No fair! I saw this little bird a few weeks ago on another channel and immediately tried to buy one. PayPal was not cooperating, so I had a few hours to talk myself off the ledge. And now here you are living your best life. One reason I opted out is that I can barely keep my umx foamie in the air with gyros and auto level, so this might have to wait. I do admire your smooth flying.
Hi Tim, it looks fun to build and fly. Thanks for showing all the buildings and flying. I noticed you have a set of Korean drum dancing stands in your living room, you play that? I am just curious about that.
Jeff - Actually, I do not know what type of foam they use. Seems like a custom made foam for absolute minimum weight. Try asking MinimumRC at their support email. They answered every question I had. Tim
Great video Tim as always! I've never seen a build like that before but I'm definitely interested. They make a geared Spitfire with retractable landing gear that I'm very interested in now. I would have liked to seen more of the build though. Have a great day Tim! Cheers!
Hi, I'm sure Tim won't mind if I point you to my build videos for this model, the first one is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IORvooiIJ9U.htmlsi=DFyEOEJrlFzUoxmK, I've also built the Spitfire, cheers 👍
That is a very good point, will try next build. Key learning point is the very lightweight structure needs very small amounts of glue. I was just using too much. Tim
I ordered one of these because I loved the Minimum RC Macchi M-33. I fly it off my little pond all the time. I can't wait to get the Minimum RC BAE Hawk. This video is going to help a lot. Thanks, Tim. I love Minimum RC planes. I didn't use the included glue I used Foam Tac and Bob Smiths Industries Foam Cure glue. I think they give you Uhu_por glue which works the same way. The glue that came with my Macchi M-33 was starting to yellow like it was old or exposed to air which is why I opted not to use it and use Beacon Foam Tac and BS Foam Cure.
Hi well I've opened my box of the red arrows minimum plane kit and there was no electrics in there did you have to pay extra to get your electrics .let me know
It depends how you ordered it from the website. MinimumRC asked me to do the review and sent me all the components I need to complete. On the website it is pretty clear in the selection menus how many servos, receivers, batteries, transmitters, chargers, etc. you will need. It just so happens that the ESC/receiver can bind to my Spektrum, DX6 transmitter, so no need for a new transmitter. If you contact Minimum at their support email, they get right back to you.
@@TimMcKay56 hi right ok then please can you let me know what electrics I've got to get and how much are they.as I've tried looking for them on the banggood website but couldn't find them.were did you get your red arrows minimum plane kit from.
Hi Philip here.ive just brought my red arrows minimum rc plane kit and I hope everything is in the box so I can get it going.i no I've got to buy the dx6 controler .did you get everything in your box let me know
@@TimMcKay56 hi right ok then that's good to know.i hope the same thing happens to me as can't afford to get all the other gear yet.as should get all the things to get us started.thanks
I built their spitfire, it really was a lot of fun to build. The retractable landing gear worked, I don't know if I'd try and land on them or not, but they did go up and down nice. Mine was somewhat nose heavy, I did balance it out and made a few successful flights before the wind picked up. It was way more durable than I had expected. I received a free KI 61, and ordered their butterfly T1, that should be here any day now. These really are a lot of fun.
@@TimMcKay56 I picked up some foam board from dollar general. I also have some spare servos ,esc's and receivers laying around . So I'm going to try my hand at making my first foam board plane.
