This song is about George Bush Sr. quote about the gulf war. They wrote the song because he said we could do no wrong in the gulf war because we had Jesus on our side. This song was made in 93 and the gulf war was 90-91. Anyone who wasn't alive during that time has an excuse for thinking he song is about something it's not. Anyone who was alive though has no excuse for not knowing this.

This song oddly describes JoJo Part 7 perfectly... "We've got the American Jesus, he helped build the President's Estate" and "Only precious few can garner the prosperity, it makes us walk with renewed confidence" describes Funny Valentine's philosophy perfectly... I know JoJo has a *lot* of references inspired by music so it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was a big inspiration for Steel Ball Run.
