As a riding instructor (in the US) I LOVE watching Cameron teach. She asks so many amazing questions and explains thing brilliantly. I’ve definitely found myself using his words while explaining some things to students. Thank you to you both for sharing!
I'm no instructor but the other day a 15 year old girl wanted to ride her young horse but didn't want to go without me because she had only rode him 3 times and every time he ended up being dangerous. (She only met me that day) 🤭🤭🤭 Cutting a long story short she listened to what I was telling her and understood the explanation of what I was saying. Less than half way through her ride I dropped back so I wasn't leading them anymore and just walked behind them. She was so amazing with him once she understood how to deal with a youngster. I was so proud of her and her pony. Tbh, i have learnt a lot because of Tina and the other girls vlogs. I hope they will be happy that because of their videos they are helping others to work properly with their own ponies. XXX
Thank you Tina for spending a fortune on lessons so we can all learn for free. We all appreciate it more than you know. 🤭🤭 Honestly though, you shouldn't be so critical of yourself, you have done so well lately. You should be so proud of yourself and Sir Banksy is obviously loving his mummy having more confidence and letting him go more. It's so lovely to see. XXX ❤ ❤ ❤
How game is banksy! You did fab as always Tina 😌 honestly these lesson vlogs are becoming my favourite, I adore watching you improve and mature as a rider! I would definitely like to see you push yourself and see how far you both can go through the levels because your more than capable - can’t sing your praises enough well done!!!
Yay!! These are some of my favorite vlogs. Banksy is a force to be reckoned with, I think you guys will do great going up some levels in SJ. I totally understand the pain all the travel for events etc, as an American it can be tough here too😅
Yep, I live in the Midwest and the closest event to me from Mid June to October is a 4 hour drive. Next closest is 7 hours. Makes it really difficult to have a full season!
I love the Cameron lesson vlogs!! I actually learn a lot by just watching. Cameron is such a great teacher! Thank you for sharing your dilemma with goal setting. Now that my horses are older and not competing anymore, I’ve had to adjust my riding and training goals. Sometimes I feel like I need more to strive for more, so I’ve started liberty work with them. It’s so much fun and not too taxing for them.
I adore you and banks as I also have a patchy skewbald who is very similar to him! I also loveee your lessons with cam, he's such a great teacher - pushes you to be better and sometimes some harder truths, but it shows his excellence in his teaching and your friendship. Be proud of your progress, and keep pushing forwards, I can't believe how much you've progressed in a year!!
I know you hear it a lot but you and Banks have come so far this last couple of months. It’s nice to see you enjoying your pony and your time together! Love the Cameron lessons. He’s like an encyclopaedia. So knowledgeable
well done to the both of you Banks absolutely soared over those huge fences and I am sure what ever you decide to do you two will ace it. I just can’t get enough of Cameron’s lessons you can just learn so much from watching them. Also Happy birthday for yesterday 💙
I love lesson vlogs! I actually found your chat about goals very interesting as its something that plays on my mind a lot at the moment; I'm currently taking a couple of years out of owning horses but I'm already thinking about what I want from my next horse as it will make such a difference to my budget and also what I'm looking for, do I want to be competitive at higher levels or am I happy sticking at a lower level and just having fun!? It feels like a huge decision. There's a lot of pressure in the equine world to get there and do well when actually the main focus should be that you're enjoying it and your horse is healthy and happy. Another great lesson, I think Cameron's teaching style suits you perfectly Tina. Xx
You and Banksy look so awesome! He loves his job so much. I wish I could have a horse like him. Give him some carrots and treats and a hug for being such a great boy!
Tina you are such a breath of fresh air and I honestly love watching you and Banksy together❤️ You can tell he really gives it his all to please you and you ride him so well. Whatever goals you have with him, you’ll both excel as you can see you have so much trust and love for each other. Loved this lesson!! (When you said “everything we’ve done we’ve done together” made me emotional, you’re a fabulous team).
