When Dolores wrote this song about what was going on in Northern Ireland at the time I don't think she could have known how relevant it would still be 30 years later which is a testament to how much things have changed and yet they haven't but this is just an incredible song and bad wolves did an incredible cover, awesome job guys.
War is war...so yeah, relevant 30 years later in that sense. What occurred in Northern Ireland is remarkedly different than current conflicts. Some historical perspective and respect for particulars, especially for those who lived through the particulars, I think matters.
I saw them live 5-20-2022 Virginia Beach. It was a very moving performance!!!!! I was on my feet screaming the lyrics with them as were the thousands of people in the stadium that night.
I love the original song, but damn... There's just some special energy in this version... Gives me the shivers and I love it 😍😍😍 small edit: the beginning of the video tells me why. What the band did here was amazing and my heart is so touched.
This is currently my anthem!!!!! So relevant and such a banger!!! Gives me a rush in so many directions. Thanks Dolores and thank you Bad Wolves for such an awesome cover. So next level!!
This deserves millions if not billions of views, we need to skyrocket this now with the world in such shambles and corrupt governments destroying livelihoods. What an amazing relevance...and she was right...STILL FIGHTING...same Fing story..
When in recorded history has the story been something different than the "same Fing story"? If every dissenting view, experience and perspective were eliminated for a single accepted perspective, believe system, political system, without disagreement...that'd eliminate the fighting. We could call it a final solution, perhaps. Or is there a certain acceptable level of fighting you have in mind that we should adhere to? These kinds of songs, throughout recorded history, are so important to emphasize the cost of conflict. I like the remake....I wish she would have not ended her life just prior to the planned collaberation.
Beautiful. Emotional. Goosebumps. Sensational. Meaningful. Passionate. And most of all releasing this in memory of Dolores O'Riordan is bloody fantastic 👏 👌 😍 Incredibly inspiring as a band. Love you for what you did.
What a wonderful cover. The passion and energy in the vocals is amazing. A few minor differences between the captioned lyrics and sung lyrics. What a powerful song in any version. Thank you!
Love this song n her the original n the guys new remake love it listen to it almost everyday and look still 2024 we still in,war smh the world will never be same
Hi I m from small hill town from east side of India and this guy put his all emotions in this song and believe me today's world what's going on is we are one but something is dividing us in our mind and we are in the path of deleting the human race but it's bad so,this song tears my heart but in future if I can then I will teach all the people that We all are same don't divide us in colour, race.
Ive heard the song mixed in Facebook reels, RU-vid shorts etc and followed song title and today while having a super depressive episodic day heard the cranberries original, Ran-Ds version and this one is by far the superior cover especially as it was done in tribute to Delores and any proceeds went to support her family......
After listening to the original nearly a decade ago, this version just made my day! Had tears in my eyes and energy in my mind...My heart went nostalgic...
When I hear this song, I can't help but have a huge thought for the Palestinian people massacred by Israel in Gaza and these decades of suffering that have been silenced. So many children who have been deprived of a future for 76 years as if they were nothing 😪🙏💔🇵🇸
A lady whom i have the most admiration for thank you for this song. This feeling i feel everytime i hear this song hell yeah we will break down that wall.. for you
k-damn.. watching and listening this on 22.11.2022., never heard this take on Zombie before, now thinking of Ukraine suffering, he sings "with their drones", I get goose bumps..! if they only knew back then how much the word "drone" will sound even more terrifying in the future then ever before...
and yes, I'm aware that word "drones" also sounded terrifying to the people in the middle east when they were coming from U.S., but this today in Ukraine is just getting on the whole new level of terror.
Not only did they capture the outcry against the political unrest of the original song. They made it the ideal memorial for Dolores O'Riordan. This version of the song is legendary in its own right.
