The "loose" neck is also the snapped neck from the father.
1. Dad and Mom had an argument, which led to the mom leaving that night and the dad did him and hid him in the closet. 2. The dad left the house the next day due to guilt / to freed from his crime. 3. The mom came home the next day late as always but didnt't see the dad, so she thought he left due to her threat. 4. Ron's ghost could only be seen at night, which meant everytime she came home, her son was always there, so she didn't realize he was already gone. 5. The doll / Ron's inner self tried to have Ron made peace with what happened, but since the horror was too traumatizing for the child to bear, he just repressed that memories again and again. This is why the mom talked about how Ron talked different stories everyday, but the doll had always been a common factor of them. 6. As a last straw, instead of having Ron experience the horror of what the dad did to him directly, the doll created the Mr. Red Face's version of his dad and made Ron defeat him to save his parents and establish a bit of peace of mind, so hopefully, Ron didn't break and reset once again. This worked and Ron finally realized what happened. 7. At the final day, the mom decided to stay home with Ron. However, when she woke up in the day, she didn't see Ron at the dad's bed ('cause he couldn't appear at day time). She searched for him and found him in the closet. As for the medications, she probably thought of his stories as nothing more than just a child's hallucination, hence the 'I don't know what's wrong with you' dialog. So maybe the pills were to treat hallucinations? 2. to cure his 'sickness'. The mom prepared food for Ron everyday, but since Ron can't eat for obvious reason, the food left untouched (or just a bit), hence 'Lately, I've noticed you've been getting lazy about eating' in the note. Maybe she thought he was sick or something, so she brought medicines for him in hope of improving his eating habit. Also the box that ron found the doll in, in his room represents casket in the end The place that he found the other kids was afterlife, and the condition the kids were in, was from I suppose is how their bodies were taken care of and hence in the end ron was in the closet
I don’t know if you noticed this but at the end of the game you see all the kids those are all the kids that have also died by their parents. The black haired girl-buried. The boy-burnt. The boy with the diaper- I think is in the back of a trunk. And Ron-died in a closet…
The fact that the mom knew that the father was a violent drunk and still left her husband alone with her child while she went sleep with other men is messed up, bro. As long as the "bad parenting" title refers to BOTH of them, then this game is a great work of art.