Thank you so much Emily, really appreciate the support, I do feel very lucky to call him mine and to have done everything we both have done together xx
I love watching your lessons. You and Banksy are doing amazing! Cameron gives such good instruction, the way he explains things makes such good sense. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey.
T you and Banksy are absolutely smashing it! So amazing to see how fab you both look. And the scope he has! Love seeing Cameron teach and the chemistry you all have. Believe in yourself girl, the sky is the limit. You are both beasting those jumps ❤️
Amazing riding, you should be proud of yourself!! Love the vlogs with you and Emily 😁 And it is so so helpful listening and watching Cameron’s lessons with you guys! So thank you!
All I can say is wow! I absolutely loved watching this vlog❤️😍only one i’ve watched from start to finish in a good while. Tina, you should be more than proud
I absolutely love your lessons with Cam, he's brilliant and you really ride well for him! Banksy is a superstar too! Thank you for another brilliant vlog!
The pair of you are more than capable of going any direction you choose. Let Cameron be the voice in your head, then he’s always there. You know what to do, trust yourself👍🏻😊🤗 lovely work on this day
@@LifeontheLeftRein the chronicles of you, Em, and Cameron while you get to jump some wicked stuff… Quite frankly Tina, it’s the best part of my week! When I can’t visit my pony, you know😂
Why did I hear that Wow wow wow in Cameron’s Voice 😂 THANK YOU it feels so good to be feeling such a strong bond together… long May the confidence continue 🤞
@@LifeontheLeftRein Now all I can hear is wow wow wow in Cameron’s voice😂😂 It’s amazing to watch, no pressure, relationship building and watching your confidence grow has been amazing!
Oh my god even I went wooooaaaahhhh out loud over that last FANTASTIC FENCE ! Love seeming your booming confidence Tina amazing and lovely to see ❤️❤️👑👑💪🏼💪🏼
I literally love all your vlogs I really do and this one was no different!!! I was counting strides and laughing and you inspired me to get my pony in and ride in the rain !!! Love love love you Tina and Banksy your always a clever pony 🤍🙏
Happy birthday Tina . Dont sell yourself short , Banksy would love the challenge and what’s to lose ? I think setting goals is exactly what you both need, trust yourself . You got this xoxoxo
You are such an inspiration to me! Keep pushing, keep trying, and always believe in yourself because we believe in you and your sweet Banksy boy. Thank you for sharing all of your journey with us!
Aww Tina Banksy just loves his job. The focus on his face as he is working is amazing to see. He so wants to please ❤️ These lessons have transformed your riding. The chipping in has almost disappeared as you ride him more confidently knowing you can go with him. Loving watching your progress. King Cam is just the best instructor! I am so happy you were brave enough to say well maybe badminton isn’t for me. You have to do what makes you happy 😃 But at the same time… whilst you have him and he is going so well make the most of it as you don’t want to look back later and wish you had 😘😘❤️❤️
Wow! You & Banksy absolutely flew over that joker & made it look oh so easy in the process. Your focus & attitude after the surprise refusal was really amazing as well- it didn't appear to phase you at all! I'll be keeping you in mind when I'm bricking it while jumping, as your journey is rather inspirational. 🤩 I think Banksy will do great show jumping if you do want to give it a go. Basically if it is not only easier for you get to, but removes your concern over Banksy getting footsore on hard ground while competiting, then it makes sense to set some goals in order to progress in show jumping for a season & see if it is something you want to pursue more. Remember it doesn't have to be a 'one or the other' thing either- you don't need to give up eventing in order to do show jumping😉 Maybe having 2 goals is an option for you- one for eventing consisting of confidently & competently completing a certain number of 1m events as the ground permits (which keeps eventing low key & enjoyable on Banksy for now), while having a primary show jumping goal which aims you towards qualifying for something & stretching your comfort zone & riding ability a bit more to keep you challenged & improving as a rider without the concern over footing? If at the end of the season you find you miss eventing more than you expected, then it is just a matter of shifting the goal focus more towards eventing again. I love these lesson vlogs with Cameron- he never fails to come up with interesting analogies or exercises. Cameron's take on the only love affair being that involving him & Bansky was hilarious. I hope there wasn't too many people making more of your friendship than there is... It is obvious to anyone who has watched you with Rob, that you love him with all your heart & Cameron clearly only has eyes for Banksy.... but that is between him, Banksy & Socks 😜🤣😜
