Great work. I just finished installing it on my 2019 Tundra. It was a bit of a pain to relocate the control box since my aftermarket bumper doesn’t spare any room for it. I ended up mount it under the hood as there are lots of room for tundras. Fancy work adding those custom brackets to hold your control box. Mine ended up being held by couple of zip ties.

Nice work! Yeah check my video part 2 I move it to behind the headlight. Zip ties are great but they do get brittle over time so I would recommend you start thinking about something more permanent in the mean time.

I removed the electricals off that factory controller panel. Rewired the remote switch to the inside of the truck, and the the rest of the electricals, I made my own box and mounted it onto a separate bracket that goes to the side of the battery.

How do you like this winch so far? I will be installing one into a dissent bumper as well. Any modifications needed to the bumper? Any bracket needed to support the winch or is the bracket built into the bumper?

So far it's been great. Really happy with it. I used it to drag a dead 80 series off a beach about 400ft and it rocked. Barely got warm. No mods necessary for the bumper but you will have to modify the control box. Check out my part 2 video for the final install.

Quick question. I see you did a nice job of placing the rig into the bumper, but it looks (from the video) like you have no way to get to the tensioning lever without opening the hood. Do you not intend on pulling out the line without opening the hood each time?

Yes I need to open the hood to flip the switch on the control box and also turn on the winch power. I can reach the lever with the hood closed through the hole in the Dissent bumper also.

Nice video. I have a Dissent bumper as well on my 200 and will be installing this winch. Was removing the control box out of the bulky cover difficult. How has the control box stops up this far being exposed or have you found a solution for that. I’m in Colorado also, love to see your rig sometime.

Check out my other video I show where I put the control box. I was able to get it behind the headlight after dissembling it. It was pretty easy.

I really like the fact that the winch can be non integrated. Did it come with the cables for that?

Yes it comes with cables to mount the control box elsewhere. Check out my other video on it I moved it behind the headlight.

I am going to do that as well, however i am a little concerned with blocking air flow to the AC / radiator?? any issues?

I was having some issues with cooling on the hottest of days so I did end up moving my box, check out my new video "Cheap Winch Upgrades" the wires ended up being long enough once the bumper was fully mounted.

mine doesn't work right out of the box. only clicks one time and doesn't move. any idea why?

I would check your electrical connections and make sure they make good contact, that sounds like a poor contact on the battery. Also make sure the small gauge ground wire is hooked up between the controller box and the winch frame.

I am thinking about mounting the control box up near the battery on my 80. Is that box still waterproof with the "Badlands" cider removed?

Yeah the small box under the cover is fully waterproof, no problem to remove it!

@@Turboactive I think I'm going to eliminate the switch and the plug and just run wireless always on. Then I'll eliminate the big plate and just attach the wireless unit to the main unit and screw it into an inner fender or something. With the big battery cutoff, I don't see the need for the wireless switch.

The fairlead bolts to your bumper or truck not to the winch itself. WHat type of truck do you have?

Install was creative. couldn't hear you talk without turning up volume then your crappy music would blow me away TOO Loud . really that's why i give a thumbs down
