BAG-it 3G for LitterMaid - an end to buying receptacles

You know for how intricately all this stuff needs to work in tandem, everything taking its turn and stuff, it's really like a perfectly working Rube Goldberg device that works perfectly, and works perfectly every time!

Good instructional video, but the box should have been facing us a little more so we could actually see what you were doing :) Just an observation....

I just got the big multi cat one. I like the metal lid liner for bags-defiinately going to check that out. I had the OG Littermaid (purchased about 20 years ago) and it didn't last very long ... it was very loud. This new one fits perfectly in a litter box cabnet (without the ramp) and the walls of the cabnet keeps the lid from flopping open. I would suggest others try the same or put it near a wall and tape newspaper to wall, to keep major poop slingers from making a mess. I plan on getting another one, but will go on offerup to get a used cabnet/end table, and cut a hole. I recommend others get a cabnet, as well...thrift store etc... measure accordingly, while making sure there is about 3 to 4 inches gap between wall and tray,, so it will open just enough, without straining motor. I noticed people said this one was loud- I don't notice this at all....wayyyy quieter than the original. I always lined trays with tiny bathroom trash bags, from the dollar store . If you have more than one cat, it will get pricey and these containers are thicker=more expensive. So far I like it, but it was like 189 bucks from petco.... I know I was over charged- I saw someone claim 75 bucks (probably the small one) was desperate because my male cat will poop on the dog bed, if there is so much as a single turd in there. Upon thinking about I bet you could find a barely used one for a deal. I thought about the petsafe one, but those trays and litter are pricey...my cat has a sensitive stomach and if they get diarrhea, the crystals won't clump and stick to those very wide metal grates. Something that dawned on me, when I was looking at it in the store. Another thing to keep in mind is that kittens should not be anywhere near clumping litter (the fear is the clay will cause an intestinal blockage, when cleaning it off themselves), so I would hold off until they are 7 month to a year old.

I got a different litterguard, to keep litter from falling underneath the litterbox when it cleans

Will you guys be creating a permanent chute? Like a hard plastic receptacle. I ordered the permalid and insert, but I’d like it to fit in a chute like how litterworks has. Or do you know if your insert will sit in a litter works chute?

I bought the 3.2 multi-cat and I got it hooked up yesterday and it keeps getting stuck when it dumps the litter into the container and I don't understand why I didn't overfill it I filled it to the line what would cause this and how do I prevent it from happening

I'm interested in purchasing the bag-it but can you please explain how I'd use the permalid? I get that the bag-it holds the plastic bag in place but how does the perma-lid come in to play? I'm here looking at the litter box trying to figure out how I'd attach it to the unit 😂

Does this work on the multi cat litter maid 3.2 edition?