In the least patronising way !! Your riding is looking amazing !!! You have improved an insane amount 🤩 I’ve watched you for years and have actually just bought my own , I love how honest you are and appreciate that always ❤️ Looking amazing xx
Wohooo Banksy on that jump Tina bloody hell he flew over it he’s such a good jumper. Keep listening to Cameron he is helping you no end on these lessons Tina and everyone can see the huge difference cos you are riding so,so much better and look fabulous. Omg you two fancying each other totally cracked me up.😂😂😂😂😂 He is in love with Banksy mind. Tfs 😎🏇😎
😂😂😂 he does love Banksy!! Defo doesn’t love Tina 😉 (wrong sex hahaha!!) I bloody love his lessons he’s such an epic teacher!! Super grateful to have found him via H&C 🧡
What a fantastic and informative vlog, you and Banksy are a great partnership and with Cameron’s tuition have blossomed and grown in confidence. Flying the last fence was amazing, what ever you decide to do moving forward I know you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves 💕💕
Watching that had me buzzing to go have a jump lesson! Cameron is a fantastic instructor, thanks for sharing the lesson with us! And you rode beautifully 👏👏 Banksy is full of class, those tight turns and that last fence you jumped put a massive smile on my face just watching it, bet it felt amazing! He can turn on a six pence and still look in full balance!
Yay I'm home sick so I can't wait to see Mr Bank's adventures. It's so good to see you excited for lessons. I remember you whining about having to do a solo lesson
It’s amazing to hear you say that you have anxiety aswell as I suffer from it & panic attacks very badly & hate doing 1 to 1 lessons but working away on it and slowly but surely getting there .. we’ll done what a lovely lesson & a great vlog x
Well you are doing fantastic.. & I just love banksy, I have a very bad dog attack down the beach & fell off .. the beach is my happy place but think positive as you say onwards and upwards xx
I love watching all your vlogs but wow this one was absolutely brilliant,I loved it. Watching you both u were flying and have come on so much. You are both looking awesome and Cameron is just the best I love him such a brilliant coach.xx
Hey Tina. I love Cameron’s Training vlogs. I would love to see you compete at Badminton. Especially after watching all Meg’s prep vlogs snd her competing this year was so good and was so emotional. You and a Banksy are so capable. You were so good in this session and have worked so hard this year xx
Tina, you can go as far and as high as you want to. You are quite capable, as is Banksy. Your lesson was brilliant. Now you just need to go to a competition and be able to put into practice what you have learned, and you might need Cameron to go with you to one and teach you how to put it into practice at one. To give you a routine to follow every time you go. You did brilliantly.
I love watching these videos and Em's too! Cameron looks like such an amazing teacher and you're doing so well! I just wish you and Em wouldn't interrupt each other's lessons so much 😭
@@LifeontheLeftRein I think sometimes Cameron is saying something and then whoever is filming will talk over him! I think if someone was filming my lessons I wouldn't want them to get involved in it if that makes sense...but that's probably just me. Main point is I do love watching your lessons 😅
woop woop ! can't wait to watch! i am currently a bit down because I broke my foot jumping on Sunday and now I am not aloud to do any exercise including riding😢. but this will cheer me up ! ❤
Wow! I loooooooved this video. You and Banksy are such a great pair. Cameron is wonderful. Best to you in whatever you decide to pursue. I know you'll be successful!
not NEARLY enough (as in almost no one) coaches actually EXPLAIN things! Cameron is such a wonderful wonderful teacher and I learned so much from your lesson yet again! thx for sharing Tina and Cameron! great lesson. And I know what you mean about goals, I've been languishing a bit in my riding as I don't have anything to work towards with my girl, it can be hard to get up the motivation to even ride some days, even though it's my favourite thing. Goals are important, even if you're not competing, so note to self, set some goals :)
Wow Tina. You really would've won that jump off! It's amazing to see you and Banksy become more and more confident and competent together. You two are amazing!
