Be able to get behind shuttlecock and hit it in front of your body for forehand clear and be able to hit side of your body for backhand clear. Please view the related clips and learn the skills first. Lee
Coaching Badminton Coach Lee sir today i tried this technique of getting behind the shuttle. And i think it was working. But i had to cover that extra distance everytime the opponent returns the shuttle near net... So my routine footwork was not able to cover the now increased distance so i was stretching out more to retrieve the shuttle near net. I don't know if its helping my game... i will try this technique against better players now and get back to you. Thanks. Cheers.
How can one cover all corners in this technique as taking extra steps to the back will slow you down to reach front court if your opponent plays a net drop shot ?
There are times you have to take it side of your body but as you try this way, you will be able to take more shots right way. Thre are many players practicing to take it side of their body. Lee
coach lee, but from what i see some pro players hit it sideways. like the current world no. 1 woman single, tai tzu ying. from what i see, she did it sideways. what do you think about this?
