This was a great video, it actually made me cry. Alot of history in the badlands not to many people know about it. Alot of ancestors are there, tears in the winds. When the sweet grass grows up and the winds blow it back and forth the ancestors are dancing on it. You can imagine their spirits in the winds.. many blessings for this video. ❤

The bad land were the strong hold for our Ancestors!( My parents would tell us their stories as our bedtime stories!)

As a kid through my late teens we we would drive from Seattle to Lincoln and we always stop at Crazyhorse and go through the badlands. The first time I visited I was 5 , I’m 50 now!😳 I always remember the beautiful colors on the hills, I’ve never seen anything like it since. Such good memories. Thank you for bringing me along with you and your boys. 😊 it is an honor.

Hello from Australia. Found you from Peter Santenello's video with you. I loved they way you showed him around the the history you told. It was nice in this video how you took your kids out, they will appreciate and remember these things. I enjoy the way you tell us about your history and culture. We visited Pine Ridge Rez and the Badlands in June '23. My boys (17, 21, 22) loved it there!! Bless the Lakota people (and the Dinè). ❤

Beautiful land. I love that the bones aren't touched. I feel so sad every time an animal or anyone's ancient relatives are unearthed & put on display.

Seriously. That's why the tribe is keeping it unearthed, archeologist try to make their way on the lands but the tribe keeps a good job on keeping them out.

These kind of videos are my favorites for sure. 🌟 Being out in the crisp, fresh air is super good for the boys too. I can relate to the temp of 40, esp if the Sun is out. We slept in the Badlands years ago. It was beautiful in the morning with the sun on the peaks and a perfectly deep blue sky. (before chemical trails) Sue comes to mind.

Really enjoyed the video a lot. The point of view format worked really well in my opinion, too. As a settler born onto stolen lands in what is known as Canada, I am finding myself quite interested in learning about Indigenous Culture and History and Ways of Life and Ways of Knowing here on Turtle Island. I'm glad to see you share the trip with your prodigy. You are teaching them like ancestors did. Take you kids and show them what you know. Even when they are tired the exercise is good for all you. You are not only teaching us, those boys are listening too.

I know your educating everyone but shouldn’t it be sacred to say where the stronghold is. Because we never know if we’ll have to use those areas again. But dang the Lakotas do have some beautiful land. Also your an awesome twindian father. You took the kids out to run energy out and gave Angel some time alone. My spouse when my twins were that young didn’t do much but always panic .

Love the bad lands! Been there a few times. First time I sat down for a rest and to my right was an arrowhead and on my left a beautiful black and white rock. I left the arrowhead but I took the rock 😊 Wonderful video ❤
