just wanted to say thanx! i got a bike yesterday with the same display but a different brand ( B'twin) the setting to increase the speed was password protected for me.so for others who stumble upon this video here is a quick tutorial: once i was in the default menu ( where you set the clock etc) you need to press +/- and hold them down. while holding them down you need to press the power button 8 times. the display will then prompt for a password. it should be 0512. once entered you get 2 options: change the size of your wheels and LSPD. i set mine to 45Km/h and while driving it averages at 35km/h. really happy with that and i wouldn't have figured it out without this video in the first place!
Another question, if you set your speed limit higher, like changing it from 16mph to 32mph, does that mean pedal assist will assist you up to 32mph instead of 16 mph and will this drain your battery quicker?
Level 3 pedal assist is pretty good on a 36v 12ah green cell battery with a 250w bafang motor, but I'm wondering how quickly will jacking up to level 9 pedal assist drain battery, as opposed to level 3 and what is the speed difference like?
*Hello! I have a front wheel Bafang 500 watts 48 volts.I am powered by a 48 volt battery. My display is not working. When buying a c 965, it worked. In an accident, I broke it and bought a c 850. He doesn't see the battery and the speed. Right now I bought c 961, he writes error 7b. The error code is incorrect voltage..The controller is 22 amps. Please tell me what could be the problem here? How do I solve it? Thanks!*
Nobody explains what the assist modes do. My controller defaulted to 3 levels, if I set it to the maximum does it just provide more finer control or does it provide more assistance?
If you are on mode 1 you get 10% pedal assist power, 10% throttle power. If you are on pedal assist 9 you get 100% throttle 100% pedal assist power. However if you set it so there is only 3 pedal assist modes, then assist #3 will be 100% power. If you have 5 pedal assist modes 5 will be 100% power.
Manual of my e-bike: level 1=20% up to 9=100% The power level (my e-bike) controls pedal assist, not throttle. Full power at any level with throttle, pushing it more or less. So I can combine pedal with throttle, or use each at a time. Trying best match with 7-speed gearbox. Not easy but funny, always learning and improving. I am 58 and this is the best thing I bought ever. No car no more. my best from Sao Paulo, Brazil. joao
@@joaogamboa7653 The power level controls pedal assist and Throttle. The power (throttle or assist) will cap at the assist level. See Desvio2000 answer above. He is correct.
@@MyDandilion Hi Shirley, sorry, I didn't say Desvio2000 was wrong. I just tried to explain how my bike works. As mentioned earlier, my bike has a throttle (thumb) that speeds up regardless of the level set for pedal assist. Even if I set level 1, 3 or 8, I get full power just pushing the throttle. Apologies for my English, I am a Portuguese native speaker. Regards, Joao.
Hi. Niceyoutube channel. Please show how to set the brake sensors to cut off the motor on the C961 display, I'm using an aftermarket brake kit for hydraulic brakes. Thanks. Joe
