Bag Regret? Exchanging the LV Diane for the LV Lockme Tender | What Happened? 

I know, I know....I returned her, but I had to. It's ok people, sometimes you need to go with your gut.

I have the LockMe Tender and I absolutely love it! The leather is beautiful and it fits enough of the essentials for a normal day.

08/26/23 Thank you, Thank you. I have been looking n looking at the Diane for months now. Immediately I thought the d-rings on each side of bag when leather strap is attached are going to RUB the bag. I have searched for reviews of this possible issue to no avail until TODAY I found your review. I even found on Etsy a leather shield for LV bags to attach to strap clips when attached to rings on side of bags!! I am convinced this is an issue. I agree leather strap needs to b longer for this beautiful bag. Thank you again for this your review!!

Good call returning that bag. I was in lv recently and I almost died at the prices of things that in fact look pretty cheap imo. All of the leathers have such a heavy plastic coating that you’d never truly see or feel the leather. I saw a rosaline purse that had a cheap white plastic on the insides of the card sleeve. When I asked what kind of plastic that is, they had no idea. To me the plastic lining was like raincoat material from a cheap bargin store. Im sticking with my vintage items. At least they are still going strong. 😊 If I want any LV I’ll just get it pre loved I think unless they have something that is priced well.

I have the Diane in monogram. Same concern with the side metal clips rubbing against the leather trim. I still love it! I still enjoy it. Consider the traditional monogram.

I bought this few weeks ago and loved it so much specially with light neutral colors. Not a big fan of canvas strap either but depends what its been worn with. Right choice of colors bring the beauty out Also i like trying different things rather than sticking to what everyone is carrying around. All my bags have leather straps so thought of having something different than my usual style. So far loving it. It looks gorgeous. However all ur pros and cons definitely makes sense. Also i feel when we wear a bag as a cross body its more like a sporty look. So for me even a leather strap or a chain strap they never look very classy when worn cross body style. So its the way we carry a bag too. But thats just me 😊

Fully agree with you on the Diane….price is just outlandish….I do have several clients that have the Diane in monogram canvas and love it! Actually most of my clients stick to LV canvas and are not fans of their emprente leather nor do they like the fabric straps that come with the bags……great video…enjoy your new bag, love the gold hardware 😊

I saw your reveal of your Diane and was surprised at your choice. It was pretty but.... the strap! I have one from the Speedy 20 and use a monogram strap. Have never used that guitar strap. I think it downgrades the bag which is busy enough with the two tone. I chose the epi Buci which is similar but with a leather strap. The strap rubbing on the flap edge is not an issue so far.

Oh sorry it didn’t work out ! And funny enough I am selling my lock me tender to get the Diane !! Lol

I love the Diane bag. The single reason I haven't bought it in the cream leather that I like is because it doesn't come with a leather crossbody strap. I am not a fan of the cotton and nylon straps and I wish LV would at least give us the option of buying a separate leather strap. How timely is this video? I'm currently considering a Lockme Ever BB in the griege to take to customer events. :). Enjoy your new bag! It's so pretty!

I agree with you! I recently just purchased the same bag but I bought it in London Heathrow which makes it lesser in price than in the US. I wouldnt buy it either if it's almost 3k.

External back pocket makes me interested always but the wavy zip in the Diane was a deal breaker.

I really prefer leather straps for cross body and would not purchase such as expensive bag with a fabric strap. I agree the bags are getting so expensive. I did just buy a crazy expensive Pochette Assessoires in the creme empreinte leather. I will probably keep but if the bags I like start getting into the $3k range, it will limit how many and how often I can buy and may buy more contemporary brands. I think how you feel is how you feel and is completely valid.

Vuitton and other luxury companies have gone absolutely crazy with their prices. I like the Diane bag also but there is no way I would pay anywhere near that price. You can always check the resale market to see if there is one for less money.

I got the lockme tender but I returned it because the front flap sat crooked. I looked at many RU-vid videos on this bag and everyone else seems to have the same issue too. Unfortunately I think yours looks crooked as well. It drove me crazy.

I think you did the right thing. Your Diane was beautiful BUT for $3000 it should be EXACTLY as you want, not “well it WOULD be perfect IF xyz was a little different”. And you are right, LV is missing a trick but not even selling an extra strap in the same color. Which, imo they should’ve done in the first place for that sort of money. So, see it as a blessing! I would’ve gotten that bag but the canvas strap is a deal breaker for me.

I own the LV monogram Diane. It is not fat in the front like the Lock Me bag, which I do not like at all. I paid, with tax 2100. It is hip, cool, with both straps and holds all of my essentials. Different strokes for different folks, eh?

The darker strap is purely for color transfer as you have a light color bag .

Do you think your bag would fit a sunglass case?

What’s comparable for dressing up or down in a leather? Preferably bi color with a *tad* more room then the Diane?

Leather is more expensive and luxe than coated canvas...that's why there's such a price hike...

Your Lock me tender is beautiful and the interior reminds me of what they initially called the Passy in monogram . The Diane will be in the solid color Arizona . 🩷

I want this bag so bad in all leather but oooofff that price tho, I also wish the strap was adjustable. 🫣🫣
