I had tears in my eyes most of the video. I remember my feelings when they made it to the Rose Bowl after they and I waited 31 years. and then to win it!!!
My best moment would be at 9:55 - the first time in history Wisconsin had the lead in a Rose Bowl game. It actually brought tears to my eyes when it happened.
I'm from Madison and one of my guys from work is friends with Brent Moss. We partied a few years ago and he was a fun dude to be around. It's still kind of upsetting how he turned out, but it was a pleasure meeting him and hanging out.
I'm from Racine, Brent's hometown. He was our hero man. That really put a cloud over the town. We all couldn't wait for him to hit the NFL and represent for all of us.
The start of something special right here in 1993-94. Wisconsin still going strong in 2022. I only wish we could take another step so that the team could be this level of good almost every year.
The UW marching band halftime show was awesome. Everyone from California was very impressed. Can you upload the entire performance using the "real" audio recording of them playing and singing?
I was living in Seattle, and had a bet with a SportsRadio personality. He was an Indiana grad, and I told him that Wisconsin would win the Big 10 in 1993, and go to the Rose Bowl. He told me on air that if Wisconsin went to the Rose Bowl, he would buy my airfare to Pasadena. They did, and he did. I flew to Southern California, but did not get to see the game. That was World Cup year, and 10,000 seats were removed. Several thousand Badger fans never got into the game.
oh wow you got screwed over! I recall hearing all over the news about cases of fraud. Many Wisconsinites traveled to see the game, only to find out they had purchased fake tickets or something like that.
UCLA is the team that should be ashamed. 90,000 seat stadium, and most of the "fans" of the Bruins couldn't be bothered to show up for the game, selling their tickets to Wisconsin fans. I guess surf was up.
UCLA outplayed and beat Wisconsin this game everywhere but on the scoreboard. UCLA lost on five unforced turnovers and still had a chance to win at the end but QB Wayne Cook had a brain fart and ran the ball with no timeouts, causing the clock to run out. Wisconsin should be ashamed.
LIONS 67 why ashamed? Here’s a real easy lesson in football. Don’t think you can turn the ball over 5 times, commit a ton of penalties, and have a bunch of mental errors. Wisconsin was in that Rose Bowl for a reason.
