This kids are not playing in this video there is a sound of another orchestra over this video. I play trumpet myself and there is no way that this little kids on trumpets play so high and they even breathe at the time the music is playing and they are supposed to play and they are not, same with the horns. Sorry but I don’t like people who fake stuf.
Matija Cerovsek I have no connection with this group but do an enormous amount of teaching if this kind. I am convinced this is not fake, they are indeed very good! However, the intonation and articulation is childlike and the sound most certainly not professional. They are a fabulous lot of kids!
My son plays on 1st 2nd trumpet and is at grade 8 standard, as are all of the others in his section! These children practise daily and face a strict and competitive audition to get into the NCO. Sitting it in the audience and watching these talented musicians is a joy and for some cretin to state they are not playing is ridiculous!
As an ex member of this orchestra and principal clarinet in this recording, I can indeed confirm that this is the sound that this orchestra made. I am not in this orchestra anymore and would have no reason to lie on their behalf, but I promise without a doubt that this is the sound that we made.
In terms of breathing during the music is playing, the term used for this is scatter breathing. This meant there could be a continual sound throughout.