Wow Tina, I feel like I've just had a lesson with Cam :) He is such a wonderful teacher, I could have done with him 20 years ago, I might not be terrified of jumping if I had a Cam and a Banksy. Your ponio was wonderful as always. So proud of you :) Jx
I have always found lessons so intense on my own horses … I always find them much easier on other people’s school masters even if what I am doing is more technically challenging. After Meg’s vlog a while back about how to qualify for Badminton, I looked to see which area tickets you have. I completely understand why the Grassroots 90 isn’t the goal any more but if you do change your mind again - that’s ok too!! I always wanted to ride at Badminton… collecting the sheets from the jump judges. 🤣 SJ does give you more options and new challenges, and the surfaces enable you to crack on consistently without having to stop for hard ground. That final round was incredible!! 🤩 Finding the right instructor is crucial and I am so happy to see you making such massive progress. A goal could be entirely non competitive other than against yourself - to be the best rider you can possibly be. 😉 Lots of love. xx
The goals are so useful, but as with everything horses, are not written in stone. Go out and enjoy yourself. You do not have to win. You do not have to do any particular level. Just like Cam says: ENJOY. (When I am worried, I always tell myself just go out and see how each jump goes, you can always pull up and go home if there is something not quite right.) Your thoughtful management of the lovely Banksy is admirable. Also, Emily’s mare will catch up soon and the two of you could be off again together. 💝
Tina love watching you and Banksy. Now he looks like he's in top condition you should use this time to push and Banksy. You don't want to look back in a few year and say "I should have done more" xx
I’m thinking you are unsure of your aims at the moment because you’ve been dealing with so much loss. On one hand I want to shake you and say make a decision but on the other I’d say be kind to yourself and give yourself time to heal. Thanks for sharing as always!
If you could only just bottle Cameron up.. not only is he a great coach his just a ray of sunny shine what an amazing human he is. Tina don’t doubt yourself so much you are incredibly and look what you have done with your socials since starting and how it has grown I have do doubt you can do the same with your riding there is no stopping you, you are a force of a woman 😊 life is too short to only haves dreams why not make them memories x
You both are looking so good together! You can definitely always do both! Look at Ben Hobday, he's been to badminton and most showjumping shows this year!
you can be lucky you dont live here in Namibia. I quit my endurance career, our entrance fees are astronomically expensive, if i convert, it adds up to about now 191 pounds, and to qualify for international, you need to at least enter 6 per year, not even adding up the cost of having a horse here now too. I believe now with life, we all need to go beyond our comfort zone in everything, you 2 have achieved so much in the last couple of months, you can still achieve so much more, kick on Tina, dont dwell too much on the minds negativities. You have proved to yourself and to your horse, that you CAN!!!
In terms of your goals, I think you need to picture yourself at 100yrs old looking back on your life. Will you be sitting there thinking "I wish Banksy and I had competed at Badminton, we could've smashed it and I would've been so proud of us and I'm disappointed I didn't push myself to do it" or will you be sitting there content with cherishing the memories of doing the lower pressure competitions? Same question for the showjumping, jumping bigger heights etc. There's no right or wrong answer. Only you can choose. You and Banksy are more than capable whatever you choose and you've got a fantastic coach and great grooms/friends to help you and cheer you on. I think Banksy will be happy whatever path you choose. It all comes down to what is important to you in the long run. Nerves are short term; don't let them hold you back from what matters long term. Good luck, I'm looking forward to watching whatever you choose!
I suggest doing the regional finals. Dressage will improve you and Banksy. Show jumping is awesome too. Edited to add that I think that Cameron is a fan of Banksy and enjoys a chat.
He loves Banks which is adorable to see, and he just gets us which helps my self doubt so so much. Just wish he was a little closer so I could have weekly lessons 🐴
